This is your perfect vacation rental home, centrally located, yet tranquil & spacious enough for all your needs. A beautiful, honey coloured period stone house with 3 bedrooms & 3 ensuite shower rooms, located in the stunning 'must see' Medieval town of Sarlat. A small town of exceptional beauty with it's narrow winding streets, stone roofs & Benedictine Abbey; you will be mesmerised by over 1000 years of art & architecture at every turn. The Maison Sarlat is very near to the centre of Sarlat, only an easy 5 minute walk away from the main square which has many buildings dating from the Middle Ages (1340-1453) & the Renaissance Period (1341-1780).
From this Sarlat vacation rental, with it's superb south facing rose covered terrace & private pool surrounded by a tranquil garden, you will be able to stroll to the shops & gourmet restaurants even including Michelin starred!
Why not visit the street markets & food halls, or indulge in the Cafe Culture & watch the world pass by whilst enjoying a glass of the local walnut aperitif.
Sarlat itself offers many free attractions, especially during the summer months, including open air street theatre, acrobats, musicians, clowns, firework displays, art exhibitions and concerts. Nearby attractions include the Dordogne Valley & of course the Dordogne River, Rocamadour, the world famous Lascaux Caves with their historically important cave paintings, the Bastide of Domme with it's Knight's Templar graffiti & you mustn't forget to visit one of the many Pre-historic Caves and Trogloydite dwellings which are still open to the public !!!

LOCAL ACIVITIES
Lazily drifting down the Dordogne river in your own canoe, passing Chateaux, Bastides & medieval villages as you go is not to be Missed. Take your own picnic & stop off at one of the many beaches along the river, or pull in for a gourmet meal at a restaurant. For those of you feeling a bit more energetic, join a bike tour & see the leafy lanes & valleys. Hot air ballooning & micro-lighting flights can be organised locally for the more adventurous amongst you. There is a 'Tree Adventure Park' near by, which is a great place to go with a group of kids & adults alike. There are also the many local caves including Lascaux & Font de Gaume at les Eyzies with their Prehistoric paintings for you to visit. Sarlat itself offers many free attractions, especially during the summer months, including open air street theatre, acrobats, musicians, art exhibitions, concerts & firework displays.
There are many festivals, fairs & markets throughout the year. From mid July & throughout August there is a Music & Drama Festival in Sarlat with open air concerts & plays, street entertainment & busking musicians, who will amuse & delight you for all for free. Try the summer Night Markets & Gourmet Feast Days where it is possible to try the food from the region, watch it being cooked before you then sit & enjoy with a glass of local wine in the open air dining areas. During the autumn & winter months you can visit the Truffle markets & search for the famous Cepe mushrooms which grow in abundance in the fertile Dordogne region. In the village markets the fruit & vegetables, nuts & mushrooms of every description bear witness to the region's self-sufficiency in food.
It is all here for you to do whether its drifting down the river on a passenger boat or canoe or eating at a Michelin starred restaurant, we will try our best to arrange it for you - even the sunshine !!!
ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
* Change-Over Day is Friday During Weekly Lets. Mid November to the end of February 3 night minimum lets are available.
* A deposit of 30% of the rental cost will be payable to confirm the booking, the final balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date with a security deposit for the equivalent of 300 euros in your own currency paid by cheque. This will be repaid or destroyed (less any costs for breakages or cleaning) within 2 weeks of your departure.
* Credit cards, UK sterling, USA dollar & French euros Cheques accepted. Bank trnasfers in sterling or euros possible.
* Cancellations must be made in writing/by email:-
Up to 90 days before rental start date – deposit refunded less 75 euro admin fee + any bank/Paypal fees. Between 60-90 days - 50% deposit refunded less admin/bank/Paypal fees, remaining deposit refunded if we are able to relet.
Between 1-60 days – No refund of deposit unless we are able to re-let, less any re-advertising costs and admin/bank/Paypal fees.
* Change-over day is Friday, arriving 16.00hrs departing 10.00hrs.
* Electricity is included up to 60 kw per week & charged at 15 cents per kw there after.
* We hope that you have enjoyed your stay in our home, so please leave it as you would expect to find it, otherwise we can offer you a end of stay clean for 40€ if preferred.

- Washer: Top loading washing machine with an iron & ironing board.
- Linens Provided: For your arrival all the beds will be made up with crisp white cotton bedlinen on feather duvets. The shower rooms will have one bath towel & one hand towel per person provided. Pool towels are also included during the summer months.
- Off Street Parking: There is ample secure parking for several cars. This is a great bonus as Sarlat has limited parking which is mostly payable and usually full during the summer months.

- Wood Stove: There is a log burning stove in the living room for those romantic evenings in. We will leave a stack of logs for you to use during the winter months.

- King Bed: In the first floor Master bedroom there is a Kingsize 160cm bed, this room has an ensuite shower room.
- Double Bed: In the ground floor double bedroom the bed size is 140cm, this room has an ensuite shower room. This room also has independant access to the front terrace.
- Twin/Single Bed: A ground floor bedroom with 2 single beds. This room also has an ensuite shower room.
- Crib: We have a babies travel crib/cot. If you require this please enquire at time of booking for availability.
