Casa Melagrano is a charming Italian country house that has been fully restructured and restored using its original stones. Airy comfortable rooms, outdoor private swimming pool and breathtaking views of distant "borgos" (small villages) that dot the appenine hillsides, make this villa a remarkable panoramic setting. The villa will comfortably accommodate eight people, and is fully equipped with all amenities for a trouble free and relaxing holiday to remember.

The Casa is a 50 minute drive from Bologna, a magnificent medieval city that has an international airport, and Florence, the world renowned city for rich artistic culture, is only 55 minutes away. The closest train station is located in the town of Vergato about an eight minute drive down the hill from Casa Melagrano and another 20 minute drive to the Spa town of Porretta Terme.

  • We were very happy with our stay at Casa Melagrano. The house and surroundings were so much better than expected. The photos on the website do not do it justice. We were a group of 8, including 4 children, and we had more than enough comfortable space in the house as well as out. The property is so beautiful and private, that we did not want to leave. The owners provided everything we needed and then some. We would definitely recommend this property.
