Year Purchased: 2005
I grew up near a lake, and love the beach. When I married, we moved to Island Lake in Michigan. During the long cold northern winters, we day-dream about "The Island," (the local name for Mustang / Padre Island).
We love to vacation at our condo, and wish that we could visit more often. We take long walks on the warm sunny beach, and collect shells. In a few years we plan to retire and live all winter at the beach!
Why the Owner Chose Port Aransas
I like to take beach vacations. While on vacation trips, we looked at beach resorts in California, Carolinas, and Florida. In 2005 we visited "The Island" and fell in love. Of all the beaches that we have seen, this is the nicest. It has miles of open beach with no buildings, just you and the ocean waves. I love to drive down a beach that seems endless. "The Island" just makes me feel happy and relaxed.
Our resort is the most beautiful place on this lovely island. It is located in a quiet area, away from the crowds. Often you can have the whole beach to yourself! I hope that you will enjoy my dream condo on the beach!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Walk out the door, and you are on the beach in seconds. The lagoon pools are fantastic. The tropical gardens and palm trees are lovely. The condo is roomy, with a complete kitchen and washer/dryer. We enjoy the king bed and romantic Jacuzzi for two. It's a fun place for a family vacation, or a romantic weekend.
From our resort it's just a 10 minute drive to the city. I like to visit antique stores in Corpus Christi. I also like the cute Island shops, restaurants, Botanical Garden, Birding Center, fishing and dolphin-watch cruises. There's just never enough time for all there is to do!
