Our week went waaay too fast - it was a time of getting our whole immediate family together to just have fun without any outside commitments. Our boys split their time between wave riding, the sand and fish; our girls between sand everywhere and the pool. A crowd gathered to help as they all worked on a system for sand pools which ran together in a fish trail near water's edge as our son used a bait net to catch little fish for the maze.....it was a real hit for all those who gathered to watch or help. We appreciated the extras - sand chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, shovels, pails, etc. And the bikes are a great addition since our last stay...the pre-teens loved the opportunity to "cruise" by themselves for a couple of blocks! In your home, we found everything we needed and had plenty of space to refridgerate, cook and clean dishes, and gather wherever the current game or puzzle was. The play station baseball game kept fathers. sons, cousins, aunts and uncles competing all week. Having two washing machine was very convenient....a great idea for a gang! We loved the convenience of the elevator because we cooked enough for an army each evening and somehow we had to get it from the street to the third floor! We would highly recommend your home to any large family or group of families looking for a place at the beach that has everything.

Our growing family (12 adults & 8 "grands" under the age of 10) thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at this exceptionally nice vacation rental and we will go back next summer! The house is well-built, spacious, and gorgeous inside and out. Having 8 bedrms with attached bathrms is a real plus! This house is perfect for large, multi-family gatherings with its large kitchen (2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers), table for 12, additional tables outside, several king beds, and baby equipment. We loved seeing the nearby ocean from the huge front deck and appreciated the very short walk to get there. The kids and adults loved the big pool and patio area. Having WiFi, stereo music, multiple TVs, beach chairs, pool/beach toys, ping-pong, and corn hole available were extra perks!. We can't think of a single amenity that was lacking and the owners even left a whole notebook of helpful information about the house and the Ocean Isle area. This house exceeded our expectations and is definitely our favorite beach house ever!

We had our first family beach vacation here in June and it was truly fantastic! We had a party of 14 which included 8 adults and 6 children between ages 18mo to 9 years and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep, relax, cook, eat, play and just enjoy the time together. We are a fairly particular group with somewhat high standards and we were overly impressed with the property in all its ammenities and upgrades!! The kitchen is spacious and having 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers came in very handy, as well as the large eating area with a table to allow us all to eat together. The bedrooms were spacious enough for clothes, belongings, suitcases - the beds were comfortable and having a bathroom in each bedroom was extremely convenient! Being directly across the street from beach access was great and coming home from a day at the beach to shower off the sand in the outdoor shower and jump in the pool was the best part for the kids! Everyone could continue their late afternoon fun while adults made dinner and cocktail hour commenced! We truly did not need to bring anything for the kids, as there were wake boards, tubes, sand toys, beach chairs which kept everyone happy all day every day! We had such a great time, it is hard to put into words. If you are considering a trip to OIB, this is the place to stay! Our family had such a great time we will be back again next year! Thank you for building a great vacation rental and providing all the conveniences a large group needs! You thought of everything!

Our family has stayed at this house for the past few years and every year we don't want to leave. This house is perfect for our family. We have several generations and babies to teens. We have not found any other house at Ocean Isle as perfect for us as this house(and we have been going to Ocean Isle for close to 25 years). The house is very clean and well decorated. The owners are extremely easy to deal with and helpful. I highly recommend this property and am comfortable in telling you that you will not be disappointed!!

Our (very large) family scheduled a family reunion the week of June 12, 2010. We chose OIB as the halfway point between our Delaware and Florida family members and we also wanted to avoid the more touristy and hectic Myrtle Beach area. Although not all of our family members could make it, we did manage to bring 26 of us together for a wonderful week. We had family members ranging in age from 6 months to 85 years young. The house was all that we could have hoped for in spaciousness, amenities and the location turned out to be perfect. The elevator was an absolute necessity for some of our senior members and certainly a back-saver for us middle aged parents, when unloading and reloading the luggage on both ends of the week. Each room was tastefully decorated and the appliances were top notch on the upper floor where the larger living room is located which is where the family tended to congregate. There was plenty of food storage capacity in the double refrigerators and the dual dishwashers were an added convenience. The pool area was a nice place to finish relaxing, conversing and grilling after long days on the beach. As previously mentioned, the house location was ideal. Although not ocean front, we had clear views to the ocean from across the street and could see our family members on the beach from the house deck. The beach walkway access was diagonally across the street and made it easy to get back and forth to the house during the day as necessary. We rented 2 kayaks for the week so this made their transport easier. The weather cooperated and turned out to be perfect (very hot) every day with only brief periods of showers that are typical for this climate. There were some excellent late day / early evening light shows and we enjoyed the thunder boomers they produced ? We would highly recommend this house for anyone with higher occupancy requirements, a quality home in a quality location. The owners are a pleasure to work with and were very helpful in answering the many banal questions we had about the home and the general surrounding area, such as locations of grocery stores, hospitals, airports, etc. We hope you enjoy your OIB experience as much as we did. We recently stayed at this property in June 2010. The house was just as the pictures portrayed. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The A/C worked great. Tempertures were in the 90s during our stay and the rooms stayed cool. The view of the beach from the decks were spectacular. Access to the beach was right across from the house. The pool was well kept and clean. Owners are very friendly. They provided us with lots of information about the town, the restaurants, and local activities. We loved the resort itself. The town was quiet and peaceful. Just what we were looking for in a resort. The restaurants we visited were average and reasonably priced. Would recommend this rental house to family and friends. Most of our family was there during the stay. Would love to do it again next year.

We had the pleasure of enjoying your beach home the week of July 18, 2009 with our family from Spotsylvania, Roanoke and Truman, Minnesotta. The house could not have been any better, plenty of room so everyone did not feel as if we were on top of each other. Beautiful views, nicely decorated and appointed with appropriate needs for large gatherings. Pool was great and room to play games around pool area. Have been going to OIB off and on for 30 years and were very impressed with home. Can't wait to go back next year!

Our family has been going to Ocean Isle Beach for over 20 years and this house was one of our favorites if not the favorite. This house was perfect for our large family. We have children ages 5-12 and two more on the way. They loved having their own "area". The beach access is very close and the pool was great. The amenities were endless and every aspect of the house was tastefully decorated. This house is in every sense a vacation home. We can't wait to go back!

This is an awesome property if you are looking for a great place to have the whole family together while still providing plenty of privacy for all the guest's. It exceeded all of our expectations. It is very well kept, offers every emenity you could possibly wish for and provides a wonderful view of the ocean. It is also a great place to consider if anyone on your party may have limited mobility. Every room has been nicely decorated and loaded with anything you may need. Private bathrooms ensure privacy. Common areas are spacious and well appointed and again, will exceed your expectations. We will most definately consider this property again in our family plans. Enjoy!

Our family stayed here May 15-22, 2009, and we had a wonderful time together. We have a total of 17 in our family....my husband and I, our two daughters, their husbands and 11 grandchildren (12th to be born in July). Both girls will have 6 children! This beach house was absolutely perfect in every way for us. I do ALL the cooking and the kitchen makes it so much easier to keep enough food on hand with the 2 great refrigerators and 2 dishwashers!! I cook full meals every night and most mornings and everyone was happy!! We hope to spend more vacations here at OIB in this wonderful home. Thanks to the owners for such a beautiful and functional home for families to make wonderful memories. The Carters, Raleigh, NC

What a great time we all had at Ocean Isle Beach July 5-12, 2008. Everyone loved the accommodations, the pool, and the easy beach access. You even arranged for good weather! The locals told us it was cool weather, and the Ice Cream Shop said that business was down, but we found the temperature to be perfect, and what little rain we had didn't interfere with anything. The grandkids took home a lot of wonderful memories of this vacation, and are already talking about “the next time”. The size of the house was perfect for our group of 27, (12 adults and 15 kids, ages 3-16 years). The kitchen setup was ideal, especially with the two big refrigerators and the two coffee makers. During non-pool and non-beach times, the lower floor family room became the video game headquarters for some of the kids, the dining room table became a craft center for others, and others were playing non-video games. Each of the 6 families was responsible for one dinner, so we ate very well as they each presented their specialty! On Friday, most of us went to the Dockside Seafood House in Calabash for dinner. The shrimp were unbelievably delicious! We hope to be able to come back in the not too distant future.Ray & Kathy Gaugler, kids & grand-kids, Cleveland, Ohio area

Adding to our comments below, the features of this home that were important to our person in a wheelchair were the elevator, a walk-in shower, doors and halls wide enough to easily accommodate a wheelchair, hard surface wood floors for easy wheelchair movement, and the location at one of the two beach access ramps without steps on the island.

Your beach home was a wonderful place to spend a memorable week with all of our family. It met all of our expectations fully. The location on the island was great and so very close to the beach access. The ocen view from the decks were enjoyed so much. The two dishwashers and refrigerators were so helpful with the 17 of us. We all enjoyed the nice size pool and your generosity of pool rafts, chairs, etc. in the storage area. Your home was voted the nicest home we have stayed in during our many years of beach vacations. We would highly recommend it. Dave and Jan Dever and our families.

What a wonderful home to set the stage for our family to gather and spend time together. Knowing the owners personally as we do made it even more special....I was not surprised to find they had gone way beyond the standard in thoughtful extras for a rental. Everything was first class all the way. Even with a large group (17) we had plenty of room to spread out or to come together to dine. Couldn't give the home a higher rating!!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this fabulous vacation home. There is nothing more we could have needed to have a great time with convenience everywhere, from the beach access to the pool to the kitchen. It was a pleasure to stay at a new and well-decorated place with so many amenities. We took about a thousand digital photos, many simply of the spectacular view from the deck or the younger kids doing projects at the teak table on the deck. It was amazing how easily several families were accommodated with space to spare. We look forward to a return when we can arrange another family reunion.

We celebrated our parents 55th wedding anniversary with a huge siblings reunion at Ocean Isle. What a great experience! We had 22 in all from 4 different generations stay for a week in this stunning home. The kitchen and outdoor grill was so outstanding that we never went out to eat the whole time! We started our days on the 3rd deck, drinking coffee and contentedly rocking as the sun rose and ended our days gathered around the pool. The amenities were unbelievable, the beach was beautiful and our memories of this visit are priceless. I would not hesitate to fully recommend this rental! Everything was top shelf! We loved it and it was worth every penny to have our whole family together in such a delightful and luxurious setting. Bravo!!

What an amazing house! It is so spacious and accommodating for a large family, yet there was always a place to sit quietly and be alone if you wanted to. The pool was the heart of our fun and enjoyed by everyone. The kitchen is fabulous. The dining was always comfortable no matter how many people we had. We gave it very high ratings!

This has been one of the BEST vacations we have ever taken as a family. The home is absolutely beautiful and the on-line pictures do not do it justice. It is large enough for 3-4 families and it truly does have 8 master suites (each bedroom has its own full bath). It is one row of houses off of the beach...so the views from the very large decks are amazing of both the beach area (sunrises) as well as the moon coming up over the ocean at night. It is decorated to a tee. Even though we had 3 families, there was plenty of space and it never felt crowded. The gourmet kitchen is to die for...all stainless steel and double everything (double dishwasher - double HUGE refrigerators, etc.) granite counters...a lot of light flowing in from all directions because of so many windows. Also - bring your own MP3 player and simply plug it into the whole house audio system...fantastic music for the entire week! And to top it all off... a pool in the back yard! This means that there is no need to entertain the kids. They are constantly either at the beach, or in the pool. The owners were absolutely fantastic to deal with and very accomodating to a schedule change which required us to arrive and depart mid-week. Would HIGHLY recommend. 8/23-8/30 Regards, The Kovac's (Michigan) The Nojaim's (Virginia) The Soldo's (Germany)

Wow! What a wonderful time we had at OIB recently! We were so blessed to be together in such a glorious place. The beautiful house was awesome, the amminities were "over the top" and the personal attention to details were incredible. Our ages spanned from almost 80 years to 6 months and all nineteen of us had a terrific experience. Each night we gathered on the upper porch for "family time" and devotions. How special is that?! We look forward to another vacation in the same house next year as we have already made plans to relax from our daily schedules and renew our hearts there again. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home "at the beach"! The Youngs, The Millers, The Paces, The Bennetts and The Workmans Marion, NC and High Point, NC Psalms 148

This house was amazing. It was the perfect house for the oldest (90) and youngest (6 weeks) member of our family. It had EVERYTHING we needed to be comfortable for the week and enjoy our family reunion. The children lived in the pool and the adults at the beach. The owners of this home thought of everything to make this a vacation haven!

We had the pleasure of staying in this incredible beach house with family and friends. It's absolutely amazing with all of the amenities that you could ever ask for in a beach vacation home. From the heated pool with lots of space for outdoor living and entertainment to the huge decks with fantastic ocean views! We had our coffee each morning on one of the two huge decks overlooking the ocean. It's great to have the privacy of your own pool yet have the option to sit on the front decks overlooking the ocean and watch people running and walking along 1st street. We really enjoyed the second family room to add privacy and quiet time when you needed a break in the action. The kitchen is fantastic with two coffee pots, two huge refigerators and beautiful finishings. We loved the huge dining table indoors and the lovely teak table on the top deck when feeding our familiy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to anyone looking to bring their family together for a vacation to remember. It's a place to make memories with those you love!

This home qualifies as 7 Star. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world. This property rates above them. Every detail has been covered. The house has a fabulous location with wonderful beach views. The children have their own familyroom and the adults theirs. Double all appliances. The house is so spacious that each person can find his own place. A stay here will create those memories that you family will talk about in years to come.

We have been going to OIB for many years and have stayed in many different homes. This is by far the most beautiful, well thoughtout home we have ever rented! The bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect - the most comfortable beds! The kitchen area was incredible. We cook a lot so it was nice to have so much space and such nice appliances to use too, especially the 2 coffee pots! I would highly recommend this perfect house to anyone but especially to those with a large family that loves to be together but also likes their privacy too. There is so much space, you are always comfortable. We're already planning 2008 now. Oh yea, the coffee on the decks each morning just started the day off perfect - lots of ocean views and its so much fun to watch all the people too.

I was the first guest to stay in this gorgeous home on Memorial Day week and weekend! The owners have thought of everything...every detail is phenomenal and the amenities abundant and well above any beachhouse that I have ever stayed in at OIB. I had a delightful, relaxing time from the beautiful mornings when you wake up to the view of the beach to the breathtaking sunsets while enjoying a beverage on the deck! The pool is huge with an abundant area for lounging and shade-twice the size of the neighboring pools! I will definitely be back next year. I give it a 10+++!
