OUR UNIT has a king-size bed and a small TV in the master bedroom, a sofabed and entertainment center and desk in the living room with larger TV, DVD, (wired) internet modem. Screens on all doors and windows allow a pleasant through-breeze, and there are ceiling fans and an air conditioner for hot days.
Some people say Wailea begins at Kamaole Sands. We can't object, except to say that our beautiful beach is so accessible and the grounds and Aloha atmosphere both comfortable and affordable.
A favorite place. We delight in breakfast or cool afternoon drinks on the west-facing garden-view lanai, morning walks past Keawakapu into nearby Wailea or north into Kihei, pleasant hours on the beach, fresh fish or steaks cooked on one of the resort's Weber barbecues, drinks by the pool, or a stroll through the lush gardens and grassy play areas. Our view of the garden is lovely (see the picture taken from our lanai).
LOCATED at the south end of Kihei, KAMAOLE SANDS RESORT is one of the area's most popular resort properties because of its lush garden layout and its easy access to the beach. Kamaole III is a beautiful, protected beach with grassy play areas, playground and shady trees on an upper level. A short drive or a 15-minute walk away is beautiful Keawakapu Beach.
WE ENJOY WALKING, especially in the mornings, through Wailea with its beautiful resorts, shops, golf courses, and restaurants. Our path takes us along the flower-draped roadway, detours onto mile-long Keawakapu Beach if we're in sandals, and continues up a winding walkway over volcanic lava flows and past more gorgeous beaches and luxury hotels.
ONSITE FEATURES at Kamaole Sands include a large swimming pool, two hot tubs, a children's wading pool, four tennis courts, snack bar, activity desk, and barbecues.

This was a very great place to stay we thank you so much foe letting our family use this wonderfull place ofyours we hope that we can use this place next year mahloRecommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Glad you liked it. We've now updated bathroom lights, bedroom window covering, ordered new carpet. A Tommy Bahama quilt and high thread count bedding freshen the bedroom, along with new lampshades and ceiling fan, just ordered. We stayed at this condo for a week and found it very disappointing. We went with several other couples who stayed in the same complex and this condo is lacking in all areas. It is not upgraded (expcept for the kitchen) the carpet was stained and very worn. The bathrooms were dirty and the bathtub actually had a hole with a rust mark in it. The tile was dirty. The drapes in the master bedroom had very visible stains as well as the bedspread. The TV's are very small-smaller than my computer screens at work and home! I love the condos at Kamaole Sands but would not rent this one again.Owner response: Surprised. This guest did not complain during her stay. On reading this review we immediately followed up and found a stain on the high-quality carpet which we’ve now cleaned. The new tub – replaced in 2005 – had been chipped and was repaired this week. Recently rain-stained bedroom drapes were (and are) scheduled to be replaced this summer with high-end wood blinds for a tropical look. What troubles us most is that the guest felt the place was dirty. Our manager heard from us immediately and promises a swift return to the very high standards we’ve maintained for years. The kitchen and bathrooms were renovated in 2005 and the condo has seen upgrades each year since. We regret this surprising review and do wish the guest had contacted us immediately so that we could have resolved her issues. We have always asked our guests to call right away if there is any problem, and we promise to do our best to resolve any shortcoming.

My husband and I booked Maui for a 10 day honeymoon. The owner/rental company were very friendly and easy to work with during booking. Kamaole Sands is wonderful with some of the prettiest grounds in Kihei, great BBQs, nice pool and great location. This condo was at the back of the complex which made it very quiet but was so close to the pool that we could run up to refill our drinks! There were lots of families with kids, but we never felt like it was too loud. The condo itself was great. The highlight is the newly rennovated kitchen that came fully loaded and the lovely view of the entire complex from the lanai. The living room was lovely, and the bathrooms were updated and quite nice. We were so sad to leave and would DEFINITELY book this condo again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
