Main Level:
Enter the main level either by the front door or through the attached two-car garage into a large open living area with Sony 52” Sony HDTV and fireplace plus a kitchen, and 2 dining rooms with seating for 6 and 8 respectively plus a half bath and 2 large balconies with spectacular views.
The full kitchen has a large island with seating for 4 people with KitchenAid appliances including; gas cook top, microwave oven, oven, refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker and water dispenser, dishwasher, service for 16, utensils, pots and pans, etc.
Lower Level:
The 800 square foot master suite is a getaway in itself with a king-sized bed plus 36" flat screen HDTV with Directv service, gas fireplace, separate bath area with two vanities, walk-in closet, enclosed toilet and bidet, a stall shower, jetted tub, dry sauna, and private balcony. Bedroom Two features a queen bed and a twin bed with a private balcony while Bedroom Three has a queen bed and a bonus room with a bunk bed. A conveniently located laundry room completes this level.
Two Bedroom Loft:
Accessed by a spiral staircase, this two bedroom loft is finished in natural wood with shared full bath with jetted tub and separate stall shower. Bedroom 1 has (2) queen beds and Bedroom 2 has a king bed.

Convenient Access to the Ski Slope:
Due to all the amazing powder that Alta and Snowbird ski resorts offer during winter, the Salt Lake County Sheriff closes Little Cottonwood Canyon for avalanche control work when necessary in the morning just prior to the resorts opening. The closure takes place 1 mile west of the rental condominium. The proximity of the condo provides the ability to be ahead of all the traffic that is waiting at the road block when the canyon opens for uphill traffic. You can expect to be up the hill and on the slopes much faster than the majority of the skiers commuting from other areas of the city.

Great condo!! We had ten guys on our annual ski trip wanting to ski Little Cottonwood resorts and this condo served us perfectly. It was clean, spacious, relaxing and allowed us to all stay together while being close to the mountains. I would rent it again.

This place is amazing! We had plenty of room for 8 and all the comforts of home and very hospitable host. We enjoyed the large family room for football watching during Bowl season as welll as ample space to sit down for a meal together. We also enjoyed a well equiped kitchen and a great location! We will return!

This rental had everything we were looking for. Its location relative to the resorts and other local attractions was perfect, and the mountainous views on site were simply beyond words. All amenities seemed new and worked perfectly (plenty of hot water, easy reliable climate control, etc.). Actually all the furnishings appeared to be new as well. I was surprised at how comfortable the beds were, which is pretty rare for a rental in my opinion. Simple condo access via the attached garage was awesome too. After a day on the mountain we’d just drive in, shed our gear on the spot not worrying about any mess, and be in the kitchen making a snack in seconds. The lower level master bedroom/suite had absolutely everything one could possibly ask for, seriously. It’s that amazing (see details in listing). And lastly, just like the panoramic views, mere words can’t describe the vastness of this property. It’s huge! We had a rather large party and the cavernous layout easily accommodated everyone with room to spare. It was just a wonderful stay all around. So much so in fact that it prompted me to write this review, which I would normally avoid like the plague. Anyway, I hope you found it useful and your experiences become as memorable as ours. If this unit becomes available for your vacation dates, grab it! I know without a doubt I will again.

My cousin and I had a great time at Alta Approach when we went Thanksgiving 2010. The condo was very accessible, amazingly beautiful location, great for families and first class appointments throughout. We were able to get to Alta/Snowbird in 15 minutes as well as any location in the greater Salt Lake area in 30 minutes. The views were gorgeous, both up Little Cottonwood canyon and out over the Great Salt Lake. We had ample space to spread out for a very festive holiday and we felt pampered by the condo’s decadence. I would definitely suggest it to all of my friends and family for future trips to the greatest snow on earth!

We come out annually for our big trade show in SLC, and we have used Altabird rentals for 6 years now (mulitple locations). Every time we come everything is right on - very clean living space, bedroons and baths, kitchen, etc. The kitchen is always well stocked with everything we need regaridng pots, plates, glasses and silverwear. If there ever is a problem like a light out, whatever, they fix it immediatley. I feel they are reasonably priced, well located, and zero hassle. I also like the fact the owner continually updates and modernizes his units. Excellent recomendation! We like it so much we are now bring our staff out for the winter show! Great resaurants close by as well.

This is a very comfortable setting. Well located, only minutes from shopping and minutes from Snowbird. Facility was clean and all was in good working order. Would definitely stay here again, without question.
