The weather was great during our visit--a couple of rainy days great for relaxing and recouping. Loved shopping and lying out on Craigville each. Everything was great--only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a fire pit. Thanks for opening up your house and property to us!Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 1994
About the owner: My name is Mary Coffey, daughter of John and Helen Coffey wo purchased The Coffey House in 1955. Having spent summers on Lake Wequaquet since around 5 years old, I had sand on my feet and never rinsed off! I love the Cape and purchased the home from the estate in 1994 while teaching high school in the SF Bay Area of California. I 'retired' in 1998 and came full circle back to Cape Cod and made the family home a renters paradise on two-acres of land. I have been very busy but love what I do and where I am.
Why the Owner Chose Barnstable:
This has always been home to me even though I purchased two homes in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am always re-energized by the beauty of the trees, flowers, and natural inhabitants on this property. The musical sounds here are non-describable.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Where is there a place where one can walk out the door and into the woods? Here you can pick up a trail that leads to the Cape Cod Community College, YMCA and Conservatory of Arts. The area is uniquely home to me.
