I can't say enough good things about the Maple! Everthing about The Maple is perfect: the central location, the owners, the layout of the apartment, the cleaniless, the price, the check in and check out procedures and the quietness. We had a great time and are telling all our friends to stay at The Maple while in Seattle. There are two caveats: 1. It's a remodeled, older, small (5) unit apartment. There is no elevator. For my husband and I this was no problem; we were on the top floor. Even the ground level units have a few stairs leading up to them. It would take severe physical limitations not to be able to stay on a ground level unit. But I wanted that stated for folks with disabilities. 2. The driveway leading to the parking lot is narrow. This wasn't a problem for us, as we both have small cars. Some fairly large vehicles were parked in back. If you have a large vehicle, you may want to ask the owners about the width of the driveway before reserving. Otherwise, enjoy! Mark and Madison were a pleasure. The units are beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. The remodel work is first rate. The bed was extremely comfortable. My husband (who is a light sleeper) and I slept like babies - our mattress at home is a memory foam, so we're used to a great bed. It's minutes by car from all downtown attractions. It's easy to get to attractions without taking the freeway. The Maple is near a major bus route, if you don't want to drive. I loved Capitol Hill and the eateries. An added bonus is that the apartments are setup so that two couples can share space and still have privacy. There's: a bedroom in the back, a hall, a study off the hall, a bathroom off the hall and a door on either end of the hall (the doors create privacy for both the bedroom in back and the common areas in the front). The per person price with 4 people staying is the best deal you'll get in Seattle. Even with just my husband and I (we were on our honeymoon) the price was still cheaper than most hotels and the accomodations were way better. The Maple is simply AWESOME!

The Maple is an older brick building with 5 completely redone apartments, pleasantly furnished and decorated and immaculately clean. Neighborhood is nice, quiet at night, lots of green around. Loved the free internet service and the European-style washer and dryer. Bed is super comfy, lots of hangers in the closet, kitchen came equipped with paper towels, coffee, sugar, and some staple foods. All of our arrangements and communication were by phone and the internet and owners always responded immediately. Both are friendly and helpful. Building is near two supermarkets, bus lines. If you drive, note that driveway is narrow and next to building. Floors squeak but walls soundproof so stay on second floor if you want no one above you, on first floor if you don't want stairs (except for several from the street level to the first floor). Lots of rules for use which means that the owners are determined to give you a clean and restful experience, but if you are a partier or slob, go elsewhere. We really enjoyed our week's stay, would strongly recommend The Maple, and will stay again when next in Seattle. Madison and Marc really know what's important in running vacation apartments!

We had the best time at The Maple. This place is so lovely. The decor and finishing touches are well above the standard of most rentals. And, clean as a whistle! The neighbothood is wonderful, loaded with great restaurants, parks and shopping. Easily navigable by bus to downtown Seattle.

The Maple apartments are spacious, cozy and very clean. The location is perfect, a short walk to all the best restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping... that Capitol Hill has to offer. Parking is available if you do have a car, which is a major major perk! Parking on Capitol Hill can be a real pain. I used to live in Seattle and now live in New York, so this was the perfect way to feel as if for a hot second... I live back on the hill and have my very own apartment, a great alternative to staying in a busy/fussy hotel downtown. The Maple will be my number one choice of places to stay when visiting Seattle. All around perfect!!!

I was in Seattle for a wedding recently and stayed at The Maple. The apartment made me feel like I was at home, only better. I currently live in a one bedroom apt. and this place is HUGE! I hate to admit it, but I slept better at the Maple than I do at home. Super cozy beds and surprisingly quiet for being so close to downtown. I absolutely loved the location, as I didn't have a vehicle while I was in town. You can tell that the people who run the building really take pride in it. I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend it to all!

This was an adorable condo - great charm (crystal doorknobs, arched doorways), wood floors, lots of natural light. It was in a fantastic location that was the perfect jumping-off point for all of our Seattle adventures. Obviously clean and well-maintained. We had a "full-size" rental and were able to navigate the driveway (tip: flip in your side mirrors). My word of caution: it may not be the best choice for families with young children, or make sure you get the top floor. We have a toddler that was often woken up by the creaky old floors and doors above. We adults also had trouble sleeping here - with no A/C, the window had to be open all night and the street noise, neighbors/other guests coming and going made for restless nights.

We had a great Labor Day weekend at The Maple! We parked the car and didn't need it for the whole weekend. The apartment was the perfect size with a super comfortable couch and bed. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in keeping it clean and well stocked. We really appreciated the fans in the bedroom and living room which kept the apt cool nice and cool even on the warmest day of the summer...FYI, Seattle is as mild as it claims - the high was only 85 and then a perfect 65 at night :) We will definitely return!

This place is a gem! In town for sight-seeing, this was the perfect location. The apartment is very comfortable and welcoming- easy to make yourself at home.Loved the little room with the desk for our computer use. Everything exceeded expectations. It is clearly evident that the hosts take pride in their property. Full of natural light, it is a delightful home to wake up to and so very appreciated to come back to after a busy day.Just go slowly down the driveway and you are fine! Having free access to a washer and dryer was fantastic. We hope to return.

We have stayed at The Maple three times when visiting our kids in Seattle. Not only is it a great value, it has great location. Light rail from the airport is $2.50, plus short taxi ride from downtown. Also, there's off-street parking if you have a car. The condo decor is lovely and the owner is exceeding helpful. We highly recommend The Maple and hope to stay at there the next time we are in Seattle.

We spent 2 nights at the Maple and loved it!! The place was VERY clean, spacious and much much more than we expected! The area was great, many little shops/coffee shops. We parked our car and never moved it-walked everywhere. Would love to return for another stay at the Maple and will recommend to anyone traveling to Seattle. The washer and dryer was so helpful. Thank you Marc and Maddison for such a great apartment.

We loved our stay at the Maple! It was very clean and well-kept! We loved the convenience of having a washing machine and dryer at our disposal! It's a convenient location, a few blocks from a grocery store and restaurants. The driveway was treacherous for our full-size car, but it was well worth having a reserved stall. We will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle!

I stay at the Maple every time I visit Seattle. I love the neighborhood and the location is perfect. The apartments are beautiful and very clean. It feels like home, as if it's my very own apartment in Seattle, and I love not having to worry about putting up the "privacy please" sign on the door handle. I've told several friends about the Maple, and they have all given me my propers for the recommendation. In my opinion, it beats the heck out of staying in a stuffy hotel room. Cook your own food, entertain friends, and walk the Capitol Hill neighborhood, which has awesome shopping, coffee joints, restaurants, and nightlife. The owner has always treated me great and actually remembered me the second time I stayed! I definitely recommend the Maple!!

I can't say how impressed I am at this vacation rental. It basically is the best part of a home and a hotel. The apartment was super clean, fully stocked, and very BIG! I stayed there with my wife and it's central location right in the heart of the city was perfect for us. We stayed in the W hotel only a few weeks before, and We both agreed that even if we could ever get the same price on a room at any nice hotel--which as far as I know is impossible!--we wouldn't want to! Madison was also vert helpful with getting us setup. It couldn't have been easier! I recommend this vacation rental to everyone I know.

What an amazing place to stay in Seattle. Beauty and comfort combined with a great location. We've stayed in many vacation rentals on Capitol Hill and here are some of the things unique to The Maple that we appreciated most: full cable including all of the movie and sports channels, multiple super speedy wi-fi connections, a 'neighborhood guide' with a list of tasty restaurants, coffee shops etc making it easy to navigate your way through Capitol Hill, and the bedrooms are back off the street so it's super quiet at night and we slept like babies. The apartments are spacious, up to date, very well maintained and extremely clean. We will definitely be back!

My stay was excellent in every way. The unit was beautiful, clean, comfortable, accurately described/photographed, well managed and in an ideal location for easy access to downtown and the pier. Honestly, it felt more like a true apartment rather than a nightly rental, but with all the wonderful perks of a rental. When I had questions/requests, the owners were incredibly accomodating and helpful. I would and do recommend this to everyone I know visiting Seattle.

Looking for an ideal location offering an abundance of low-key charm and an unbeatable price? You're not likely to find better than 'The Maple' situated in one of Seattle's most appealing neighborhoods on Capital Hill. The lively Broadway scene, Pike-Pine Corridor's hustle and bustle, and 15th Avenue's quaint commercial district are only a few minutes away by foot where you'll find an abundance of restaurants, pubs, and shopping. Weather permitting, a stroll downtown won't take you more than 20 or 30 minutes and for outdoor lounging you have the new Cal Anderson Park only a few blocks South, (one of Seattle's best new additions) and the lovely hillside Volunteer Park just a few blocks North. With a simple, understated elegance, 'The Maple' doesn't feel anything like a hotel room, more of a spacious suite, and minutes upon arriving, we feel settled and at home with amenities like wifi, cable and a full kitchen at our disposal. Coming here always enhances our little getaways, and though not fancy, feels like a little bit of well-deserved luxury. Once you've tried 'The Maple', you won't think of staying anywhere else!

My college room mate of 40+ years and I stayed at the Maple and had a fantastic time. It was just 3 blocks to 15th which had great shops, restaurants and even a Safeway. We had a delicious breakfast at the Coastal Kitchen. We were 2 blocks from Broadway where we had a fun visiting shops. The apartment was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and welcoming as we arrived late at night. We were just 2 blocks from a bus that took us downtown to the Public Market and shopping - so easy and convenient. We had a great time and plan to return again soon. Patty & Kathy

Better than advertised. The location was great. It was really easy to get everywhere in downtown from the rental. The decor was amazing. Everything is very clean and it feels like a home, not a hotel. Very easy to relax in. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. I will always stay there whenever I go to Seattle, and I recommend it to all my friends.

We stayed at the Maple apartment in June 2008. It was actually better than it appeared in the advertisement. Tastefully decorated, spacious, very comfortable, and what a fantastic location/neighbourhood. I will definately stay here again on my next visit to Seattle. Great value. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Apt E for 2 nights. It was wonderful. The unit was extremely clean and nicely furnished. It is very close to shopping, restaurants and parks all within walking distance. We stayed with our toddler and the unit was very child friendly (after we moved all small items out of his reach of course). We were in Seattle to visit the zoo which is an easy 15 minute drive from the apartment. We will definitely stay here again.
