Located on the hills of Todi, near the village of Cacciano, the property "Vecchi Castelli" is in a park with lawn of 5.000 sq.m..
We called the country house " Vecchi Castelli" because the valley is rich of historical memories as the ancient Speltara castles, the Almonte tower, the Frontignano medieval village and the ruins of a castle near Cacciano that can be reached by a short walk on foot.
Facing south exposed, mid hill, in a green valley: from there one can have a view over the town of Todi, the green meadows to the surrounding hills, many ancient castles, the wood, olive groves, vineyards, cornfield alternate with sunflowers.
The property "Vecchi Castelli" has three types of accommodation: a Country Villa "L'Ulivo", a large One room flat "I Lauri", and a Cottage "Le Ginestre." The Country Villa finely restructured in 1997 by an Italian Architect (originally a XVIII century farm house) is on two floors in stone and stucco, with oak and chestnut beams. The Country Villa includes a large Portico, professional barbecue and old pizza bread oven.
In the park we planted many local trees like cypress, laurel, oak, European thuja, viburnum, holm oak, broom, nut tree and walnut tree.
June and July are the most beautiful months to becoming filled with the scents and the colours of our several aromatic varieties such as : lavender, sage, rosemary, thyme, savory, lemon verbena and lemon-balm (balm-mint).
During summer we have a coloured orchard which is full of apples, pears, plums, apricots, cherries, etc.
In September, two old fig trees give us their sweet and plentiful fruits.
The swimming pool is surrounded by green grass, flowery hedges, and bushes of ancient roses, pergolas of strawberry vine assuring moments of absolute relaxation in a natural confidential environment.
The old stones and the yellow colour – like sunflowers’ one – characterising the wall of the house will welcome you enjoying an unforgettable stay for peacefulness and welfare : two Umbrian typical features.
Some details and objects in the country house have been designed by the landlady who, inspired by the landscape, takes delight in working the clay extracted from the subsurface.
THE COUNTRY VILLA "L'ULIVO" (sleeps 8 + 1)
- Ground floor: entrance, living room with fireplace,comfortable sofa and chair, dining area with refectory table for 10-12, large fully-equipped kitchen, bedroom with queen-size bed, study with a divan bed for one person or two children, bathroom with shower, laundry, store room.
- Upper floor: sitting room with sofa and fireplace, master bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom en suite with bath, two bedrooms each with two single bed, sharing a bathroom with shower.
- Portico: a large covered terrace, with a sofa and a table, a professional barbecue and a old pizza bread oven, overlooking the pool, the park and the surrounding hills.
- Pool: the Pool (5x10x2.5 metres), with umbrellas and chairs.
Open from mid-may to mid-october.

- A large one room flat situated below the portico and in front of the pool with a dining table, a divan bed for two persons,a dressing room, a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, ping-pong and soccer table and Pergola with table.

Water, maintenance of garden, Electricity,
one cot and one highchair on request.
EXTRA: Cook service.
"LE GINESTRE" (sleeps 2 + 2)
- Independent Cottage; bedroom with queen-size bed, a bathroom with shower, a living room with a fully-equipped kitchen,fireplace, sofa bed for two persons and dining area corner with satellite TV.
Outside a large Pergola with a table.

Electricity weekly (meters), one cot and one

The rent of "Vecchi Castelli" also included a maid who lives
nearby for cleaning and on request is happy to cook Umbrian
specialties.

Payments:50% on booking and balance due 60 days before start of rental.
