We stayed in this house over Martin Luther King weekend and couldn't have asked for a better place. The location is quiet, secluded, within 20 min. from Yosemite Valley and within 5 minutes of the lookout of Half Dome! Chris and Doe gave us good directions to the place, we had no trouble finding it at all. We enjoyed our stay in this place quite a bit; it was clean, spacious and cozy. On the morning we left, we saw a grey wolf under out bedroom window - what a treat! We would stay in this place again in a heartbeat and recommend it to our friends and family! We took our college age sons for Thanksgiving 2012 to Yosemite this past year. We stayed at Chris and Doe's El Capitan view cabin and we loved it! Everything was just what we needed and very nice beds. Cozy cozy by the fire each night and cooking , views just perfect. Doe welcomed us buy phone right away and we just felt very comfortable. We have told several friends about this home and location, but we hope to return this summer. :) our sons both live out of state and its just right for a family gathering place to" disconnect" and be filled with peace from the surrounding nature scape. Look forward to a return trip in warmer months.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at Chris and Doe's El Cap View cabin the weekend of Thanksgiving 2009. The location is perfect inside the park in Foresta. The location is remote and quiet, but ten minutes from Yosemite Valley. It was a perfect location for daily activities in the valley and had all the amenities for nice dinners back at the house. Even one night BBQing in the snow. Chris and Doe made it easy from first contact to when we left; there directions and suggestions (including Thanksgiving Dinner at the Awahnee, Excellent) were great.
