This fully functional home includes a kitchen were you will find everything you need from granite counter tops, appliances, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cookware and place setting for six.

More importantly, this little haven will make you privy to the spectacular view overlooking Ocean Beach, Mission Bay, and the stricking La Jolla Hills all from your private 1000 square foot rooftop deck. Talk about majestic sunsets, fire up the barbecue while taking in the views as your family and/or friends relax in the comfortable patio furniture. What better place to enjoy a quiet early morning sunrise before the natives become restless?

Escape the chaotic beach-going crowds of Mission or Pacific Beach and relax at our very own local beach just a short five minute walk away. Although if you are looking for adventure this home is only minutes from San Diego’s renowned Gas Lamp District. This hot spot is known for its elegant and casual restaurants and hosts some of the best entertainment San Diego has to offer. Perhaps you might want to take in a Padres baseball game at the new downtown stadium, visit Balboa Park to catch a play at the Old Globe or see the latest art collection at one of the park’s many museums. You could even take a drive to the Cabrillo National Monument to check the Light House at the tip of O.B.’s peninsula, or take a stroll and have a cappuccino at the end of the ever-quaint Ocean Beach pier.

After taking in the endless diversions that make San Diego so exciting, you may simply want to head to the beach for a day of sun-licked frolicking. Don’t forget to take the boogie boards, sun umbrella, cooler and towels (all provided) to maximize your beach experience - time. PS- don’t forget to use sun block, of course!

  • Deck/Patio: 1000 sqft of space looking over OB. Comfortable and clean tables, chairs and umbrellas for shade. Be careful on this deck and stairs with all children! It is the entire roof top of the home with an up to code railing all the way around. We have children and we just want people to be careful, please.

  • Telephone: Local call are free. You will need a calling card for all long distance calls.
  • WiFi (Wireless Internet): Just open your lap top and you'll feel right at work or home!

  • There is a desk and chair in the queen bedroom for you to conduct some business or for the little ones to color, read or do some crafts!
• Suitability
  • Pet Friendly: This is a good yard for no more than 2 small dogs up to 25 lbs each. There is a small grass yard with a 6 foot fence, and seating to hang with the pooches!!! You can leave the front door open and the dogs will be contained in the yard area, this is great for those who have wondering dogs :)
  • Kid Friendly: This is a fun place for adults, animals and children. We have put cord covers on all electric cords in the home. The gates have high latches, not reachable for small children. This home is very clean and has plenty of room for 5 - 6 people on the living room couch. WARNING: Kids must be watched outside the home. There is a second story deck which is the entire roof top with an up to code railing all the way around. It could still potentially be very dangerous to those little ones that like to climb or that may not be very good on stairs yet. Please never leave the little ones alone for any reason. If you would like to bring a childrens stair saftey gate it does fit in the space. We do not provide this and the owners of The OB Getaway and any other partners are not responsible for any injuries around or on the property at any time, for any reason.
  • Smoking Allowed: There is a huge deck to enjoy the view and a smoke... We ask that you smoke outside ONLY. Throw away all butts properly. We are a small beach communtiy and do not care for butts on our beaches...Thank you!
