We really enjoyed a wonderful stay here. All of the comforts of home are provided and the scenery from all of the rooms was spectacular. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking forward to a relaxing, peaceful getaway. Full of all kinds of amenities and the owner made sure that the personal touches made it felt like you were family.

I went with a group of my nursing classmates, it was some of ours first time in mammoth. This condo was very cozy and it was easy to find all everything we needed. It had basic amenities that was very useful during our stay. The only suggestion would be replacing the couch in the living room. Other than that our stay was very comfortable and cozy. Anny- the owner responds very quickly to any questions you have and is very sweet :)

Owner response:I thank you for your input. It is very useful for me. The leather sofa, you mentioned, is a queen pullout and it is not as comfortable as a bed although I had the spring and the mattress replaced in October 2010.

We came to celebrate my husband's birthday with 5 others adults and it was a tight fit, but we did it :-) We had 2 couples and 2 singles so between the king size beds upstairs, the sofa sleeper and the air mattress we brought it worked out beautifully. We enjoyed being so close to the Canyon Lodge and the locker worked out very, very nicely! We walked to the mountain no problem and arrived in about 10 minutes. Not a bad walk at all. We did not attempt the ski back trail because from the map we couldn't understand how it would lead us back to the Raquet Club, but wish we would have once we made the hike up the drive way - it is very steep and after a day on the mountain there is a chance that not all members of your party will want to hike that. Just one mile in the opposite direction from the lodge brings you to "The Village" which is full of shops and restaurants as well as the free gondola that brings you right to Canyon Lodge and it was really nice to have that so close! We highly recommend visiting the restaurant "Gomez" for their "Mammoth Margarita"!! The kitchen was amazing!! We cooked everything from pizza to spaghetti and had absolutely everything we needed! The kitchen/ bar/ seating area was probably our favorite part. The entire living room has a wired speaker system and there are some CDs and movies provided! We enjoyed re-visiting our childhood and watching "Who framed Roger Rabbit" on VHS! The only suggestions I have would be to possibly update the linens or clean them more frequently. The sheets on both beds upstairs spelled very dusty which irritated my allergies. Also, we did have a slight hiccup in checking in because we arrived after the office was closed and our key was not in the lock box like we were told it would be. Luckily, there is an emergency phone and a staff member on call who came down, verified our paperwork and gave us a key. Could have been a slight over sight to forget to mention we were coming which is understandable and forgivable, especially considering the price and location. However, it did leave us some what tense after an 8 hour drive. All in all, we had a great visit and want to thank Anny for opening her place to us!

Owner response:I appreciate your review. I am very sorry that you that your arrival was not as smooth as it should have been. I used to call the office to let them know my guest's arrival date, the day I emailed the confirmation. I now email the office the name, date of arrival and departure of my guests. As far as the linen are concerned, they are only 1 year old and are supposed to be washed by my maid service every time there is a change of guest. I will discuss this problem with them. The ski back trail just opened up end of last year and is intermediate level. I believe that it arrives above the tennis courts, behind the buildings. The trail ends at the Village. It might not well described on the map. During summer, it is used as a bike trail. Instead of hiking the driveway, you can use the stairs next door and cross over. Gomez is a great place to eat and the prices are reasonable. Thank you for being my guest.

One of the best views in Mammoth

We stayed in the Unit for 8 nights over the 2010 holidays. We've stayed in various condos and this one has the best view of the ski mountain as well as the Sherwin Range. The unit itself is older but well maintained and when anything needed repair, Anny responded very quickly the next day. Another great discovery is that the unit is directly below the new "Ski Back Trail" so for an intermediate skier, you can virtually ski home to your door. The access to Canyon Lodge, necessitates a walk from the end of the parking lot, but it is manageable. The covered parking was great but be aware that it is garage parking. Our Small SUV did fit with our Rocket Box, but just barely. The parking permits do allow for outside parking on a first come, first serve basis. The driveway is fairly steep and though the snow removal is excellent, the road can stay icy and an all wheel drive or chains are necessary to get to the unit. We are looking forward to our next stay. This a great value for a great place.
