Attention skiiers and boarders! We just dropped our rates to be THE most competitive in this complex. (If you find a comparable unit in Red Hawk for less, I will beat it). This first floor condo sleeps 4, has a queen bed in the bedroom, a pullout queen in the Living Room, with games, DVDs, cable, free wifi, a gas fireplace, full kitchen and bath. While it's just a few minute walk from the village, the location is very cozy and peaceful. Red Hawk Lodge is one of the newer complexes in River Run and is very popular for guests who want to be close to it all, yet still wish to enjoy some stress-free peace in tranquility. When you are not enjoying the great outdoors, there is a large game room in the lobby with a pool table, board games and comfortable seating in front of the large gas fireplace. You can also enjoy the heated swimming pool year-round, and the 2 hot tubs that look out to ski runs. Also, there's a workout room, steam room, and ski lockers on the first floor. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor. Best of all, this complex has free heated underground parking which makes all the difference in the world. You can leave your boots in the car and they won't freeze! :)
River Run village is loaded with shops and restaurants - it's a village of it's own and has great nightlife, shopping and dining just steps away from the complex. It's just across the parking lot, so while you are enjoying the convenience of all the amenities within a short walking distance, you are still in a quiet part of the village. Also remember that Keystone is the only ski resort in Summit County that offers night skiing!

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Queen bed in the bedroom with a TV/DVD. Queen sofa sleeper in front of the gas fireplace in Living room. Twin Air mattress available for add'l $25 a night upon request.
FLOOR PLAN: There is a fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. All the pots/pans, dishes, glasses and silverware are provided. The kitchen is open to the living room. There is a round dining room table that seats four. The living room is cozy and has a TV/DVD with cable and HBO. Enjoy a movie or read a book in front of the gas fireplace. This condo has FREE high speed Internet/wifi. There is a small ground floor deck off the living room that has views of the mountains, gondola and ski runs. The bathroom (tub/shower) is just off the kitchen.
KEYSTONE ACTIVITIES: River Run Village is the center of all the activities that Keystone has to offer. There are many excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops, as well as many shopping options. In addition to night skiing, Keystone has the Adventure Park, at the top of the Gondola that offers three steep tubing hills. Located by the Mountain House at Keystone, there is the largest outdoor skating rink on a frozen pond with a beautiful Christmas tree in the center, surrounded by shops and restaurants. What could be better?

Why the Owner Chose River Run, Red Hawk Lodge
Never skiied a day in my life til the late 90's - came to Colorado from Chicago to visit a friend, and fell in love with Summit County! After a few years of frequent travels to and from the mountains, I realized the next logical step would be to get my own place and rent it out when I wasn't going to be using it myself. After looking at several units in Keystone, where I first learned to ski, I came to this unit and it instantly felt like home! 5+ years going strong and I still feel the same. So, welcome to my beautiful home.. in a perfect place.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I had no idea how much I would really come to enjoy this condo. I love how convenient it is to everything, especially the gondola and the village! Not only is winter the best time to be here, I hadn't realized how much there was to do in the summer months, e.g., hiking, white water rafting, taking a ride on the gondola, mountain biking (my new summer passion), boating, fishing, swimming (love that pool!) and so much more. The summer festivals are so enjoyable - great for families and friends, or just for yourself to get away and relax..

I highly recommend this 1 bedroom condo. It is in such an ideal location for skiing, mountain biking, running, hiking, or road biking. This is the 2nd time I stayed here and I absolutely loved it here. The first time I stayed was for a romantic getaway. There is so much to do in the area. The second time I stayed was to acclimate myself to the high elevation for a marathon in Leadville. I am coming back for sure. Hope this review helps your decision making.

This place was perfect for a quick escape for my brother and I from the family drama during Thanksgiving break. Just steps from the main gondola and plenty of amenities. We borrowed the poker chips from the recreational area and had a football watching poker night after the lifts closed. The hot tubs were on the fritz (one broken, one didn't get above 97), but it was still a blast! Would absolutely recommend to any of my friends.

I stayed here for a month in late spring to ski Arapahoe Basin (after Keystone closed for the season) and explore Summit County. Everything about this condo made the trip easy: from the heated, underground parking to the extremely well-equipped kitchen to the building's shared facilities (laundry, exercise room, outdoor heated pool, gas BBQ grill, etc.), there was nothing missing. The unit itself was very clean, well-maintained, and felt comfortable like a home. The owner answered all my questions both before and during the stay and provided helpful tips to prepare for my trip. Although we didn't ski Keystone, it was a short and easy walk from the condo to the gondola and the resort village. I would highly recommend this rental property any time of the year - you can't pick a more perfect location for ski season, and the summer is nice and peaceful. I will certainly rent here again. It was great coming back to this condo after a long day of skiing. Very, very clean. Great hot tub and pool. Nice Kitchen to cook in…or close to enough to Keystone and Dillon to hit up a restaurant. Highly recommended!

Stayed here with close friends and my boyfriend for a New Year's getaway and we all had a wonderful time! Super close to the gondolas and the River Run village, as well as the bus stops that will take you to other mountains if you're interested. My boyfriend and I took the Free Summit Stage bus for a daytrip to Breckenridge. The place was cosy and a great to come back to after a long day on the slopes and the fireplace was fantastic during the negative degree weather. There are even board games when you're staying in for the night! Also, Michelle was so nice and accommodating whenever I had questions or concerns. This is definitely the place to stay at during your trip to Keystone!

We had a wonderful time at this condo. We went over Christmas break 2008 and the Christmas lights in town were beautiful as were the lights on the trees right outside the windows to the condo. The condo is so close to the gondola we came home for a lunch break during a full day of skiing. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. There are lots of pots and pans, dishes, utensils and even a strainer for spaghetti. The condo has games and DVD's that the whole family enjoyed. Michelle is wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this condo.

We just got back from Keystone (Dec 2008) and this unit was perfect for my husband and 2 sons. It's very close to the new gondola (much closer than we had expected) and the ski school which was very important for our trip. The owner was extremely responsive, friendly and willing to negotiate so we could enjoy this trip on a budget. Our boys have always wanted to ski and this was the perfect place to do it. We will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed in this condo in July and had a wonderful time. We come to Summit county often and found this unit to be particularly clean, well-stocked, and convenient to just about everything. The owner was very responsive to our needs and accommodating. It far surpassed our expectations. We will be back again!
