- Minimum stay:2-4 nights

GREAT RATES FOR THE SUMMER!
Nice 3B home with a TERRIFIC setting in the woods and surrounded by nature, but still only 2 1/2 miles from the slopes, one mile from the Country Club and one mile from Monte Verde lake. Take a look at the VIDEO I have now added to the VRBO listing.
MAKE SURE AND CHECK OUT MY OTHER PROPERTY - MOUNTAIN VIEW CONDO(VRBO #46963). If both of my properties are already booked, still check with me because I make reservations for over 70 properties in Angel Fire and I can probably help you find something that fits your needs.
The Cabin is nestled in the woods and surrounded by nature, but still close to everything in Angel Fire and easily accessible year-round. HIGH SPEED INTERNET is now available at the Cabin in the Woods. See my personal website for details. New Queen mattresses and box springs in the the downstairs guest bedroom and master bedroom and also new living room furniture (there is no longer a hide-a-bed sofa in the living room).
There is a covered porch across the entire front of the house, which is a great place to sit and enjoy the cool and refreshing mountain air. The home is located one mile from the golf clubhouse, one mile from the lake and 2 1/2 miles from the ski slopes or grocery store. This New Mexico vacation rental is close to everything, but situated in the woods, where you feel like you have your own private place on the mountain.
This three bedroom, two bath house that has beds for 12, but please limit your group to 10. The accommodations are great for two families, because there are separate bedrooms for both couples and then the kids can share the bunk bed room, which sleeps six. Visit my personal website (link below) for more details on the sleeping arrangements.
On the downstairs level, you will find the living area (new furniture in July 2010), kitchen, dining area, two bedrooms, and a full bath. In the living room, there is a sofa (no longer a hide-a-bed sofa), loveseat, leather chair and a wood-burning fireplace. The entertainment center includes a 32 inch TV with satellite, DVD, and stereo system. A variety of DVD movies (over 30) are provided, but please feel free to bring your own. The kitchen is furnished with everything you will need and is open to the dining area that seats eight at the table, with a set of TV trays, also available for additional guests. There is also a gas BBQ grill outside if you would like to cook up some hamburgers or steaks.
The front bedroom has a twin/twin bunk bed and a full/full bunk bed, that will sleep a total of six. In addition, there is a four drawer chest, a 20 inch TV with satellite and a Playstation 2 game system. There are about eight PS2 games provided (Guitar Hero recently added), but you may want to rent or bring your own. The rear bedroom, which has great views of the outdoors, has a queen bed (new mattress and box springs in July 2011), dresser and a 20 inch TV with satellite. Also downstairs is a bathroom and a full size washer and dryer.
The master suite is located privately upstairs and is furnished with a queen bed (new mattress and box spring in July 2011), armoire, dresser with mirror, 20 inch TV with satellite, DVD player and a futon that sleeps two, just in case the younger kids would rather stay in the same room with mom and dad. Also upstairs is a full bath, large walk-in closet and a sliding glass door that leads to a private balcony off of the master suite.

We enjoyed our stay in Angel Fire this summer. The cabin in the woods was somewhat secluded and gave us a nice central place to stay while touring Taos, Red River and Angel Fire. Overall the value was good...Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

This cabin felt like home! ( Would LOVE to have it for my home!) It is spacious, well kept and appointed and CLEAN!! There was everything one needs to enjoy their stay in the cabin, tv, music, books, full kitchen, grill etc. The setting is perfect. It is on a quiet cul de sac with a wonderful front porch from which one may view the wild life. I saw rabbits, elk, ground squirrels and a great variety of birds. The owner was quite helpful in making sure I had everything I needed before I got to Angle Fire and was great in answering my many questions. It has been months since I have been there, I still find myself daydreaming and reminiscing about that place! Make sure you go to the Vietnam Vets War Memorial. It is a solemn yet beautiful place of honor for our vets. There are tons of trails to hike. I am a 60yo overweight out of shape lowlander and even I found trails I could handle! The BEST restaurant I found in eastern New Mexico is in Cimarron. It is on the main drag thru town and is called Heck's Hungry Traveler. WONDERFUL!!! The golf course nearby is both beautiful and affordable. I just can't find ANY down side to this cabin or to the area it is set in! I WILL be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at Cabin in the Woods was great! We enjoyed everything and certainly enjoyed the deer every morning & evening as they passed through the yard. The grandchildren loved watching them also. The cabin & amenities made it feel like home. We had a nice snow the first 2 days of our stay & the kids enjoyed the slide down the hill out back (so did the adults). Our next trip to Angel Fire will definately include a stay at Cabin in the Woods.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for taking the time to comment on your stay in the Cabin in the Woods. It sounds like you probably found the sleds that are in the closet by the front door. I try to provide everything you would expect in your own home and it is very satisfying to read your statement that "the cabin and amenities made it feel like home". Please do keep my properties (Cabin in the Woods and Mountain View Condo - VRBO #46963) in mind the next time you visit Angel Fire.

We loved our stay at your cabin. Definitely coming back! Thank you for the awesome rate and hopefully next time we go we will be able to stay longer than 2 nights. Everything we needed was in the cabin and we left it as clean as we found it. We had a hard time finding it the first night because we got there about 9pm, but I was really satisfied with the way prudential set it up for after hours. Like I said enjoyable vacation, beautiful cabin, and an awesome time. Thank youRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family and I stayed at the Cabin in the Woods for Thanksgiving of 2011. I have to say this was one of the best Thanksgivings we've had. We have two son's agees 17 & 21 and they loved it. The hiking was great. The pictures represented the property perfectly. It was very clean and well kept. It had everything we needed. Booking the property was simple and everyone was very friendly. The only advice I would give is to call the day you are scheduled to arrive to make sure they have the key ready to be picked up. I would definetly reccomend this to anyone. I know that we are definetly going back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We just returned from a stay at Cabin in the Woods, and truly loved our time there! It is comfortable, bright, and airy, not too far from town, yet snuggled back in the woods on a quiet cul-de-sac. Clean and well-equipped, too. The open layout makes it much larger than it actually is, and everything was in great working order. Saw many a mule deer roaming behind the house, and the trees are spectacular this time of year!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope you will visit again sometime. Thanks for taking the time to submit a review for the Cabin in the Woods!

Our stay at Cabin in the Woods was wonderful! The cool weather was a perfect escape from the Texas heat... we had one afternoon shower, and it was just delightful sitting on the front porch and enjoying the rain. The cabin is spacious, and the kitchen is well-stocked with appliances/pots/pans. We decided against going out to dinner and cooked two nights just so we could enjoy the beautiful evening. On our last morning, we had a back-yard visitor. I almost dropped my coffee cup scrambling to get the camera to take pictures of the bear that came into the yard!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
