Visit our Zen oasis and wake up to glowing mountain vistas. Our rental is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom single family home located one mile south of downtown Palm Springs in the exclusive Mesa neighborhood (know as the wind-free zone and a GREAT walking neighborhood).
Zen modern-style with large salt water pool and built-in spa on 1/4-acre completely walled lot. Two sets of French doors open to a large sunning patio with lounge chairs and outdoor dining set. Two queen beds located on either end of the house for privacy.
Amenities include: Level in and out open floorplan, complete remodel (more like rebuilt down to the studs), mountain views, stainless steel professional kitchen, high-def LCD TV, stone, ceramic and glass mosaic tiled bathrooms, finished concrete countertops, gas grill, fountains, garage, wireless internet. Walk to miles and miles of hiking trails, Moorten Botanical Garden and the Indian Canyons. 2 bicycles for your pleasure.

Pete and I have both grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been coming down to Palm Springs for the past 15 years. What brought us to the desert is the nearly guaranteed sunshine, modern architecture, relative peace from the bustle of a large urban center, and the great hiking trails and mountain vistas. We have seen Palm Springs evolve with a new "hipper" scene including restaurants, cultural events (film festivals, art exhibits, etc.), and a variety of healthy lifestyle options, while still maintaining it's small town charm. At "zen house" we try to capture all of the above with simple, stylish, artful design.

Your detailed directions were easy to follow and the fundamentals were all offered during our visit. “Zen” indeed! We were actually inspired to view listed properties while in the desert and would love at some point to pick your brains about the “science” behind a Palm Springs second home/rental. Perhaps we can do this at some point… Nevertheless, thank you for a relaxing summer vacation with the people we love, uninterrupted! Kudos to your landscaping/pool staff, too, we never saw them! Please think of us in the future, especially if you have an odd timeslot which cannot be filled; we are a short hour-ish away and would love to come back!!!! Warmly, Steven and Kelli K.

We absolutely loved our time in your house in Palm Springs...the fact is that we got exactly what we wanted from the house, the layout is superb, décor great, pool perfect / secluded, the location perfect (very close to everything yet far enough away to be quiet) and of course the landlords approach was relaxed and helpful (all too often the home owner can be very strict with a huge list of ‘Do Not’s’). Don’t be surprised if we’re back and we will be passing on the details to friends. Thanks a million Graeme

We had a great time here. Our children loved the pool. We enjoyed the tasteful ambiance. The house is fully equipped with everything one could need. The Patio is an oasis.. A great place to relax. Everything is very well organized. The owners are very friendly and obliging. We will defenitely come back.

We are two "seniors" from MN. We found the owners to be very, very accommodating and easy to contact. The house location was excellent, near downtown PS and the Smoke Tree shopping area and easy access to 111. We early established a 3 mile loop for our morning walk through pleasant areas. The Indian Canyons are just up the road and a good place to walk. We bought a season pass to the Living Desert Museum which allows early entry before the crowds for walking and viewing. Used it 6 times and gets grandkids or anybody else in at 1/2 price with you. We highly recommend it. Visited Temecula wineries and Joshua Tree NP, both , again recommended. Kitchen appliances are good and we made very good use of he gas grill, just like mine back home. The house is close to the mountains so sunset is a little early, but by 5PM after all day blue skies, who cares. Finally, we just learned the house was already rented for next March, that's the breaks.

We loved our recent stay at this spectacular home so much that we have booked again for next year. The home has a relaxed and comfortable feel to it, and the private oasis out back with pool, spa, beautifully landscaped gardens and view of the mountains is breathtaking. It is spotlessly clean and is close, but not to close, to all amenities. The owners thought of everything in this newly renovated home, and the bonus is they are great to work with and always available for any quesitons that you may have. If you are looking for a special place to stay in Palm Springs - look no further - you will not be disappointed.

The destination for the best killer vacation getaway ever! It was a completely relaxing and soothing stay. From gazing up at the lush palm trees, mountain scape, and blue skies while floating in the dreamy pool to enjoying the starry sky and romantic lit landscape at night, this is the perfect place to unwind and meditate on simply having fun. Everything as been thoughtfully taken care of for you...the ease of working with the owners, the impeccable modern and stylish property and amenities - make it the absolute vacation experience! Mid-century paradise - awesome! We will be returning as much as we can.
