Beautiful condo, unique design, huge balcony and bathroom, very nice and quiet place, but close to all the beach and tourists attractions! We found inside all we need for living for the beach and more. Very clean and well maintained house. Great communication with owners, the maps and other information provided was very useful and sufficient to find all we need on Island. Definitely come again to the same place if vacation again in Hawaii. Thank you very much!

Everything was as pictured and described. More spacious than we expected. We stayed for nine days. We had previously stayed five days with friends at a well known time share. Kona Shores was much more comfortable and relaxing. Well stocked with kitchen equipment and other things needed for a beach experience. The huge deck with view was a real bonus. Our trip was last minute due to a family situation and the owner worked with us to fit us in to available dates.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
We'll be back.

What a wonderful place to stay with a toddler. We have a 2 year old and wanted to stay in Kona, but not in the thick of Ali'i. This place had it all. A spacious wrap-around lanai, a master bedroom that was not smack next to the second bedroom, a large Jacuzzi tub, a kitchen that was well-stocked with pots, pans, and other utensils, and wonderfully cool A/C. The condo itself is about a 5 minute drive from the busy portion of Ali'i, so it's easy to get into the thick of things if you want, but you're not surrounded by it in case you need a break. Kona's many beaches are a short drive away. There are plenty of beach mats, umbrellas, and other items you'll need at the beach, meaning you don't have to get your own. Our daughter was thrilled with being able to run around on the lanai and check out the geckos that would frequently poke their heads over the rail. My wife and I cooked most of our meals and ate them on the lanai, enjoying the cool breeze. Basically, we couldn't have picked a better place. We'll rent this place again without hesitation.

We spent our Christmas 2010 vacation in this condo and truly enjoyed it! There's lots of space and all the conveniences we wanted. We loved the local artwork on the walls. It's within easy walking distance of downtown Kailua. We were out sightseeing or snorkeling or shopping every day, but in the evenings we'd come back to the condo to cook a nice meal and relax for the night...

Just returned home from our *third* stay at the 2BR/2BA condo at Kona Shores. The condo is cool, quiet, clean, and attractive. Convenient parking and very spacious lanai with partial ocean view (see the photo). The kitchen, pantry, and closets are well stocked with everything my family needs during our visit, including beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogey boards, kids sand toys, etc. Also includes TV, DVD, boom box stereo, and wireless web access. The swimming pool overlooking the ocean is very nice and has recently been repaved with attractive stones and a fountain is being added. The condo is just about a mile south of the center of Kona and thus is out of the worst of the downtown congestion. Easy drive (or walk) to local beaches, restaurants, stores, and attractions. All of that is why my family keeps going back to Kona every other winter.

We stayed for five nights and found ourselves discovering things avaiable to us every day. We used all the water & beach items...snorkel masks & flippers, boggie boards, water shoes, beach chairs & umbrellas, coolers, etc. The spacious accomodations were very clean and well maintained and everything you need is in either in a draw, a cabinet or a closet. We had not counted on saving so much money by using the things supplied in the condo. We loved sitting on the huge lanai intop the evening with our fu fu drinks watching the ocean and loving every second in Paradise. We will be back and we will recommend this condo to all our friends. Thank you for thinking of everything...all we needed to bring was our clothes.

We enjoyed our stay in your condo very much. Although we spent time in Waikiki afterwards, I enjoyed Kailua-Kona much more. The condo was comfortable and perfectly located. We paarticularly enjoyed the selection of books on the fish, birds and flowers of the big island. It was so nice to be ale to identify what we were seeing. This was my first visit to the state of Hawaii, but I hope it won't be my last. I would not hesitate to book your condo again if I ever have the chance to return to Kailua-Kona.

Pam and I returned a few hours ago from Kona. We had a wonderful time and the condo was more than we could have hoped for. We would not hesitate to rent it again, or to recommend it to family and friends. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went the extra mile to ensure its cleanliness.

Thanks for another wonderful two week stay at your condo (#216). We arrived Nov 28/09 and were pleasantly surprised with all the "beach" amenities (more than we remembered). For the enjoyment of others, we added a couple of small items to the assortment of supplies when we left. This was our second stay at this condo, and we would definately love to stay here again on our next Hawaii trip. Thanks again.

Greg and Ginny, I just wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your condo in Kailua-Kona. It exceeded our expectations; the condo came equipped with everything we needed for laying on the beach and travelling. We had a wonderful time on the island and appreciate all the maps and local info you gave us--it really came in handy. If we ever stay on the Big Island again we'll know who to call! Thanks.
