We just spent a week at Lazy Bear. The listing description and photos were perfect, the cabin was exactly as described. The house was clean when we arrived. We arrived later at night and had no problems finding it given the directions and checking in. Our family had a great time at the cabin roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub after hiking. We also went rafting in Dillsboro for the second year in a row with Blue Ridge Outfitters, riding in the Great Smoky mountain National Park with Smokemont Stables and tubing at Deep Creek. We also had a great dinner at the Dillsboro Smokehouse and of course we stopped by the chocolate shop for treats! My kids declared it :"the best cabin ever" .Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

“We were very surprised when we arrived at our ‘home away from home.’ Everything right at our fingertips smack dab in God’s county! Great get-away in the mountains. The view from the porch is spectacular, the hummingbirds very entertaining, hot tub and fire pit lots of fun! The owner's have done a great job stocking this cabin with everything you need! The Lazy Bear is the BEST!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I recently spent a week at this wonderful cabin! The cabin was immaculate and the decor charming. It was also very well equipped - the owners thought of everything. The location is perfect ~ central to lots of activities and the views are stunning. We enjoyed the peacefulness of simply sitting on the deck enjoying the view and the hummingbirds that visit the bird feeder, but even better were evenings in the outdoor hot tub next to a fire in the outside firepit, We will definitely be going back as we found a small piece of heaven here!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had the perfect Christmas here in Lazy Bear! We will be back for sure. We enjoyed all the snow when we arrived. The Lazy Bear Lodge is absolutely remarkable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the first week of our honeymoon.The cabin was cozy,the view gorgeeous, the wildlife and nearby trails beautiful. Majestic, peaceful, beautiful, fun,relaxing and adventurous and so much more. The Lazy Bear Lodge is the best 5 star lodging I have experienced!
