We truly enjoyed our time in Nassau. The House is spacious, the pool is perfect and the grounds are Beautiful. Our host was extremely accommodating making sure our every whim was granted. He went out of his way to make our trip Wonderful. I would certainly recommend this property. However, this is not Beachfront but it is close by.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Fantastic Vacation Home

Everything was great. It was like a resort without the hustle and bustle and all the people. Wonderful host from the moment we arrived. Having the car was excellent and a must when you are not on a resort and it was great for going around the island and seeing things you would not see when staying at a resort. Car was at the airport full of fuel as promised. Kitchen had all necessary spices and stuff left over from other travelers renting the home. We just needed to arrive and fill the fridge. Lots of space in the home and the sound system was great for listening to music. The Jacuzzi issues noted in previous renter comments was taken care of and we enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Would recommend this villa to anyone looking at having a vacation at Nassau. Took in some of the recommended places to visit which was great. We can't say enough about Hendrith and his team they were awesome. The organizing of our day at Atlantis was all taken care of. Felt very safe with our two young children who immensely enjoyed the pool. Any questions or concerns Hendrith responded promptly and allowed us to have a worry free vacation. Very Private property. Don’t forgot to buy your fresh bag of fish at Montague Park.

Beautiful Island, Great Home and Wonderful Owner

The property and pictures are exactly as described in Hendrith's profile for this property. It is a beautiful property and quite spacious. We traveled with our 3 teenage children and the was lots of room for everyone. When we got to the airport, the vehicle was waiting for us all gassed up and ready to go. Hendrith greeted us upon arrival and gave us quite a bit of information about places to go and see. Hendrith was available at all times by phone or email if we had any questions. You do need a vehicle to travel around the island, but most amenities like groceries are available within a 15 minute drive. This is an island, and most things have to be shipped in, so some items are more expensive then you would pay for them at home. We did not find most things that overpriced. We enjoyed our stay on the island a great deal, and if we do come back to the island, we will definitely be calling Hendrith to book one of his places.

Nassau Vacation

Upon arrival, we found a 1997 Honda Odyssey minivan ready for us at the airport. The car was a necessity for getting to the property and around the island. One of our favorite features was how well it blended in with the island. If we made a wrong turn, we look liked residents and didn't have issues. It was also great for towing the jet ski which is best to put in at Ft. Montaguex or Goodman's (sp) because many boat ramps have been wiped out by hurricanes. I can't stress enough how important it is to have a vehicle. The house is on the Eastern end of the island and located just off of a very busy road. There is also no beach accesss by foot (road too treacherous). Most of the activities are a minimum of a 15-20 minute ride away by car or longer with traffic. Our favorite spot to visit was O'Andros at Da Fish Fry, Indigo and Compass Point restaurant. The house itself is as advertised as far as the layout, pool, beautiful yard etc. The kitchen cookware/utensils do need updating. Could benefit from plastic cups etc for the pool patio area. Would highly recommend bringing a sponge in your suitcase and paper towels etc. or dish towels. We would also recommend that you pick up a bag of ice because you quickly run out with the ice cube trays. A lot of people leave cooking items so you may find olive oil, spices, condiments etc. upon arrival, which is nice. We brought one entire suitcase full of food (pbj, bread, pasta,etc etc), plastic wrap, bags, paper products etc. and after spending $250.00 on not a lot of food one day were happy we did. Milk is about $7 per gallon and OJ is the same. A 1/2 gallon of ice cream will run you $13.00 but still cheaper than the food at the resorts. Bedrooms are nice, property is clean, gear for snorkeling , live vests etc. avail. Need buckets for kids to take to beach. Great beach to East with cove and quiet water (no amenitites). Went to Sheraton one day with pass, GREAT for a day! Jaws Beach great spot (no amenities) on West end of Island. Property had a few items to fix (sliding screen on patio, jacuzzi jets, etc) so hopefully you will find them working. I've stayed at better places in the states on the Gulf for the $ but my family had fun. Please be certain on the number of guests upon booking because no refunds are given if a guest you added on doesn't make the trip. Hendrith does a nice job welcoming you and the beer and fish are a treat. We did have a good time. Thank you for the opportunity

I should start by stating that I typically am not one to write reviews. However, I had such an incredible experience not only with the property and amenities but also the service provided by Hendrith and his team that I feel compelled to share my experience with anyone considering a vrbo rental in Nassau and from this property owner/manager. The home was immaculate, stocked with essentials, and very convenient to immediately get settled in to. The vehicle worked great and had fuel as promised. Hendrith and his assistant were there, day or night, to answer any questions or give advice for us which was very important because this was my fiancé and my first trip to Nassau. In fact, I got engaged just prior to our stay and Hendrith went the extra mile once I mentioned this that he dropped off an engagement gift for us the next morning. In other words, there is a reason that this home is booked regularly throughout the year. I can guarantee that I will be a repeat customer. We spent some time on Paradise Island prior to our stay and it was nice to experience the water park and tourist oriented resorts but if you want an authentic, Bahamian experience, this is the property for you. I cannot speak as to the other properties that Hendrith offers on vrbo but given the service we received, I'm sure you cannot go wrong. Tremendous value! Wow is all I can say! Henry and his son BJ were ideal hosts for our five day visit to Nassau! I would be remiss not to mention how LaKeisha took time out of her day to take us for some real good Bahamian Food when we arrived. The Coconut Rum was fantastic and we truly enjoyed swimming in the pool each evening. Now back to Nassau! We were only minutes away from Nassau and the local beach which made everything perfect! Not to mention that Henry has all the amenities anyone coming to the island would need, to include transportation at a really reasonable cost! Let's just say, I think we will become life long friends! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay in your lovely home! :)

Our goal is to offer all the amenities guests would need while in Nassau and make them competitively affordable if not completely free. So we're planning on adding more fishing gear this summer and replacing the current Yamaha scooter with a newer one. Travis certainly seemed to enjoy the scooter. Lakeisha's addition to the team is such an asset. She is simply in your service and goes to great lengths to assure guests' expectations are exceeded. She enjoyed showing you where the locals eat good Bahamian food. BJs summer recess home from college gives him an opportunity to experience the business up close. He enjoys interacting with guests, perfecting the pool and was even mixing cement for the new bedroom addition. Nice place, close to town, nice owner

Great place for the family with plenty of room and fairly well maintained. Clean and access to a washer/dryer was very helpful. The pool is nice to have if you can't get to the beach. Owner is a pleasure to work with, though he still hasn't given me back my refundable deposit (3 months later). There is virtually no walking access to anything, as the roads do not have sidewalks and no shoulder. It is paramount that you have a vehicle to get around with. However, it is close to town and a grocery store/shopping plaza is mere minutes away (by car). Overall, good experience but probably needed a second car so that my wife/mother-in-law were not stuck at the house while I was scuba diving a couple of days. And in case you are scuba diving, Stuart Cove's is on the exact opposite side of the island and it takes a good 2hrs to get there and back due to traffic.

We had an awesome stay thanks to Hendrith Smith's hospitality! The house is comfortable and beautiful with super amenities. The pool was clean and relaxing, and the gardens restful. We chose to walk or take the local buses (sometimes a taxi), and enjoyed the exercise, the weather, the beaches, the shopping, and food!

What can I say. It was perfect! Especially for a single Mom on a budget. We could have stayed at Atlantis for 4 days or rent a house for 8 days. That was a no-brainer. (you can still purchase an all day pass for Atlantis for $105.00 and they have lockers available.) The house and private pool were great! We went shopping at the local grocery store, another new exp.(Remember everything has to be imported and is double what you pay in the U.S.) But you will save alot of money cooking for yourself, we bar-b-qued most every night. The people we met on the island were wonderful and very polite. Plan on renting a car it makes it much more enjoyable. Taxis are not always available when you want them. There are 2 public accesses to cabbage beach if you go to the farthest one off paradise road (turn left,very tiny sign saying public beach access) there is parking all around, take the sand path and when you stop at the top of the stairs the view is breath taking, Me & my girls went most everyday. I think that by staying in Hendriths rental house we truly experienced what it was like to live on the island versus staying at a resort and just visiting the island. Absolutely wonderful!!! We arrived a bit early, and Hendrith and the cleaning staff were just finishing making sure the house was spotless! It was a great base for us to explore the whole island, and having a full kitchen and BBQ was a good option instead of restaurants every night. The pool was refreshing (we were all in it before we un-packed!) and it became a haven for our winter-weary bones. We will definitely be back, as the location, price and accommodations fit perfectly with our family's needs.

We stayed 4 persons 13 days in Wrinkle Astarit , and it was great. The house was in good condition and one of the good things was the computer ,when 2 teenage boys have to communicat with friend in Denmark . The pool was great , for both adult and children ,and very beatful with lights in it when its dark. A big beatiful garden . Good beds and nice furniture.

This was our first vacation to the Bahamas and it was a great experience. From the ride from the airport and the Seagrapes rental property, there was always something to catch your eye.We did most of our cooking at home but the Brazilian style buffet at Greycliff downtown was worth mentioning. Above all after a day full of activities we came back to the relaxing comfort and luxury of this rental property, take a hot jacuzzi dip and a good shower then sit back and relax watching tv, relaxing by the pool or browsing the net. My kudos to Hendrith Smith for maintaining this decent property. When we come back to Nassau we will sure want to be in this house again

We had a great time staying at this house! I stayed there with my fiance and 2 other couples for 5 nights. We were very comfortable and the property owner was extremely helpful and accomodating. We would take a quick drive to Cabbage Beach each day and then at night we cooked and relaxed outside on the patio by the pool. The property was clean with all the amenities, the yard was well maintained and we had plently of space for the 6 of us. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
