    More than worth the splurge for those who normally don't pay more than the least expensive hotel. For our extended family of 5, this was the Cat's Meow (like a nearby downtown store, an easy 3 block walk, even if I had a walker!). The floor plan was great, with a nice king bedroom, and a twin cot with a convenient adjacent sliding door. The first night my 6'3" Son came and slept comfortably on 2 unique recliners which backed against each other for a long single bed. The couch is awesome and the futon-bed worked well! The kitchen was more than adequate for our Thanksgiving feast, and a breakfast area overlooked a plethora of squirrel and birding activity (nuthatch, cardinal, thrasher, woodpecker & more!). Columbus was an easy 40 mins. and Calloway and FDR State Park were also easily accessed from the home base of Bearfish Cottage. I hope to return to this newfound getaway, and am reluctant to say this, but I hope it isn't already booked, when my calendar allows a return! I highly recommend it, and the owner was very friendly and kind to allow us to flex our dates around the calendar of this quaint cottage.

    Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location and just the right time of year. Saw the leaves changing color and loved the cool crisp evenings on the porch. The beds....too comfortable! I can't wait to come back and make more memories.

    Bearfish Cottage was an enjoyable stay for us, well stocked and very spacious and convenient to Fort Benning, too. Callaway Gardens was beautiful and the antique shops in Pine Mt. were great! We had a wonderful time.

    We were travlers for a Horse Trial at Poplar Place farms. What a wonderful place to stay! There was 9 of us and we had a blast! The accomadations were clean, inviting and met everyones needs! I will suggest this cottage to all my fellow riders and pony clubbers!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

    We have really enjoyed our stay here at Bearfish Cottage. The cottage is very spacious and well stocked and in a perfect location. Callaway Gardens is around the corner and Columbus, Ga. only 30 minutes away. Again we really enjoyed Pine Mt. and the cottage.

    Love the Bear Fish cottage for the week of Thanksgiving 2010.. Festival of Lights was amazing! Great Bar B Que place around the corner that has about 4 tables, but well worth the wait :) Everything you need is here in the cottage and very clean..

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Bearfish Cottage. It is located very close to Callaway Gardens and Pine Mountain restaurants and shops. The neighborhood was quiet so it made for a nice retreat. It is an older home and shows its character. We found the bed to be overly firm. The large walk-in closet would be ideal to set up a crib or a cot for a young child. We thoroughly enjoyed the Discovery Bike Trail at Callaway and The Country Store in Callaway is a great place for breakfast. Other notable finds were ... Crickets....wonderful Cajun cuisine and terrific service Coca-Cola Science Museum in Columbus is a great day trip for young families. West Point Recreational Area (Shaefer Heard) near LaGrange is a good place to go if you enjoy hiking, fishing, etc.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.
