On the first floor there is an eat-in kitchen, large dining room, adjoining family room, with a TV & DVD player, and a small bedroom off the living room. The large living room offers a place to relax, read, or watch TV. If you like to play games we have a gameroom next to the kitchen with a shuffleboard, bumper pool table, and a large supply of board games. The backyard has a spacious deck directly off the gameroom with a picnic table, adirondack chairs, and outdoor games such as volleyball or croquet for your enjoyment.
Upstairs you'll find a large master bedroom with queen size bed, large bedroom suite with queen size bed, twin, and sofabed; and a third bedroom with a full size bed. There's a spacious bathroom with jacuzzi tub, and a half-bathroom on the first floor.
Searsport is home to the Penobscot Marine Museum, and is known for its antique shops and flea markets. We are centrally located between Bar Harbor and the town of Camden. Take a 45-minute ride to see breathtaking views of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, visit historical Fort Knox in nearby Bucksport, go hiking, souvenir shopping, or take a leisurely ride on a beautiful scenic highway to visit a quaint village. There are also a number of beautiful islands you can visit by ferryboat. Or you can take a sunset trip in a chartered sailboat, glide along peacefully on a serene lake or river in a kayak, or go whale-watching for a one-of-a kind experience.
The new Penobscot Bridge, with a 42-story high Observation Tower, offers breaktaking panoramic views and is one of only three such bridges/ observatories in the world. It's a 10-minute ride from the house and people from all over the world are coming to see it!
