Wow! This is our second time at this house. It was so wonderful the first time, we HAD to go back. LOVE the owners, and would highly recommend this place for a nice getaway. Great area, serene pool, calming water features, fantastic price for all that you get, and pet-friendly!! What more could you ask for?? We will come back again!! Loved it, loved it, loved it!!

We stayed in the "Zen House" in early July 2011 after spending a full week in Las Vegas. Needless to say we needed somewhere to unwind and just hang out after running for a solid week. This house was the perfect way to end our vacation - it had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. It's in a quiet area of Palm Springs but still close enough to everything we needed. The house is clean & comfortable and was the perfect size for us and another couple. We spent the bulk of our time in the pool as Palm springs can be quite warm in July and when not in the pool the A/C in the house was a life saver! The back yard is amazing - so peacefull and well maintained. the owners were very helpful leading up to our stay and made themselves available during our stay. The exchange of fees and depostis was very quick and problem free. they offered many suggesitons on how to spend time in Palm Springs (almost oo many so now we have to come back!) I would reccomend this hose to anybody heading to Palm Springs and if you're going make sure you check out the tramway (the view is amazing and it's a great chance to get away from the heat!) the outdoor market on Thursday night and my new favorite restaurant Las Casuelas Quinta (best Mexican ever!) Thanks again for the hospitality - we'll be back!

My husband and I drove from Washington to PS with our German Shepherd and spent two wonderful weeks at this great house. Loved the pool and spa, yard is completely private and walled, great for the dog. Decor was perfert for vacation home, not overdone but very comfortable. We instantly felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Sean and Peter were great, answering every question we had and suggesting some wonderful resturants. Would book for next year same time, but already booked. Would highly recommend! Neighborhood is peaceful walking and hit Koffi every am with the dog. I miss PS already and have been home a day. Thank you guys for sharing such a "Zenful" place.

Top Five Reasons to Stay Here: 1. Everything in this house is new and pristine. 2. This is a comfortable layout and the kitchen is a dream if you are a cook. 3. The outdoor zen pool area is calm and serene - your stress just floats away. 4. Where else can you start your day taking a walk in Indian Canyons? Breathtaking. 5. The owners are wonderful and responsive. You cannot be in better hands.

We were expecting this house to be fabulous based on previous reviews but it exceeded our (very high) expectations. EVERYTHING you need is there - and more. One little example - in other houses we've rented there are never any staples in the kitchen so you have to go out and buy things like salt & pepper and jam and mayo etc. Here we were delighted to find all the staples plus coffee, tea, bottled water, etc. etc. etc. We were considering buying a house in Palm Springs but now we're just going to stay here!

We loved staying in this house and plan to rent it again in the future. It's decorated in such a sophisticated way without feeling overly "done." We were really able to relax here and can't say enough good things about this property. We've rented a lot of vacation homes and this one was the best by a mile.

Wow, this place was exceptional! It is completely remodeled and the owners had everything you could think of. They were very personable and reachable with instructions and information. The house was clean, quiet, and close to town. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful and well-maintained. From the full kitchen with everything you need, to the monogrammed ZEN towels, these owners were very thoughtful with amenities. My husband and I already miss the comfy pool chairs and the bubbling water fountains. Relaxing and very affordable...we can't wait to go back.

Fabulous home. Maintained in immaculate condition with all of the required amenities for a wonderful respite. Close to town but away form the bustle. It was a wonderful place for our family. The pool and the surrounding grounds are a welcome break from what was a very warm weekend and the afternoon shadows as the sun was setting made the area perfect for cocktails and dinner. Many thanks!

The house is a modern home with all the things you can wish for during your vacation. A lovely pool with toys for your kids and lounge chairs to read lots of books on, the bikes for a small trip to downtown Palm Springs, a kitchen with all the apps you wish for and for us Europeans always a decadent luxury: a fridge that makes ice cubes! However what makes the house really unique is its owners that warmed us up to the house and even gave tips for the rest of our trip in the US. We certainly recommend this house to any traveler going to Palm Springs. To stress this even more: we have taken an option for next years vacation...

Peter and Sean:Thank you for welcoming us into your home. As Steven shared, the heat and home were heavenly! Your detailed directions were easy to follow and the fundamentals were all offered during our visit. “Zen” indeed! We were actually inspired to view listed properties while in the desert and would love at some point to pick your brains about the “science” behind a Palm Springs second home/rental. Perhaps we can do this at some point… Nevertheless, thank you for a relaxing summer vacation with the people we love, uninterrupted! Kudos to your landscaping/pool staff, too, we never saw them! Please think of us in the future, especially if you have an odd timeslot which cannot be filled; we are a short hour-ish away and would love to come back!!!!Warmly,Steven and Kelli K.

We absolutely loved our time in your house in Palm Springs...the fact is that we got exactly what we wanted from the house, the layout is superb, décor great, pool perfect / secluded, the location perfect (very close to everything yet far enough away to be quiet) and of course the landlords approach was relaxed and helpful (all too often the home owner can be very strict with a huge list of ‘Do Not’s’). Don’t be surprised if we’re back and we will be passing on the details to friends. Thanks a million Graeme

We are two "seniors" from MN. We found the owners to be very, very accommodating and easy to contact. The house location was excellent, near downtown PS and the Smoke Tree shopping area and easy access to 111. We early established a 3 mile loop for our morning walk through pleasant areas. The Indian Canyons are just up the road and a good place to walk. We bought a season pass to the Living Desert Museum which allows early entry before the crowds for walking and viewing. Used it 6 times and gets grandkids or anybody else in at 1/2 price with you. We highly recommend it. Visited Temecula wineries and Joshua Tree NP, both , again recommended. Kitchen appliances are good and we made very good use of he gas grill, just like mine back home. The house is close to the mountains so sunset is a little early, but by 5PM after all day blue skies, who cares. Finally, we just learned the house was already rented for next March, that's the breaks.

We loved our recent stay at this spectacular home so much that we have booked again for next year. The home has a relaxed and comfortable feel to it, and the private oasis out back with pool, spa, beautifully landscaped gardens and view of the mountains is breathtaking. It is spotlessly clean and is close, but not to close, to all amenities. The owners thought of everything in this newly renovated home, and the bonus is they are great to work with and always available for any quesitons that you may have. If you are looking for a special place to stay in Palm Springs - look no further - you will not be disappointed.

This was my third stay at Zen House in Palm Springs. Beautiful modern interior, spotlessly clean. Large backyard with many attractive plants, a great view of the mountains, and lots of birds to watch. The pool is perfect; lots of fun on a hot summer day, retreating to the shade of a large umbrella and a comfortable lounger. The house has a state of the art kitchen, comfortable beds and a huge refrigerator. I never left the place, spent three happy days lazing in the pool and watching movies on the flat screen TV. Luxury! I hope to be back again.

This home should be featured in Architectural Digest. Our four day stay here was absolutely amazing. Inside and out, floor to ceiling, this place had everything we could ever want to make our vacation easy, relaxing, and worry-free. Loved all the amenities, modern decor, chrome accents, stereo and cd collection, comfortable bed, cleanliness, high-speed internet access, and most of all, gorgeous pool. Loved the kitchen w/ stainless steel appliances. There is no doubt that we would like to stay here again. We would recommend family and friends to stay here as well. What a delightful treat this was. THANK YOU!

I saw this house before the renovation and I was amazed to hear that the owners were going to make it available for rental because it's so nice. Then again, I could tell that's just the kind of people they are. I'm certainly glad they did. The place was perfectly clean and well equipped with the best of everything. The books, music selection and huge binder of local options and reviews shows how much the visitors' comfort and experience were taken into account. I rarely stay in hotels on vacation and have rented places in several states and countries. This was hands-down the best value, the most "considered" of all the places I've stayed. The location is key because unlike many places in PS, there's no wind. The view of the mountain is spectacular and creates a sense of comfort that no fence can. It's close to the airport and downtown so bikes and taxis become more reasonable options for traveling around. the design of everything from the appliances to the back yard was thoroughly thought through. It had everything we needed. The placement of the rooms, doorways and outdoor furniture creates a flow through the entire space and a variety of options and angles. there's nothing like being on vacation, especially in Palm Springs, and having different places to sit and hang out from morning to noon, through afternoon, evening and night. I didn't want to leave and was already planning my next visit. It's clean, serene, well organized, and has an elegance that speaks of the care that was put into creating it. I truly appreciated the opportunity to be there.

This immaculate home is spectacular with its modern aesthetic and serene simplicity. The furnishings were stylish and very high quality (no kitschy, weary furniture billed as "antiques"). Bedding and towels were spa-quality. We prefer to cook for ourselves and we were delighted that the kitchen (although small) had absolutely everything we needed. Such a rarity! The pool was gorgeous and we loved the comfy lounge chairs. During the evenings we were drawn to the fire pit like moths. We brought our two dogs and it was perfect because of the easy care floors -- no worries about muddy paw prints tracked through the house. Our hosts thought of everything including a warm welcome note, maps, a booklet of restaurant menus, local recommendations, washer/dryer, bicycles for around town, and all the privacy we wanted. This was the loveliest places we have ever stayed and we intend to return over and over again.

We had a wonderful time! The house is gorgeous and has inspired us to start looking. We really admire your choices. I can't think of anything more we needed or wanted. The spa was great and we enjoyed simply relaxing with our daughter. Predictably she loved the pool and had fun picking a couple lemons. BTW - it was so nice to have such a solidly functional kitchen. Sharp knives and all! We typically don't find that.

We loved staying at this house! It's perfect for relaxing, napping and hanging out by the pool. We were traveling with a small child, so we spent lots of time at home and cooked many meals in the well-appointed kitchen. The house is very clean, simple, and set up for relaxation. We had everything we needed. And it's very close to downtown Palm Springs, which has lots of restaurants & places to shop. The Living Desert and Joshua Tree are both nearby and are great places to visit with children -- and we were always glad to come back to the house to rest from our adventures. The owners are friendly and accessible and strive to make everything comfortable and flawless. We hope to return next year.

The house was wonderful! We really felt that it was the best house we have ever rented - the house in the south of France may be an exception but it is hard to compare to 14th century farm house. It truly had everything we needed as far as comfort and was beautiful as well. We were crazy about the way you have decorated it and the concrete floors. We took lots of photos as we are planning a remodel of our home here in San Carlos and you gave us some great ideas. Marnie (masseuse) was also wonderful, we highly recommend her to you and your future guests. We are already talking about coming back. We barely left the house and both feel this was an incredibly relaxing vacation. Thank you so much for everything. Anyway, thanks again for having such a wonderful and restful space!! Oh and the dogs were crazy about it too!

My husband and I just stayed at this property and we thought it was a lovely home, beautifully appointed and well-run. The few bumps we encountered were well-handled by the owners. The house is perfect for a couple who want some space or a family that need a comfortable home for a vacation. The location is near enough to town without being in the thick of it. You certainly need a car to do anything, however.

Really enjoyed our week at the "Zen House". Our trip was centered around the bicycle "Tour de Palm Springs" and this place fit the bill for comfort, convenience and proximity to downtown (and ride starting point). "Indian Canyons" (with all the hiking possibilities) were only a mile or two up the road as well. Nicely equpped kitchen was put to good use. Pool and spa were a real plus for relaxing and enjoying the abundant sunshine in the private back-yard. Owners were thoughtful and helpful. Would book again in the event of a return.

The simplicity of this place focuses attention on the glorious setting. Sunlight spotlighting the mountains over the crystal pool creates a spiritual experience every morning accompanied by the sounds of fountain music. We had everything we needed or wanted within walking distance of great stores, restaurants and activities. The owners were helpful, friendly and available by email and phone to answer all questions. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone and, taking my own advise, am signing up again for next winter. PS Great for wheelchairs.

We stayed at this place twice last year and the photos don't do it justice. As annual returnees to the valley, we've had many not-so-great experiences with other properties, but now we have found what we were looking for. The comfort, style and efficiency fit our vacation needs perfectly. The Zen house is clean and organized with beautiful sunrise mountain views and total privacy. The hosts were friendly and easy to work with and couldn't have created a more simple experience. They provided clear explanations on pool and spa features, local interests, shopping, restaurant recommendations, golf, etc. Thanks guys...until next time, Matthew and Lu, SF

My partner and I stayed here with our Godson, his mother and our Australian Cattle Dog " Lucy" in 2007 for an extended Thankgiving weekend. It was great! The house is very comfortable, stylish and absolutely "Zen" like. We brought a fully cooked turkey dinner (from Marie Calendars) with us, had a Thanksgiving feast Thursday night and had left overs for the whole weekend. We watched movies, read and slept (something we all needed [including Lucy}). Truly a great place with great energy. The immediate area is nice and away from the craziness(yet close to) downtown. It is also nearby to Smoketree Plaza (Ralph's Market, etc..). The owner's were extremely helpful and were prompt with their email communications. The house photgraphs well, however, is much better in person. We'll definitely be staying here as much as time allows, hopefully again very soon.

What can we say it was fantastic!! From the time we opened the front door we felt relaxed, and very comfortable. You have done a great job with decor (love the floors!) maintaining the "Zen". The landscape, pool and total feel of the home is very conducive to a "deep breath and enjoy" experience. We are already looking for time to go again! Feel like we lucked out with finding you! Will definitely recommend to friends from here looking for a great spot to relax in the sun... Thanks so much! Colleen PS It was warm... scratch that blasted hot... but felt heavenly.
