Enjoy this beautiful mountain home located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood two miles east of Julian's historic township. Our architecturally-designed vacation home sits high in a family of oaks just steps away from panoramic desert views. Experience a sense of living in the trees while you relax to the sounds of gentle mountain breezes!
The home's knotty-pine interior includes a dramatic vaulted ceiling and attractive lighting that reflect the ambience of Julian's art community. Artwork lines a stairway that leads to a guest sleeping loft. Our home is pleasingly furnished with many new, comfortable pieces that include a queen-size bed, a double-size bed in the sleeping loft, and two full-size sleeping futons in the livingroom. We provide the firewood for the wood-burning stove. The home has central heating, central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and many windows for natural air circulation. There is plenty of private parking on the property.
You can use the front deck for outside dining and bird-watching. You may also be visited by our local wildlife families of turkeys, deer, raccoons, bobcats, and foxes. Bring your cameras!
Located at an elevation of 4,450 feet above sea level, the historic gold mining town of Julian is located one hour east of coastal San Diego. San Diegans and out-of-town visitors enjoy its unique proximity to state, national and county parks with plentiful hiking and riding trails. The picturesque Anza Borrego Desert is situated just to the east of us. Beautiful Lake Cuyamaca, available for fishing enthusiasts, lies twenty minutes south. You can use your Julian location to take day trips to these nearby attractions throughout the year.
Situated within areas of apple orchards, Julian is well-known for its delicious apple pies, wine-tasting, sense of history, romantic surroundings, and old goldmine. The township has maintained its historic buildings, that now house good restaurants, boutiques, and old-time melodrama entertainment. |
