  • The Duluth cabin was both comfortable and convenient for a weekend away from the city. It offered a beautiful view with the amenities of being at home. I will certainly return to "The Duluth Cabin" soon with the knowledge of a weekend well spent!

  • I had been to Duluth a handful of times and always enjoyed the scenery. Of all place I've stayed, this was my favorite. With the bay on one side and the lake on the other it was quite the scene! It was a nice quiet getaway, but we were just minutes from downtown Duluth. The cabin was huge! A perfect spot for a big group or just a few. I hope to get up there again in the summer to enjoy the lake when its warm!

  • I have stayed here at this location several times now, and each time has been a wonderfully relaxing experience. The nicely appointed rooms offer a welcoming warmth that when coupled with the cozy heated gazebo and gas fireplace in the living room are second to none. It is a Duluth getaway at the its highest level of enjoyment. Scenic Canal Park and access to many restaurants is just minutes away, as is the historic and legendary Duluth Lift Bridge, approaching its 100th year of service.   • I had a great time at the cabin. I was shocked when I saw how much room there was. I definitely will be bringing the family up. The property was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the gazebo. The way the gazebo is set up it’s a nice little getaway. If you like to have some quiet time.

  • Just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you. The property was absolutely lovely and so very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay Sunday night and leave early Monday morning but I would certainly love to stay there again next time we visit Duluth.

  • What a wonderful weekend we enjoyed at this house! Gina and James were great hosts - before, during and after the stay. Everything was as advertised. Any questions / concerns we had were quickly addressed. The deposit was promptly returned. Most importantly - the house was very comfortable, plenty of room for two adults, one teenager and one large black lab to relax and enjoy the weekend. It is apparent that Gina and James are in the process of making many wonderful improvements, too. I loved the tile work in the dining area - very nice nautical theme they are building into the home! And, what a GREAT location - very close to the Canal Park area and it's great dining and shopping options; close to skiing; fabulous short walk through the woods to the Lake Superior shoreline. What a view of the lake, even in winter! We cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of what this little house has to offer in the summer. Gina/James - thank you so much for a wonderful getaway weekend and all your hospitality! We'll be back!

  • The beds were great and the place was very clean and comfortable.We enjoyed the location. The heaters in the bathrooms were very welcome. My son appreciated the privacy of the gazebo. We enjoyed the walks on the beach and looked longingly at the hot tub each time we went by the tub. We would have liked the use of that! The dogs were so happy to join us for the holiday. Thanks for being dog friendly. Thanks for the quick refund of our deposit. I have a few suggestions for the future. 1)There were no linens for the futon and sofa sleeper and there were only pillows on the master bed. It would be good to let renters know this so they can be prepared before bedtime. 2)The kitchen could use a rubber scraper, mixer or blender, cutting board to protect your counters and oven suitable dishes.

  • This cabin exceeded our expectations; it was clean and spacious; the short walk to the beach through the back is gorgeous, like walking through the woods; the view of the bay from the front deck spectacular! We definitely want to stay there again next year.
