The condo is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It was a fantastic location. The waves were crashing right outside the lanai and we were able to watch the surfers and enjoy an amazing view of passing ships, swimmers, parasailers, etc. The condo was clean and the kitchen was modern and beautifully updated. My husband rented a bike and cycled Ali'i Drive every day while I went for a morning run. We snorkelled at nearby locations that we found in a book and map kept at the condo. The best was the Place of Refuge. We rented great snorkel gear from Snorkel Bobs, not far up the road. It was an amazing trip and the wonderful accomodation made it even better. To top it off, we barbequed fresh seafood every night at the outdoor barbeques located near the pool. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the condo and how happy we were staying there. We will be back.

This review is a bit overdue as we stayed there the week of September 4. Everthing was nice and neat and exactly what we expected, based on the photos the owners have posted. We would love to stay there again. You definitely want to stay in this D building as it's right on the Ocean and you definitely want to stay on the second or third floor - too much beach traffic on the first floor. The bedroom window faces the parking the small parking lot so avoid bike week when the loud harleys are in town. Otherwise, you can hear the ocean waves from the living room if you leave your door open - it was heavenly. All in all, everything worked fine and we had all the conveniences of home, including tons of dishes and pots and pans which made cooking a breeze. The owners promptly returned our deposit check within a week of our return! We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in this Condo last July 2009, and I always meant to write a review and never did. I just came across my old booking information and decided to finally write that review. We came into the Kona Reef after a 5 week trip business trip in Southeast Asia, so it was a much needed point of relaxation, especially since I arrived into Hawaii & was diagnosed with Pneumonia! This Condo was everything that the description states it is. It was conveniently located within walking distance to Kona, parking at the unit was always a breeze, the furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the balcony was beautiful to sit and watch the surf (or take a nice nap and recover from jet lag on the reclining chairs). The bedroom was comfortable and the washer and dryer were nice to have in the unit. The condo was in very clean condition, and furnishing's did not show wear and tear. Overall our stay was very comfortable, and the WIFI worked great! We will return to Kona and will certainly consider this property again providing it is just the two of us.
