We really enjoyed our week on Kauai. The house is located 10 min from Poipu and 5 min from the highway. Very easy to get to either to get around the island. House was wonderful and had plenty of room for our group. The caretakers live next door and are very helpful. Be prepared for early morning Kauai alarm clocks (Kauai Chickens). There was not an easy way to close the upper window vents, so the chickens were loud. Kitchen was well stocked and made making meals easy. Look forward to staying again on our next trip to Kauai. We spent the whole month of January in this beautiful home. Pictures don't make justice especially of the gorgeous landscaping around the house. It is situated in a residential neighborhood just 4 minutes car ride from the center of Koloa. The home is well appointed with anything you may need upon arrival and for anything else there is a grocery store 2 miles away. Lots of pots, pans, glasses and plates, silverware and all you can need for some great home cooking. We really enjoyed BBQing out there on the patio and I tell you , coffee will never taste the same after you drink it sitting on the Lanai... There is a young couple that lives next door and takes care of the property , feel free to ask them anything, we had great pleasure chatting with T. the young woman. Our group was 4 adults and a 4 year old and for a week my sister and her friend came to visit, the place never felt crowded. Now, don't look for anything luxurious and chic, the place is just beautiful and functional! It will be our destination next time we want to go back to beautiful Kauai. This house was perfect for our family of six. The beds were comfortable, kitchen fairly well equipped (knives need sharpening), house was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. Local grocery stores were 5-10 drive away--we purchased locally made products that were excellent and didn't seem to be expensive. Our favorite food was Huli Huli Chicken grilled at a roadside stand at the road to Salt Pond Beach. (Unfortunately they aren't there every day--only when they feel like it) The location of the house is great. It was easy to get to all parts of the island. The owner and the caretaker were both very informative and friendly. Would certainly recommend this property to our friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I stayed here for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of our stay. The home is beautiful, private, well-equipped, and completely charming. I sat on the deck in my pajamas in the mornings and watched the local wildlife while I enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee. We sat on the deck in the evenings and had a drink while we grilled some wonderful local fish. The caretakers are a wonderful resource for advice, and we felt completely at home. The home is well-situated so it is very accessible to get around, but it was far enough off the beaten path that it was still quiet and relaxing. We explored the whole island, and we never felt like we were too far from home. We were sad to leave, and we'd stay here again any time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Pictures don't do this place justice. Lovely home in a beautiful setting. Very quiet area with easy access to everything. I was particularly impressed with the generously appointed kitchen, all manner of pots, pans, utensils, and storage containers to make cooking our meals at home a breeze. This is my first choice for our next trip!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
