Treat yourself to this well appointed ideal sunny private gated and secure residence which permits guests to experience the warm native island charm from the historic Eastern Road area just a stone's throw away from where one of the island's most famous pirates, Blackbeard, maintained his lookout tower. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, local fruit bearing trees and frequented by a variety of local exotic birds, this sunny house is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing in the hammock, sunbathing poolside in the afternoon sun, stargazing at night or strolling to a nearby beach. This property has an alarm system.
This air-conditioned tastefully furnished home is well maintained and tiled throughout but comfortably accented with area rugs. No detail is spared in anticipating the comfort and convenience of our guests. Complete with an en-suite jacuzzi master bath, HDTV's, cd/dvd players, refrigerator, stove/oven, toaster, coffee makers, fishing box gear and gadgets, shot/wine glasses & beer mugs, flatware, washer/dryer, linens, bath, pool and beach towels, beach cooler and fold down travel chairs.
Bahamian artwork is displayed throughout this home complimenting the distinctive character of each room. The sliding glass doors of the dining room opens directly onto the pool deck. Light the torches poolside at night and enjoy a self prepared meal under the evening stars. There's a nearby large grocery store with fresh produce and fruits, specialty items, kosher foods. Seagrapes Shopping Plaza (5 mins. drive) has a wine and liquor store, Papa John's Pizzaria, Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, food and prescription drugs store, spa and many other stores. If you choose not to rent a car, the local bus stops a short 3 minutes walk from the house every 15 minutes or so (except between 11 am and 2 pm when availability is much less) and it can take you into downtown Nassau or to local shops and bring you back for US$1.25 each way.
The hi-tech features of this house keeps you in touch with the world or work via a high speed Netgear N600 wireless router. Bring a laptop. A plain paper color fax, printer, copier, scanner is available. If we haven't thought about something you may need, tell us and we'll do our best to make it happen. We are simply "in your service" and strive to give you the most memorable Bahamas vacation experience ever.
If you are traveling with an infant, nicely stowed in the closet you will find fresh linen/bumpers for the crib, deluxe baby musical swing, deluxe baby stroller, high chair, car seats, and similar necessities. Prices quoted is for up to 4 persons; One time $125 charge for each additional person.
A fireproof combination safe is made available in the house for the safe storage of your valuables. The combination is changed after each guest and only you and the property manager will have the combination and override key.

Why the Owner Chose Nassau
Initially, this house served as our primary residence. We would commute to work together from our beach townhouse past this house each morning and always admired the coastal charm of Fox Hill Creek generally and the lush palms and gardens partly visible above the gated compound. When the property came on the market for sale, we acted quickly, motivated partly by our need for more space for our growing children, and a large yard for our black and chocolate labs to frolic. I always wanted a coastal house with docking space for a family boat and a large pool and patio for entertaining or grilling on lazy days. This house soon became a lovely home for a few years until my wife returned to work in Washington DC and matriculated the children for completion of high school and transition to university. I moved to a smaller beachside property and one day guests visiting my downtown restaurant arrived in town too early to check into their hotel. I made this house available to them to relax until check in time and they loved it so much they asked me to rent it to them for the duration of their stay and with that transaction, my idea for short term rental business was born and I commenced research into avenues for generating clients.

Not only is this house a charming and warm scenic place to stay, but the convenience of its location is an added benefit. Nestled along coastal Eastern Road's historic affluent community, it is an awesome experience to navigate the beautiful Fox Hill Creek and moor a boat at our private dock and walk up a short distance to this house. Laying in the hammock provides a unique place from which to enjoy the local and migratory birds and garden. The pool is large enough to dive in and the deck has a homely feel to it, perfect for enjoying family and friends. We often enjoyed sitting poolside with light music and a glass of wine stargazing at night. Seasoned travellers, we have thought about everything to make your stay at this house enjoyable and memorable. The locally brewed Kalik and Sands beer in the refrigerator were put there for you. The lobster tails in the freezer wer provided to get your grilling experience started. Welcome and enjoy your home away from home!!

I am a forty-four year old native Bahamian, born and raised in Freeport, Grand Bahama, the most northerly of the Bahamian chain of islands. I pursued my B.A. studies in Florida where in undergarduate school I met my Panamanian American wife before moving to Washington DC for graduate then law school where we launched our legal careers upon achieving our J.D. degrees. A former practitioner as Barrister and American trial lawyer, I am a businessman no longer actively practicing law at this time. I live in Nassau, dividing my time consulting and attending our investment properties and business interests and travelling between our homes in Florida, where our two children attend university at our alma mater, and Washington DC/ Maryland where my wife is an adjunct professor and commercial attorney. I enjoy golfing with my guests, taking boat rides or snorkeling trips with them, dining or siting around over a cold beer and talking with them about investing in the Bahamas, the local sights & happenings or wherever the conversation leads.

I should start by stating that I typically am not one to write reviews. However, I had such an incredible experience not only with the property and amenities but also the service provided by Hendrith and his team that I feel compelled to share my experience with anyone considering a vrbo rental in Nassau and from this property owner/manager. The home was immaculate, stocked with essentials, and very convenient to immediately get settled in to. The vehicle worked great and had fuel as promised. Hendrith and his assistant were there, day or night, to answer any questions or give advice for us which was very important because this was my fiancé and my first trip to Nassau. In fact, I got engaged just prior to our stay and Hendrith went the extra mile once I mentioned this that he dropped off an engagement gift for us the next morning. In other words, there is a reason that this home is booked regularly throughout the year. I can guarantee that I will be a repeat customer. We spent some time on Paradise Island prior to our stay and it was nice to experience the water park and tourist oriented resorts but if you want an authentic, Bahamian experience, this is the property for you. I cannot speak as to the other properties that Hendrith offers on vrbo but given the service we received, I'm sure you cannot go wrong. Tremendous value! I hope this review was helpful and I wish you luck on your vacation to the Bahamas!!

Wow is all I can say! Henry and his son BJ were ideal hosts for our five day visit to Nassau! I would be remiss not to mention how LaKeisha took time out of her day to take us for some real good Bahamian Food when we arrived. The Coconut Rum was fantastic and we truly enjoyed swimming in the pool each evening. Now back to Nassau! We were only minutes away from Nassau and the local beach which made everything perfect! Not to mention that Henry has all the amenities anyone coming to the island would need, to include transportation at a really reasonable cost! Let's just say, I think we will become life long friends! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay in your lovely home! :)

Our goal is to offer all the amenities guests would need while in Nassau and make them competitively affordable if not completely free. So we're planning on adding more fishing gear this summer and replacing the current Yamaha scooter with a newer one. Travis certainly seemed to enjoy the scooter. Lakeisha's addition to the team is such an asset. She is simply in your service and goes to great lengths to assure guests' expectations are exceeded. She enjoyed showing you where the locals eat good Bahamian food. BJs summer recess home from college gives him an opportunity to experience the business up close. He enjoys interacting with guests, perfecting the pool and was even mixing cement for the new bedroom addition. Great place for the family with plenty of room and fairly well maintained. Clean and access to a washer/dryer was very helpful. The pool is nice to have if you can't get to the beach. Owner is a pleasure to work with, though he still hasn't given me back my refundable deposit (3 months later). There is virtually no walking access to anything, as the roads do not have sidewalks and no shoulder. It is paramount that you have a vehicle to get around with. However, it is close to town and a grocery store/shopping plaza is mere minutes away (by car). Overall, good experience but probably needed a second car so that my wife/mother-in-law were not stuck at the house while I was scuba diving a couple of days. And in case you are scuba diving, Stuart Cove's is on the exact opposite side of the island and it takes a good 2hrs to get there and back due to traffic.

We had an awesome stay thanks to Hendrith Smith's hospitality! The house is comfortable and beautiful with super amenities. The pool was clean and relaxing, and the gardens restful. We chose to walk or take the local buses (sometimes a taxi), and enjoyed the exercise, the weather, the beaches, the shopping, and food!

What can I say. It was perfect! Especially for a single Mom on a budget. We could have stayed at Atlantis for 4 days or rent a house for 8 days. That was a no-brainer. (you can still purchase an all day pass for Atlantis for $105.00 and they have lockers available.) The house and private pool were great! We went shopping at the local grocery store, another new exp.(Remember everything has to be imported and is double what you pay in the U.S.) But you will save alot of money cooking for yourself, we bar-b-qued most every night. The people we met on the island were wonderful and very polite. Plan on renting a car it makes it much more enjoyable. Taxis are not always available when you want them. There are 2 public accesses to cabbage beach if you go to the farthest one off paradise road (turn left,very tiny sign saying public beach access) there is parking all around, take the sand path and when you stop at the top of the stairs the view is breath taking, Me & my girls went most everyday. I think that by staying in Hendriths rental house we truly experienced what it was like to live on the island versus staying at a resort and just visiting the island. Absolutely wonderful!!! We arrived a bit early, and Hendrith and the cleaning staff were just finishing making sure the house was spotless! It was a great base for us to explore the whole island, and having a full kitchen and BBQ was a good option instead of restaurants every night. The pool was refreshing (we were all in it before we un-packed!) and it became a haven for our winter-weary bones. We will definitely be back, as the location, price and accommodations fit perfectly with our family's needs.

We stayed 4 persons 13 days in Wrinkle Astarit , and it was great. The house was in good condition and one of the good things was the computer ,when 2 teenage boys have to communicat with friend in Denmark . The pool was great , for both adult and children ,and very beatful with lights in it when its dark. A big beatiful garden . Good beds and nice furniture.

This was our first vacation to the Bahamas and it was a great experience. From the ride from the airport and the Seagrapes rental property, there was always something to catch your eye.We did most of our cooking at home but the Brazilian style buffet at Greycliff downtown was worth mentioning. Above all after a day full of activities we came back to the relaxing comfort and luxury of this rental property, take a hot jacuzzi dip and a good shower then sit back and relax watching tv, relaxing by the pool or browsing the net. My kudos to Hendrith Smith for maintaining this decent property. When we come back to Nassau we will sure want to be in this house again
