Enjoy a mountain vacation at Skycrest, a ski condominium with absolutely breathtaking mountain views. Skycrest is located in Big Sky, Montana, in the Mountain Village. A shuttle bus comes by regularly during the ski season, for the 4-5 minute trip to the base area.
The view from this condominium is one of its main attractions. Both the living room and the sun room off the master bedroom have full views of Lone Mountain. Watching the beautiful morning sun reflect off the mountain while enjoying a cup of coffee in the sun room is something that has to be experienced to be believed.
The condominium also has a wood fireplace, and a very large common living area. The common "living room" is divided into two areas, so about eight people can lounge in the living area comfortably, and not interfere with each other's conversations. There is an indoor private hot tub that is right in your condominium, making it very convenient to relax in the hot tub after a day of skiing.
The village of Big Sky, Montana is proud to be the home of two ski resorts, Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin. Big Sky Resort has been a well known destination since 1973, while Moonlight Basin became the nation's newest ski resort in 2003. A combined lift ticket can be purchased for both areas, providing skiers and riders with a total of 5,300 acres of trails that descend a total of 4,350 vertical feet. It is these statistics that have led Big Sky to boast that it has "the biggest skiing in America." Both Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin are legendary for their short lift lines. Waits at the lift lines are rarely, if ever, longer than 1-4 minutes.
Summertime activities are plentiful. The area around Big Sky has some of the most beautiful wildlife in the lower 48 states. Moose, elk, bighorn sheep, and bison all call the area home. Whitewater rafting on the Gallatin River is a favorite summer activity, and several stables that offer horseback riding are nearby. And don't forget flyfishing, for which the Gallatin River is legendary (it was the shooting location for "A River Runs Through It.")
Skycrest condominium is just a short drive from the excellent dining options in Big Sky such as Timbers at Moonlight Lodge, Peaks at Summit Lodge, Lone Mountain Ranch, Bucks T-4, and Rainbow Ranch. The main meeting area in the Mountain Village, including the base area, the Mountain Mall, the Summit Lodge, and the Shoshone Lodge, is a 4-5 minute drive or 20-25 minute walk away. Moonlight Lodge, which includes Timbers Restaurant as well as the Moonlight Spa, is a 5-8 minute drive. Yellowstone Park is a 40 minute drive south on Highway 191. |
