I stayed here for 3 nights with my 2 dogs and loved it. The cabin is charming, feels very private and is in a quiet friendly neighborhood within walking distance to the lake, and Sunnyside. The cabin was spotless clean with everything you could need to feel at home. Wendy was very personable and responsive to my e-mails and I hope to go back very soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs during Tahoe's first snowfall of the season. It's just as described... Cute, rustic, nestled in scenic alpine pines... Note that this is a no-frills place, but at the same time, the house has all you need for a comfortable weekend. It's well-situated near northern resorts, right on the Lake, walking distance to a nearby store, and close to Tahoe City strip. But the location is "woodsy" and the place like the "cabin" experience. Additionally, Wendy was super easy to deal with - very laid back and professional. I would highly recommend this for a couple or similar looking to get away... We are looking forward to coming back! A total gem, reasonably priced.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this beautiful cabin an entire week and loved every minute of it. My teenage son, myself and our elderly golden retriever were very content. It is everything they describe and more. I tell all my friends if they want to get away and maybe bring the kids and the dog there really is room for everyone. But a romantic get away would also be perfect. We plan on making this cabin our "go to" Tahoe vacation spot.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our Christmas vacation would not be so impressed without the stay in this cozy cabin. You have everything you need in a few minutes walk or drive. Wendy make sure that your stay will be a comfortable one by providing everything you need in the house and make you feel at home. I'm sure that if wifi is added, our stay would be a perfect one. Another thing that we like is that all the pictures posted are real, so there is no surprise or disappointment once you check-in. Till our next vacation...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

The cabin is perfect for a small family looking for a little getaway. Just a pleasant walk or short bike ride from sunnyside, everything you need is within walking distance. Immaculate, comfortable, cozy, romantic spot to spend a weekend, or a month. Close to town, yet peaceful and quiet - easy to imagine you're miles from anywhere. Good location for all outdoor activities. Climb to Twin Peaks from nearby Ward Blvd is a must. Leave your troubles behind, kickback and relax. Fire Stop and Rosies for Breakfast. Evergreen for classy, romantic dinner. Sunnyside for great fish tacos.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Yes, I beleive that this cabin was represented correctly. We have gone twice and I would recommend it to a friend. The cabin is very quaint and lovely. All ammenities are accurately represented, however we wish there to be internet service. The owners are quite sweet and get back to us with all questions answered in a reasonable time. On our winter vacation, we went to Homewood to ski. It is an affordable option when you have kids learning to ski and also the mountain is not effected during windy days whern most resorts close. During the summer visit we spend a lot of time with our dog and local dogs at the creek and hiking in various places. A trip to the Sunnyside beach was nice but I wish the property belonged to a private beach with dock and privledges. All and all our 11 year old son loves it there as there is a ton of adventure in the area for hims to explore. The location is ideal and peaceful, far enough away from busy Tahoe City. We love it there!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I have stayed at this cabin twice in the last couple of years and we just love it. The location is quiet but is close enough to walk down for breakfast at Fire Sign Cafe or afternoon drinks at Sunnyside. There are also many hiking trails only a short drive away. The cabin is just the right size for the two of us as well as one or two visitors. A great find at a great value!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We've stayed at this cabin twice for our church's annual retreat and loved it both times. Cozy with nice big windows to let the sunshine in during the day; it's in a neighborhood but feels secluded. Perfect for a couple's weekend getaway. They have a picture on the mantle of how the cabin looked when they purchased it; you'll be amazed at the how it's been transformed. Clearly, a lot of work and love went into this property. They take pets, too!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin was exactly as advertised and met our needs perfectly. Well-appointed and maintained, very clean. The fireplace was wonderful on the 2 snowy nights we enjoyed there. The neighborhood dogs were all well-behaved fine hosts, sharing pinecones and insisting on playing in the snow. No fuss, no muss, easy to find, no problems at all. I would highly recommend this property to others looking for a cute mountain cabin. Nice neighborhood just far enough off the highway so you don't hear it at all but still plenty close to the Lake and Sunnyside to walk. 5 Minutes from Homewood Ski Area - my personal favorite 'unknown' ski mountain in Tahoe. I'm sure this cabin would be great year-round. We definitely plan to return. Owner response: Thanks for the compliments - much appreciated in our guest book and on-line. We hope to track you down for a massage if we are ever in Hawaii!

We love staying at your cozy and charming cabin on the westshore! (best shore) It is romantic for a couple, but still works well for small family too. Nice job on the decor and the location can't be beat. Love riding our bikes to the Tahoe House for coffee or to Sunnyside for drinks and dinner. The perfect cabin!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family stayed here in August for a week and had such a great time! We brought our 22 month old son and our 15 1/2 year old dog. This cabin was perfect for them both, very dog and kid friendly! We loved the vintage charm and decor of the cabin and it was very comfortable. The neighborhood was really nice to walk around and we enjoyed visiting the playground and Ward Creek. We even had our family who was staying in Tahoe City over for brunch on the patio. They all loved the cabin too! Thanks again for offering such a wonderful family friendly cabin, we can't wait to come back next summer!
