Calling all bears out of hibernation!
If you are looking to escape the everyday life of the city zoo, this is a bear's "dream come true." Upon arrival at this picturesque lodge style home, we were welcomed by a glowing fire and fresh flowers. The owners of this home went above and beyond to ensure our enjoyment and comfort. They even wrote a special poem about the VRBO bear visiting Pagosa Springs!
Although this custom home is very spacious, I felt like I was in my own den. What an eye for detail! The personal touches amazed me throughout my stay, everything from the gorgeous hand carved door to the etched stone surrounding the fireplace. The well equipped, modern kitchen has beautiful custom cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and seating for a large group. You will wake up to stunning views feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep on the comfy beds.
Pagosa Springs is a quaint mountain village surrounded by majestic snowcapped mountains. A must-do is a soak in the therapeutic pools of the world class Great Pagosa Hot Springs (only minutes away)... how rejuvenating! The mama bears can enjoy shopping and massages, while papa bears hunt and experience world class fishing.
Dan, the owner was kind enough to take time out of his busy day to show me his other properties. I would encourage you to take a look at the additional homes Dan has available - they are all worth seeing and would be perfect to combine if you have a large group gathering.
I guarantee you will enjoy your stay, no "bear bones" about it!
