Had a wonderful 10 day stay at this little place. The location is ideal, steps from the lake. The cabin has a wonderful view, open living room with slide glass doors which open to deck, sand and lake. Very dog friendly which was a priority for us. You can walk across street to Safeway which is convenient. The cute window in the master bedroom had views of the lake which was such a special treat to wake up to. Also, the master bed is super comfortable. It is a very rustic cabin and the bathroom and separate shower are very tiny, but location made up for cabin size! Enjoyed our stay and we LOVE tahoe!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

This is the second year our family spent a mid-summer week at this wonderful cabin at the lake. It's easy walking distance and/or short drives to many excellent restaurants and activities in and around Lake Tahoe are excellent. If you prefer to just 'hang out' and have a perfect day on the lake, this cabin has everything you need to relax (spa, great trees, chairs) and to have fun (kayaks, long board, vests, ..)!! If our dogs got to vote for family vacation spots, this Tahoe cabin would top their list as well. It truly affords a great time for all. Shawn Sackman - Shingle Springs, CARecommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

My mom always said try to be positive - so in the interest of that concept I will begin by stating that the hot tub and views from the yard were very nice. The hot tub was large and clean and the house was situated right on the lake. Unfortunately, the rest of the place was a disaster. The bedrooms were miniscule - realistically only accomodating at best 3 adults and a dwarf or infant. The fireplace was broken spewing smoke and toxic fumes throughout the house making it essentially uninhabitable. Multiple calls placed to the property manager went unanswered until finally threatening to contact the local authorities. Many hours later a return call by the management offered no assistance other than "do you know how to use a fireplace"? Having owned a home with a fireplace for the past 20 years, I know that the chimney either needed to be cleaned or there was some sort of obstruction preventing it from functioning properly. After spending one night there my throat and chest hurt so much that I had to leave. The other major problem was the uneveness of the cabin temperature. The upper bedrooms were uncomfortable hot while the bathroom and lower bedroom (more like a walk-in closet) were freezing. In summary, if you are lookiing for a pleasant STRESS FREE place to get away, this is not the place to go. I have rented through VRBO many times in the past, and up until this occassion have been satisfied. I would NEVER EVER stay here again.Owner response: (Note: Nicole told me her Boy Friend actually wrote this review instead of her.) The cabin is about 1000 sq. ft. and is certainly small. With three small bedrooms, one with a full California King bed, one with double bed and the other with two full size bunk beds, it sleeps 6 adults without a problem. (Nicole and the Doctor were the only people in their party and we have often had our maximum of 6 adults here at the cabin with no complaints.) On arrival he called yelling that I had lied to Nicole saying we have good cellular reception here at the cabin and that since he was a Doctor he had to be in touch. I explained that Nicole had never asked about Cellular reception and he immediately asked Nicole and confirmed that was the truth He remained upset at both of us long afterwards. The weather in January is often VERY cold. The next day they lit the fireplace, without pre-heating the chimney so that it would draw the smoke and got smoke in the cabin and departed early. I had our property manager check the fireplace after they departed and it works fine as usual and there in fact was nothing wrong with it. The cabin has an A frame open beam living room with two bedrooms upstairs and a floor furnace in the living room. If you leave the bedroom doors open the heat will rise and overheat those rooms. Whenever that happens it is very easy to open a window for a few minutes to let the heat out, particularly when it is below freezing outside and then close the windows and keep the bedroom door shut. Nicole and I agreed to settle this and then she never proceeded with our settlement. We did our best to make them happy and regret that they were not. NOTE NO OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS!

We have stayed at this house 2 years in a row and we love it! It is so nice to be able to bring our labrador with us, she might even love it more than we do (not really)! The rooms are quaint and on the small side, but it fits our needs quite nicely. Beautiful scenery, great beach!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Loved this cabin! Comfortable, cozy, and home-like inside...beautiful lakefront outside. We felt like we were in our own private oasis. Plenty of deck space for relaxing outdoors. Kayaks and a canoe for enjoying the lake. Firepit for s'mores and taking the chill out of the cool Tahoe evening air. Comfortable beds for restful sleep and an amazing view of the lake from the upstairs bedrooms and downstairs sliding glass doors. Kings Beach Park was a short walk down the beach from the cabin, where we enjoyed several games of volleyball. Restaurants, shops, a grocery store, and a golf course were also within walking distance. We were able to take our dogs, which we really appreciated...2 members of our family that we hate to leave behind. Fun was had by all, and we came home very relaxed. We'll definitely be going back to this wonderful lakeside retreat!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Much! Please do return when you can. Jack & Becky

We recently returned from a fabulous anniversary week at this beautiful lake front cabin. It was all that we anticipated and more...rustic and cozy with gorgeous views and an awesome location. The lake out the back door, a golf course across the street, and just a short walk to a grocery store! By far the nicest cabin we've stayed in. We will be back!!Did you find this review helpful? Here’s a huge thank you for the use of your home on Lake Tahoe. We literally had one of the best vacations of our lives due in large part to your wonderful lake front cabin. The picture perfect sandy beach right in front of your home was a perfect playground for our family. We also greatly enjoyed the mooring ball for our boat and the kayaks for daily paddles up and down the scenic shoreline. (The weather didn’t hurt as it was nearly perfect every single day but your wonderful home is what made it so very special.) Your home is so perfectly decorated that it immediately took our minds to a different place far away from the daily grind. Exactly what we were hoping for when we discovered it on VRBO and we were not disappointed. I do not think we could have found a better place to stay anywhere else at the lake.
