  My husband, daughters and I stayed in this condo for 6 nights. Before even arriving we felt very welcome and appreciated the owner's helpful tips for our stay. We had no problem checking in and were immediately very pleased with our choice! Between the gorgeous well-supplied kitchen (plenty of pots, pans, salt&pepper, coffee maker and filters with a small bag to get you through ~2 days of brews, plenty of cups, bowls, plates, wine glasses, utensils, rice cooker, mixer, cooking implements, dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, etc) sitting area, smallish shower-only bathroom (with plenty of shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, etc) and sunset-facing balcony, we had plenty of room to spread out. Speaking of sunsets, the pictures do no justice! Simply breath-taking. We were glad the property was kinda out of the way of the busy Waikiki hullabaloo and enjoyed watching the boats drifting in and out of the marina. The beach and salt-water lagoon is a very short walk down the ramp. The kind-sized bead was AMAZINGLY comfortable!! Anticipating an uncomfortable sofa sleeper the owner provided a couple extremely adequate twin-sized futon mats. Additionally, there was an easy-to-inflate air mattress that served well. On the downside - but you will get this where ever you go - other guests ignored the no-smoking rule on the balcony so we had to put up with smoke wafting into the open slider every now and then. But again, you will get this anywhere you go. Many places to dine nearby but we hit Costco when we first arrived and saved $$$ eating in almost every night. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone that appreciates a cozy, homey condo in a quiet area. We will definitely try to stay here again next time we are blessed with a trip to Oahu. MAHALO!

  First of all, the view of the marina and West facing ocean was spectacular! It provided beautiful sunset vistas. From the lanai one could see Ala Moana park and beach. Condo was extremely well equipped and had everything needed except the food itself. It also had beach chairs, mats, towels, etc. The building itself had restaurants, coffee shop, and a convenience store. Though not actually on Waikiki beach, it was a very short stroll away. Good location close to Ala Moana shopping center and within walking distance to everything in Waikiki. Rental car facilities were right across the street. Quick taxi ride from airport. The owner, was very friendly, helpful, and so easy and pleasant to deal with. My only criticism was the building's pool which was a bit on the small side and lacked umbrellas for chaise lounges and pool-side drink service. There were umbrellas for the tables and the pool itself had a deep end and a roped off Keiki portion. I definitely would stay here again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  The condo has a beautiful view of the boat harbor and ocean views. It is on a quiet side of the building with little if any traffic noise. We found the condo well equiped and in a great location for the Ala Moana shopping center and a short trip to Waikiki. The owner was extremely easy to deal with and was very helpful with any questions.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  Wir waren ca. 20 x im Ilikai .Bei Kathy waren wir die letzten beiden Jahre und es war das beste Apartment das wir je hatten. Wir haben nichts vermisst es war alles vorhanden und wir wurden von Kathy sehr gut betreut. Der Blick vom Balkon ist am Morgen und auch am Abend zum Sonnenuntergang ein Erlebnis.Wenn der Weg aus Deutschland nicht so weit wäre, würden wir jedes Jahr wieder in das Apartment zurück kommen. DasHotel Ilikai liegt sehr günstig. Man ist gleich am Strand. Die Bushaltestellen liegen vor der Tür und auch parken (gegen Gebühr) kann man am Hafen.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  I have never stayed in a VRBO before. Coming from NY, I was not sure what to expect. I had a family of four (two adults and two teens) coming on a shoestring budget. This condo was exactly what was promised. Lovely, pictures are very accurate. They had all kinds of extras from chairs for the beach to beach towels, to coffee to welcome us and pool passes. Kathy went out of her way to answer my endless questions and was warm and wonderful to deal with. I would highly recommend this condo for a single person to a family of four as long as you can all manage in a large studio setting. It was no problem for us. The beach access is just on the other side of the HHV lagoon which is a five to ten minute walk from the hotel. Lovely, clean small pool, lovely restaurant at the hotel with an ABC store just across the way for the food you may want to pick up along the way. I would go back in a minute!

  Wow! What a great place to stay. We had everything we needed here. Great ocean views, nice area, close to Hilton where we walked to often to see fireworks, penguins, parrots, turtles and shop! owner is so easy to work with and a family oriented person. Can't wait to come back!!!

  My husband and I stayed in this unit and were so pleased with it. The tropical ambiance is fantastic. The panaramic ocean view is unbelievable. It was very comfortable and very clean. The full kitchen is great and there are tons of great restaurants within easy walking distance. We live on the windward side of Oahu and this is where we go to relax. Nina October 2006
