The covered porch with its rocking chairs and big cedar swing is just 25 feet from the crystal clear, rushing water of this certified trout stream. There's a deep swimming hole right out front and miles of trout-filled waters for even the most avid fly fisherman to enjoy! There are big tubes to "tube the Tusquittee Creek," a horseshoe pit under the lush green trees, lots of Hummingbirds and flowers, apple trees, and wonderful mountain views all around you!
Have supper on the big glass patio table at creekside, then curl up in front of the fireplace and watch the sun go down through the big French doors in the greatroom with its hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. Let the creek lull you to sleep in the big master bedroom with Queen bed and full bath while the kids settle in to the two twin beds in bedroom #2 with a second full bath. Got extra company with you? There's a big sofa sleeper in the great room. The kitchen and breakfast bar are sunny and roomy and there is a second covered porch with a gas grill just outside the kitchen door.
Visit the quaint courthouse square Farmers Market for fresh mountain grown produce. The square is also site a of many festivals and craft shows. There is a community theatre, rodeo, an old fashioned "pickin" with mountain music at the nearby music parlor on Saturday night. Lots of great restaurants and shops. Visit the Ocoee Olympic rafting site for an afternoon of whitewater adventures!
Take a cruise on Lake Chatuge with it's 133 miles of shoreline or rent a jet-ski or pontoon for an afternoon on the lake, hike the Appalachian Trail. Visit John C. Campbell Folk School with mountain craft classes for kids and adults and mountain concerts and festivals, visit the Georgia Mountain Fair and music show in nearby Hiawassee, Georgia, ride the Smoky Mountain Railroad (with dinner theatre on board) or Blue Ridge Mountain railroad scenic tours for the most spectacular mountain views ever. Visit the Cherokee Indian Reservation for outdoor dramas, crafts, and a Harrah's Casino.
