Amaryllis House rests in a peaceful, breezy tropical landscape overlooking the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Originally built as a private artist's atelier in 1994,with recent updates, Amaryllis House is a secluded, idyllic retreat with only one other house barely visible. Built entirely of wood in a traditional tropical style,the house features a high ceiling with skylight. Take breakfast on the wide verandah, while watching birds, particularly hummingbirds,in the surrounding lush flower and shrub garden with its many fruit-bearing trees. Wake up to the seabreeze, and in the loft to champagne-like light coming in thorugh the trees, and a view of the ocean. A footpath leads you through a verdant meadow to safe swimming at Mahot beach. Recent renovations to the house include a handsome, wide, lit stairway to the house,and some new furniture.
Amaryllis House is situated 40 minutes from Grenada's capital St. George’s, and twenty minutes south of the second largest town, Grenville, near the village of Crochu, in a part of the island that remains untouched by tourism. In comfort, you can experience, as a tourist, the unspoiled beauty of the island, and at the same time get a taste of local village life. A bakery, a small grocery, and night-time street-side bar-b-que are a short walk away, as is the Cabier Ocean Lodge, which offers meals and other services. Maid and cooking services are available.
This beautiful villa is available for families and guests desiring privacy and a place to concentrate on creative work.
