Location: Wakefield, Rhode Island, USA
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)
My 1930's cottage style house is right in town, very convenient, for walking for pleasure or shopping. It is very easy to get to one of the best beaches in the world, Narragansett, by bike or car. The bus goes right past the house, leading to URI, Newport or Providence (about 25 miles North).
The new bike path that runs from Wakefield to the Kingston train station is right behind the house, providing a safe and beautiful walking, biking, running or rollerblading environment. Soon, the bike path will lead all the way to the beach!
The house itself is simple and comfortable. During the time I have owned it, there have been several stages of home improvement. The bedroom in the attic space hopes to boast a deck and private bath soon, but for now, it is a spacious quiet and private hide-out.
On ground level there is a suite of 3 rooms (2 of which are used for sleeping), the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and front porch sun room.
The most recent home improvement has been to convert the open plan basement to a studio apartment. This is expected to be rented out year round to a very responsible person. There is room for one car to be garaged, and 3 other cars to park.
A well behaved pet is welcome, but there is no yard to let him or her run around in. Any outside time would have to be on a leash. Only a block away is a school where there is a big field and playground, where there are swings and slides and a basketball court.
