This wonderful Hilton Head Island home is located in the heart of North Forest Beach! Thirteen steps lead to the entrance, with four wicker chairs under a covered porch. The living room has a sleeper sofa, loveseat, HDTV, DVD player and opens to the dining room. The dining room has seating for up to eight. The fully equipped kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, four bar stools, desk, and stereo with CD player. A sitting area has a sleeper sofa and door to the pool area. A laundry room has an extra refrigerator for additional groceries.
A bedroom to the right of the entry has a king bed, TV, chair, and shares a bathroom (tub/shower combination) with the bunk bed room. The second bedroom has two bunk beds, TV, DVD player, and shares a bathroom with the first bedroom. A king bedroom has a king bed, TV, and door to pool area. A bathroom is located in the hallway with a tub and shower combination. A fourth bedroom has a queen bed, TV, DVD player, and shares the hall bath. Fourteen steps lead to the second floor. The master bedroom has a king bed, chair, TV, VCR, DVD player, and mini bar with sink and small refrigerator. A private bath has a jetted tub and separate shower. The deck has a new 13ft x 24ft pool, table for up to eight, four lounge chairs, and a gas grill. This lovely home is the ideal retreat for your next vacation to Hilton Head!

Our family had a beautiful vacation in this house this past summer. It was truly the perfect house for us- 4 bedrooms off the main living room/dining room, huge suite upstairs, large kitchen with a counter that rivals the size of a bar at a pub! Some of the perks were the extra frig in the laundry room off the kitchen, the loveseat in the kitchen, and the front porch with ceiling fan (such Southern charm!) Location was perfect-- just a few houses from the beach and a short bike ride to Coligny. Everyone's favorite feature was of course the pool-- on a private fenced in deck. Truly a beautiful home which we would love to visit again this coming summer. Hesitant to rave too much about it as we like to think of this as our special find! All in all a great place to call home.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family has been staying in the N Forest Beach area of Hilton Head Island for 21 years. Our stay at 19 Jacana was by far one of our favorites! The home is beautiful, filled with sunlight and charm. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and cooking essentials. The large private deck and swimming pool area is perfect for a family. The ocean is a stone's throw away, and Coligny Plaza -- always a hit with my family -- is within easy walking distance. Coligny offers a variety of interesting shops and restaurants, including a hardware store and a grocery store. In the evenings, our large crowd visited the Big Bamboo where we enjoyed great food and live music. A particular family favorite was taking an early beach walk, followed by a yummy breakfast at Skillets. With the beach right outside, and all the great food choices available nearby, we didn't use our car for days at a time.

We had 3 adult couples stay at 19 Jacana over Memorial Day Weekend. The house was fantastic. It was close to Coligny Plaza, a short walk down the beach to the Holiday Inn Tiki Hut and we just had an overall great weekend. We would recommend this house to everyone and hopefully we can stay there again.

We just took a long girls weekend and this house could not have been more perfect. The pictures do not do this house justice. The pool and deck area were nice and private and wired with outdoor speakers. It also gets great morning and early afternoon sun - and fortunately gets some shade late afternoon to escape the humidity. Easy, easy walk to the beach and Coligny Plaza. Property mgmt was very responsive when we had to have a maintenance call - especially for a Saturday night. We will definitely return!!

My family and I had the best holiday at this house. It is well layed out for the group we entertained on Thanksgiving. We thought the cabinets were well stocked with dishes, cups, glasses ect. The # of bedrooms was exactly what we were looking for.(The only complaint would be we went to open the couch in the living room to make up and the linens were there from before, we closed the couch and did not use it) The pool was heated as we paid for. After the pool cleaning crew came it appeared to be cooler, not sure if temp was touched. I preferred it being warmer. Overall the house was very well kept, the managers of the property checked on us and were friendly (spoke to the people we travelled with) The location is close enough to the beach &restaurants so you could walk. Bike rentals available close by also. I would definitely recommend this property and the site we booked from.
Owner response:We just changed housekeeping services the month before and the linens in the living room couch must have been left by the prior service. The thermostat on the pool heater is set for 90 degrees F.

What a wonderful home to spend a family vacation at. My family of 12 had a great time and they all still talk about the the beautiful house, short walk to the ocean and the convience of your private pool. Shopping was so close. We also went parasailing, crabbing and experienced the great restaurants of Hilton Head. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation on Hilton Head. Thanks so much.

We spent our spring break here two years in a row and have loved it. Nice, quiet location that is literally just steps to the beach and only a short walk or bike ride to Coligny. We love the heated pool for the kids and the big dining table for family dinners and games.

Just returned from a family (8 adults, 2 kids) vacation at this lovely house. It was all we expected and more. The home is beautiful, ideally located, nicely furnished and provided us with a great vacation experience. The location is perfect - less tha 200 yards to a relatively private beach area, a quiet street, yet within walking distance of Coligny Plaza.
