Having stayed in Foresta before, I knew how nice it was. But, this home really added something to the experience. Great amenities, comfortable, well maintained, and very clean. The big front deck with tremendous view of Half Dome and El Capitain cannot be beat. Watched the bats come out each night, listened to chirping birds each morning, watched deer graze from the deck. Easy to get to Valley, Hetch Hetchy, and Tioga Road. Will definitely try to come back - hopefully before I turn 60.

The first weekend in November could not have been more perfect in this lovely abode. We woke up to a winter wonderland of snow. The name "Yosemite Valley View" accurately describes the incredible views from this home. This property is exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the kitchen is well stocked. I have already recommended it to several friends. It was easy to be in Yosemite Valley in less than 15 minutes. Thank you!

Wonderful Retreat!

This was our first visit to Yosemite and we were just awed by the beauty of the park. This home added to the delightful experience. It was wonderful to return here after a long and tiring day of exploring and hiking. The view from the gigantic deck is lovely, and we enjoyed every breakfast and dinner outdoors. The 3 bathrooms really made life easy as we had 6 people in total. The kitchen is fully stocked, and the bathrooms had loads of clean towels, wash cloths, etc. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were sparkling clean. We felt so sorry for the campers who were roughing it with no creature comforts! Also, the owner is very organized and responsive. A real plus when you live on the other side of the country and are planning a special vacation.

Great Week at Yosemite

We were wowed from the first minute in this vacation home. The location insdide the park was convenient but be aware that it is a dirt road with some somewhat large bumps. Our rental car was a Chrysler 300 (which has very low ground clearance) and it rubbed the underside on the bumps but we were able to make it without any other problems. The furniture was older but in good enough condition and it was very comfortable. The view is excellent and it was soooo quiet. After spending the day in the chaos of the crows in the valley, it was an incredible experience to return to this house and spend some time on the large deck. We couldn't hear anything except birds, the wind in the trees and the river in the distance. The kitchen has everything you would want. There was even a few basic spices and some cooking oil. We cooked pork chops the first night and lasagna the second night. There's a TV with a Nintendo 64, a DVD player and a VCR but no TV reception. The TV also has a VGA input that you can use with a laptop but you'll have to bring a VGA cable if you want to do that. We had limited cell phone recepton and no 2G/3G service from Verizon. It was actually kind of nice to unplug for a few days so we weren't really bothered by the lack of TV or internet. My son and I enjoyed the foosball table and dart board downstairs and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Not sure if we'll ever return to Yosemite but this is where I'll stay if we do. I would highly recommed it.

We (2 couples) stayed here for 3 nights for the last few days of May 2011. The house is perfectly located for sightseeing within the park and has every amenity. We loved the peace and quiet away from the crowds at Yosemite Village and dad particularly enjoyed the BBQ on the deck with fabulous views of Half Dome and El Capitan. When we visit California again I would 100% book Yosemite Valley View. Excellent service from booking to a very sad departure

Great Vacation

The house was perfect for our family. It was extremely comfortable and spacious and a great place to relax after a day of exploring the park. The kitchen is well supplied to cook any meal for your family and we enjoyed eating every evening on the picnic table on the deck overlooking a great view of Half Dome. The best part was no internet, phone, e-mail or television - just peace and quiet.

We have been home for almost a week and still basking in the afterglow of staying in your comfortable cabin in Floresta. Yosemite Valley View is so well appointed, it had everything we needed, including a star chart!. Then when you add in the view, it was over the top! It was the perfect place to celebrate my 70th birthday. I invited my three brothers who had never visited Yosemite Point. They have not stopped talking about Yosemite and the magical time we spent together ever since. We viewed stars at night and spent one evening at Glacier Point. We have visited Yosemite many times but this visit was truly special. Thank you.

We just returned from a fabulous Christmas week at Yosemite Valley View. The property is precisely as described and we were happy with everything. It is the ideal location inside the park to Yosemite Valley, the views of the stars are magnificent and of Half Dome and El Capitan as well. It was perfect for our two families of two adults/two children. We will certainly be returning and recommending this property to all who inquire.

We really enjoyed staying at this house which has the advantage of being very private but also within a short drive of the valley. We loved everything about Yosemite and the whole experience was so memorable. A bear walked right past the front of the house on 2 consecutive days (who knows, it may have been 2 different bears!) and we also saw deer, squirrels, chipmunks and so many other wild and wonderful things, and not least, of course, the fantastic view from the deck. A recent fire in the area had apparently driven the bears into the area but we felt so lucky to have been so close to one when you hear how many people never get to see any. The night skies are also spectacular. I would be happy to recommend anyone to stay at this house as it was everything we wished for in terms of comfort and location. I hope we manage to stay again one day.

We just got back from a weekend at the Yosemite Valley View property. The house is newer, clean, and very well maintained. We enjoyed the view from the deck and the available grill. We stayed at your beautiful cabin (house)again in February with our friends, and it was as wonderful as our stays the last two years. We awakened our first morning to snow and watched another foot of snow accumulate before noon. (Very different from last year when the temps were in the 70's) The kids (big & little) had such a great time sledding all weekend long beside your house. Your driveway makes the perfect sled runs. We plan on coming back every year. Your house is so comfortable, and we're always in awe of the view of Yosemite from your living room. Jim & Agnes, you are always so helpful and you go beyond what a typical owner is expected to do. Because of this we will be back again. Thank you again for everything!

This vacation home is modern, clean, spacious and beautiful. The location, which is near the valley and in view of half dome is perfect. Cooking on the grill and using the kitchen is practically effortless with the Weber grill and great set up. My family was extremely impressed that I found such a perfect place for us to enjoy our Yosemite vacation. We experienced cold weather on one of the days of our stay, and my party of 6, including 4 teenagers, had no complaint about spending the afternoon in the house instead of going outside and hiking in the park. With all of the windows and sliding glass doors facing the Valley, we did not even feel like we were indoors. We were totally protected from the elements and still enjoying the beauty of Yosemite while sitting in the living room. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at night and watching shooting stars. The foosball in the gameroom was entertaining, and the whole family enjoyed playing one of the many board games from the game cabinet in the loft. This VRBO is everything that is the website says it is, and even more. Thank you, Jim and Agnes, for sharing your dream home with us. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

What a wonderful house! We stayed for 4 days in December & had the best time ever. A well appointed home with everything we needed. The views are outstanding & the house is only a few miles from the Yosemite Valley Village. We found it convenient & comfortable. We would love to stay again when we next get over to this part of the world. Thanks to Agnes & Jim who did everything in their power to make our stay as effortless as possible. We just recently returned from a girls' getaway at the Yosemite Valley View. We were all amazed at the attention to detail within the house. The house is absolutely beautiful and tastefully done...you will not feel like you are statying in a rental. You will find everything you need within the house (even a wine decanter!). The views are amazing from the deck, so much so that you will not want to leave and explore Yosemite. The house provides a peaceful and tranquil setting within the park without the hustle and bustle of staying in the Valley floor. We will definitely be planning a return visit!! This was the first rental property - out of many we have stayed in over the years - where the level of care was that for a private home. Agnes, we really appreciate the consideration which you have put into the house - it is immaculately kept and equipped. No feeling here of a second home junkyard full of cast off furniture and knick-knacks - just great style. And, of course, location, location, location. We didn't even know that property was available in the Park, let alone property which allowed you to have breakfast with El Capitan and Half Dome. It made the Yosemite experience so much better, particularly with young kids (7&6) who don't like being stuck in the car for long. We plan to return!

Wow, what a gem! I rented this house with 7 friends and it was fabulous. We loved the open kitchen and the big deck, which makes whipping up dinner and relaxing as easy as pie. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house is super clean and well-stocked. The views are every bit as amazing as everyone is saying! Thanks for a great stay! This is an amazing place ~ a real treat. You don't feel like you're staying in a rental but instead in a good friend's special home. It's new, clean, and stocked with high-end amenities. The closed in deck was perfect for our 2 year old. If the serenity, spectacular views (stars forever), and natural setting isn't enough, it's also the perfect way to see Yosemite. You're only (a very scenic) 10 minutes from the Valley. I can't say enough ~ we will surely be back.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this home (it's NOT a cabin!)on two separate occasions and left both times with great memories and feeling more rested than I've been in years. It's spacious, comfortable and close to everything you could want...hikes, trails and the valley. Each window presents a different outlook and the view of El Capitan and Half Dome changes dramtatically as the light shifts during the day...it's mesmerizing. My goal is to stay at this property during each season of the year, I'm sure it would be wonderful no matter what the weather was like. I highly recommend renting this house.

Five of us stayed at the "cabin" in January 2007. I put cabin in quotations because this is so far from a cabin! It is an incredibly comfortable, well appointed, unbelievably located house, that is the perfect jumping off spot for all Yosemite adventures. I can't imagine staying in a better place in or around Yosemite. It is very nice to be able to cook your own meals in a beautiful kitchen while staring out at El Capitan and Half Dome in the distance! I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely going back.
