Great place to stay. Meg & Ben have got it all to make your stay in Annapolis most enjoyable. My mother (88 years old) and I stayed for 4 nights. I felt very safe for my mother with strong hand rails going up the outside stairs. A shower is equipped for someone who might need assistance. The house is unbelievable with beautiful collectibles. The kitchen is complete and so organized!! We stayed in the first floor unit. If you stay in the first floor unit, be prepared to hear the tenants upstairs as they walk around. At times it was disturbing for our sleep. Other than that, it was a perfect place to stay. We loved to sit on the very private front porch. We will return. Thanks Meg & Ben!!1
Owner response:It was a pkeasure having you and meeting your mom and your daughter and son in law. Hope to see you again when you are back out way.

We loved our stay at this cozy family get-away...The home is lovingly maintained by the owners. You will enjoy the family-feel of this home and will marvel at the lifelong collections of the owners. You will find that each time you sit and relax, you will see something on a wall, bookshelf, table etc that you had not seen before. As a result, I think this is a good home for children in the teens but perhaps not younger, as managing the temptation to 'touch' all of the wonderful collectables would be a full-time job for the parent. The grandparents came with us and appreciated having two bedrooms on the main floor of the home. The garden is lovely and the front porch is perfect for reading novels, enjoying conversation, or maybe a nap if your kids allow! The apartment upstairs is lovely and allows for privacy from the downstairs home. You can walk to everything too. Thanks to Meg and Ben our wonderful hosts who always had great sight-seeing advice and daily warm friendly greetings!
Owner response:So nice to have met your family. We hope to see you again in the future if your daughter decides to continue with the sports camps. Best Meg & Ben

In addition to a well decorated - loved the kitchen goddess - and well equipped house and apartment, porches, and yard and a great location, Meg and Ben seemed to have every piece of information we needed to make our four generation, multi-family gathering - many meeting for the first time - a success. We didn't even bother looking at any of the guide books - why bother when we had living tour guides right in the back yard. They seemed to be able to anticipate our needs. I would definitely recommend Meg and Ben, their house and apartment, Eastport, and the entire Annapolis area to friends and family - and everyone else. My husband and I were the first to arrive at the house and Meg and Ben recommended a great romantic spot for dinner for us, VinCafewine. It was a great start to a great 6 days. We loved how convenient everything was - felt like we got to be part of the neighborhood. Lunching around the corner, walking to the yacht club for dinner or to the water taxi. Grilling on the 4th. Brown paper and wooden hammers even emerged for our steamed crab meal.
Owner response:So glad you had a lovely visit with your family. We hope to see you again in the future. Meg & Ben

We have been guests of Meg and Ben for the last eight years during our two children’s tenure at USNA. Their beautiful home has been our family’s home away from home in Annapolis. It gave Plebes a safe place to chill, sleep and do some laundry. It was a real haven from the stress of life on the Yard. We have hosted potluck dinners to graduation dinners and everything in between! Lots of memories have been made gathered around the kitchen island. The flexible sleeping arrangements accommodated the many permutations of our family visits. Meg and Ben are very knowledgeable of the area and made every effort to ensure all went well every visit. We hit all the “local” fun spots on their advice- so much to do in Annapolis. No better place to stay and no better innkeepers to be had. We’ll be back! Sue and Tom Bernardsville NJ

In one word...Amazing. We have stayed in several VRBO rentals over the years. Nothing compares to the home we rented from Meg and Ben in Annapolis. The house is filled with art and momentos of their lives and travels. This is not a typical generic hotel decorated rental. This is a beautiful home full of personality. The owners are on site to answer any questions you may have. There are two very complete gourmet kitchens available if you want to cook. We will definitely be returning to this home in the future.
Owner response:Thanks for you kind words Mary. We enjoyed meeting your family while you were here for your niece's wedding and look forward to your next stay. Meg & Ben

Great hosts on site with an attention to their guests. The mother-in-law apartment upstairs sleeps 3 (1 Queen + 1 twin bed). Living room has a long, comfortable couch with additional seating, tons of books, TV and lots of windows that let in lots of light. The full kitchen was equipped with everything one could need. The property was extremely clean with beautiful, fun art (even the bedding, bathrobes and towels were beautiful). The washer/dryer in the apartment was an extra boon for our MID. We baked, BBQ'd and walked the charming neighborhood. The rental property was about 6 minutes from USNA Gate 1 but a world away from the bustle of Historic Annapolis and the USNA Yard. Staying here was a pleasurable experience and we hope to go back!

I cannot say enough about this property. I have rented two of the property options and both are absolutely perfect. The property is extraordinarily well maintained, fully equipped for privacy or for entertaining and the decor is immaculate and charming. I have never been in a cleaner more well equipped rental property. The landlords are very knowledgeable about Annapolis, Eastport and the Eastern Shore area. The house is located perfectly in Eastport, just a quick walk to the water or the downtown area. Restaurants are easily within walking distance. The pictures on the web are wonderful, but you have to see it to believe it. You will feel right at home the moment you step into this charming Eastport gem. LOVE it and will always go back!!
Owner response:Hey girl! Looking for ward to seeing you back very soon. Lots to catch up on.

We are a family of 6 with kids ranging 9 to 16. It is hard to find a place that we all feel comfortable in. Renting this beautiful house from Meg and Ben was the best thing we did all summer. It is clean, organized, and comfortable. Meg and Ben are the perfect hosts, providing you with everything you could want or need. The photos don't do the porches and garden justice. We only stayed three days, but wished we could have spent more. On our way back from walking to the water taxi the first night my kids were already calling it home. I think that says it all! If you are looking for a wonderful stay with all the comforts of home, book this house!

I have stayed with Meg and Ben on two occasions this summer. My first trip I rented the three bedroom main floor/basement of the house for three adults. My second trip I rented the one bedroom upstairs apartment for two adults. Both rentals were perfect for my needs. The property is very well maintained, beautifully decorated, and contains all the amenities needed for a quiet and relaxing visit. Also, the property is located in a quaint neighborhood within four blocks of the water and several fine restaurants and pubs. I am a frequent VRBO user and this property is at the top of my list. In addition to the lovely accommodations, the owners, Meg and Ben, are delightful hosts who went out of their way to facilitate my stays and make me and my family feel like part of their family. When I am in Annapolis, I will be staying with Meg and Ben, if they will have me.
Owner response:David - Of course you are welcome back! Sadly though if you fly you can't share any of that great Texas beer with us. Darn TSA!!! That was a real treat. Kind regards Meg and Ben

OMG, I truthfully do not know where to start. I lived in the upstairs apt. for a year over a 4 year period during Navy Baseball Season. Not only was it my home away from home but a get away for my nephew and many MIDS. As soon as you arrive - you're home but in an amazing setting of Eastport and Annapolis. The people welcome you - Not once did I feel I didn't belong. Location is perfect for walking to town or to local resturants ( which there are many) or in summer the water taxi. Little Know Fact..Just few blocks away at the end of Jermey Way - there is a park bench - which holds a journal of those who have visited. As you can see from photos provided, the owners Meg and Ben do an amazing job with plants and shrubs making you feel invited. Each year was prettier than the year before. One must visit to fully understand. Meg will probably kill me but the real jewel to this property is hidden away...plan a stay in the main house and you'll understand.
