Location: Athens, Attica, Central Greece, Greece, Europe (5 min walk to Subway, 10 min Acropolis, 15 min Syntagma)

Accommodations:  Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)

This apartment is located right at the heart of Athens, in the older part of the city, called Plaka.

Within 30 minutes walking distance you can visit Acropolis and all the associated historic sites, or you can walk to the center of Athens. Plus, you have easy access to all the restaurants and entertainment right in Plaka.

This is a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment, that will accommodate two people maximum. It is rather small, but it is recently painted, has a kitchen, a double-size bed, a bathroom with a shower and a private balcony. Rent is 80 Euros/night, all year around, except as marked in the calendar. You can pay cash when you meet the owner to get the key.

Even though it is located in a rather busy square in Plaka with many stores around it, it is very quiet because it does not have access towards Plaka (the balcony is in the inside of the building).

I think this is perfect place for a single person or a couple (no children) visiting Greece who want to be near the center, and within walking distance to many historical sites and restaurants, shops, and entertainment, but quiet at the same time.

  • We stayed in the apartment the first of May '08 and it was delightful. You are literally at the base of the Acropolis! Muriel is wonderful and will show you the best place for dinner in Plaka. You can easily get around the city with the apartment a 5 min. walk from the metro. The apartment is SMALL! Don't bring a lot of luggage or you won't have room to move around. But, if you travel light, the apartment is perfect and the location can't be beat! Muriel has most everything you need to be comfortable including a coffee pot and blow dryer. I would highly recommend it as the perfect romantic Athens apartment.

  • The apartment is very conveniently located in the very heart of Plaka, that is the centre of the city. The Acropolis and all the archeological sites are nearby. On the other hand, the apartment is very tiny and with no view.

  • This apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the Plaka, a short walk to many sights and situated on a charming square. The apartment itself is quite small and dark but very functional. No view from the balcony. Great if you want to experience Athens as a local, but not if you're looking for something fancy.

  • If you are looking for the most convenient and charming place to explore Athens, choose this apartment. It has all the comforts and is located right under the Acropolis. Walk down the street and you are at the entrance to the Acropolis. Walk out the door of the building, look up and you will be amazed at the history and beauty that is directly above you. Restaurants, shopping and history is at your doorstep.

  • The apartment is situated in a perfect location, metres from the restaurants and shops in Plaka. It is also very close to tourist attractions and the underground. It has everything you need. I would recommend it to any couple who are staying in athens.
