The home is everything mentioned in the web listing and more. It lacks for nothing and is very well maintained. Grandma checked off # 42 on her bucket list - snowmobile the Rocky Mountains. We highly recommend this home.

Awesome home!!!!!!! Stayed 3 days with kids and grandkids. (12 total) Had a fabulous time and everyone went sledding/boarding right from the house. The owners have thought of everything. If you think that you forgot something, don't worry, it is probably at the house. The owner was a pleasure to work with. We look forward to staying at the Spiel Hous next year. Our extended family spent a wonderful week from December 25 to January 1, 2012 at Spiel Haus. The home met all of our expectations--it was clean and well-maintained. The large great room allowed all of us to be together and the large table plus bar gave us ample eating space. The owner was very helpful and quick to answer our email questions. We would definitely recommend this home for a family gathering and hope to visit it again ourselves.

This place is awesome! Tons of room, including plenty of bedrooms, a living room big enough for everyone to be together, and a playroom (stocked with toys and games) to send the kids if you don't. Gorgeous deck and playhouse for the kids. Plenty of nice dishes and towels and a large hot tub. The best part is that the owners are so accommodating. They answered all my questions and even sent a list of activities for our large group. We had a minor problem with the hot tub, and they had a repair man out to fix it within hours. The place is so great, and the experience was so easy, that we intend to rent again very soon. I could not recommend it more.

We had a group of 13 and really enjoyed our stay here. The house had lots of space. We were pleased the ktichen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook. There were tons of things to do in the area, and it was pleasant and private just to sit on the back deck and enjoy the weather or the hot tub. A great place to stay if you have a large group!

Took our family here June 2011. Had a wonderful time with our group of 8 adults and 5 children. Lots of room. Good amenities. Couldn't have done better with a resort imho. Owners made it very easy to enjoy our time there. There were many activities within a few miles. Would do it again if we could.

We have stayed at the Spiel Haus many times over the years, and it is always the first place we call to book our annual golf and gaming reunion. What sets the Spiel Haus apart from other mountain rentals is that is well laid out for large groups - lots of nice bedrooms and a great open space to gather for games. The house is always very clean and free of the clutter which is found in so many mountain places. Whether sitting in the hot tub under the stars or just staring at the mountains - this is a great place to stay. Susan, Jeff, Kathy and Rick are always courteous and accommodating.

What an awesome home for our stay during the most beautiful time in Colorado. With a family of 9, this was the perfect place. The peace and seclusion we needed but just minutes to wherever we wanted to be. The house was exactly as advertised plus I never had one teenager complain about not having enough hot water - that was our bonus! The great room was perfect for gathering the entire family but the house was large enough with 3 floors to create space if we needed it. Finally, the morning sunrise and rising moon where out of this world for framing 4 great days in the snow!

60th Birthday

I rented the Spiel Haus for my husband's upcoming 60th birthday. Our family was all together for this surprise visit for him. Our son, his wife and daughter, our daughter and my mother were all there. What an amazing house! We had everything we needed right there at the house. The location was beautiful and so close to shopping and sight seeing! My husband, daughter and myself come from Florida, so we were thrilled to have the colder temperatures and snow! Lovely views from the house. Just a great time and I would definitely rent the house again and also recommend it to family and friends. The pictures one sees is exactly how the house looks, nice, clean and wonderful! Also, the directions we were given from the Denver airport were right on, we drove straight to the house with no problem. Thank you so much!!

Great Family Reunion House

My family used this for our reunion. There are 4 families and we all fit very comfortably in this house. The owners have done a great job at making sure you have everything you need - all the cooking supplies, games, TVs - it was very easy to entertain young kids and adults. The house is located in a prime spot - near Winter Park, YMCA of the Rockies, and Grand Lake.

My first trip back to Winter Park since moving from Denver, and we were extremely happy with our choice to stay at the Spiel Haus. Even bigger than the photos make it look. The hot tub was great, and the foosball table kept the fun going late into the night. I highly recommend the Spiel Haus!

Great house, BEAUTIFUL view, nice layout, awesome location, accommodates 4 families very well. The thing that we liked most about the house was the game-room. It was a great place for the kids to play, giving the adults some quiet time in the evenings. We also loved the hill behind the house. We used it for tubing and slaying. The hot tub was a plus, after a long day of skiing.We had the most wonderful experience. Remember to drink lots of water as the home is around 12,000 feet. We can't wait to go back!! My family stayed at the Spiel Haus for 1 week during August 2008. It is a beautiful home that was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we desired. We have children aging from 8 to 19 and all were happy. It is spacious, clean, and conveniently located to all of the activities we planned. We especially enjoyed the drive to Grand Lake where we enjoyed walking downtown and then renting a pontoon to cruise the lake. We also loved our whitewater rafting experience on the Colorado River. The starting point was in Kremmling, a 45 minute drive from the house. I would recommend this home to any friend wanting to visit the Winter Park, Colorado area.

We had a terrific time here! The house was the perfect size for our 2 families - 4 adults, 6 children ranging from 3-9 yrs. There was plenty of room for the kids and still allow the grown ups quiet time. We especially appreciated the hiking guides that were available.

Aloha from Hawaii! We came to Colorado for a week long summer vacation and it was so nice to stay in your home. We have never been to this part of Colorado before, so we spent the whole time exploring. We got a week pass to Rocky Mountain National Park - we were luckyy to see moose, elk (over 100 in all), and fox. Other activities included horseback riding (our favorite), golf, hiking and eating!

The house was wonderful...We just wanted to let you know we made history. There were 72" of snow within 48 hours! In our children's lifetime, they have never seen so much snow. They tunneled out int he snow for two to three hours. WHEW!!!
