Sanibel Island is far enough south to fall in a subtropical climate zone, meaning it's warm enough even during winter months to enjoy summer activities - golf, boating, swimming, cycling, strolling on the beach, etc. In the summer, sea breezes keep it as cool as other southeastern coastal areas. As a result, Sanibel is a popular year-round tourist destination.
Sanibel is a sanctuary island. Over 60% of the land area is permanently set aside as nature preserves. Strict zoning laws prohibit high-rise construction. The result is a low-density tropical paradise with a laid back atmosphere. Just enough specialty shops, restaurants and activities to satisfy the ambitious. Tranquil enough for those who want to simply relax.
This meant it was not only a great place to spend time at a second home, but also a great place to invest.

My wife & I grew up in the northeast - she in New Jersey and I in upstate New York. We both enjoyed vacationing in waterfront settings - the Jersey Shore and Adirondack lakes. We have lived in the Atlanta, Ga. area now for over 30 years, which puts us within striking distance of several lakes as well as the beaches on the Atlantic coast. But we longed for a winter escape. Sanibel filled the bill.

I spent a long weekend in this condo and it was absolutely amazing! The views from the lanai were breathtaking! You get a view of the a lagoon and the Gulf of Mexico! The condo had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing! I would recommend this condo to anyone! The pool was clean and refreshing after a long day at the pristine beach!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
