My husband and I were seeking a cottage tucked away from everything. We found it with this rental. Everything was there that we needed, and more. The furnishings were comfortable and cozy. Not anything was left out, from beach chair, to beach towels, to outdoor shower! And fresh eggs right next door in the chicken coop! All the beaches were easy access from our starting point, and we rode all over the island. Thank you Web, for your restaurant recommendations also.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

My husband and I had a great week in Nantucket renting Web and Mona's charming cottage. The cottage is comfortable, cozy, clean, and decorated adorably. It's the perfect size for a couple on vacation, and it's stocked with all the necessities including toiletries and kitchen accessories. The location of the cottage was also perfect for us. It was close enough to town that it was easy to get to the nice restaurants and shopping, but also far enough away that it felt like we were in the country. It's also fairly close to the Stop & Shop, which was great for stocking up on groceries. Web was a good resource of information about restaurants and beaches. He even brought us fresh eggs for breakfast one morning from his chickens. Don't worry, the chickens won't wake you up in the morning because there are only hens and no roosters. We couldn't get a reservation on the car ferry, so we rented a Jeep Wrangler on the island. It's easy to bike to the nearby beaches, but we were glad to have a car to check out other beaches and parts of the island, and it was nice to be able to pack a cooler for the day at the beach. In short, I high recommend renting this cottage to any couple looking for a relaxing and fun week in Nantucket.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Mona and Web...We are so happy to have found our new spot on Nantucket thanks to one of our friends. We truly enjoy this spot, your hospitality and style, to say nothing of the comfort of your cottage! Thanks for the posies, the jelly and your visits with and without Sadie....what a dog. We look forward to being here again...with a little more sun and better swimming weather...but there can't be a better welcome. Thanks so much.Did you find this review helpful? Web and Mona's cottage was exactly what we were looking for! Perfect size for the two of us! Could accommodate a small family, easily. Probably better for older children. Teenagers, as there is a loft bedroom accessible via an open stairway. Clean and comfy! The bed was the most comfortable! Bedding was clean and fresh. Plenty of bath towels, plus beach towels provided! Leave yours at home! The kitchen is perfect size, with full size fridge. There are dishes, pots and pans, all the utensils needed for preparing the perfect meal! There is a deck off the living area where we ate breakfast and dinner, also, table linens for the outdoor table. Web gave us lobster boiling instruction, as well as direction to a fresh seafood shop where we purchased our lobsters and fresh flounder for anothe meal. He also, provided cooking instruction for the flounder! SO TASTY! Thank you, Web! Not too far from town... I recommend a jeep for getting around and for access to some remote beaches. Or bikes are available. There are trails everywhere! Web gave great restaurant advice. He suggested The Company of the Cauldron. Reservations are needed. Ask for the secret garden table. Private, and a perfect romantic setting! They have a set menu, changing nightly... Look them up on the web to choose the menu/night you wish to reserve. Delicious! Reserve a sail on the Endeavor! Take a bottle of wine to enjoy on board! Visit the lighthouses. Drive onto the Great Point Beach area and walk to the Great Point Lighthouse! Two miles there and back! But worth it! Walk along the surf, much easier than walking all that way on the soft sand! Take a trip to the Cisco Brewery... A distillery, and a winery are in the same location! Great wines!! We had a fabulous experience on the island and the cottage was icing on the cake! Sadie even met us upon arrival! (Web and Mona's beautiful dog!) I'm certain I left something out! I will recommend this cottage to anyone asking and we'll definitely be back! Thank you to Web and Mona for the wonderful hospitality! Sincerely, Ronni & JamieRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
