Enjoy a little bit of country and history located in the heart of our city, one mile from downtown New Braunfels and one mile from Gruene, Texas. The first home built by Ernst and Antoinette Gruene in 1857 still exists in a secluded, farm-like setting.

Relax among giant oak trees and refreshing breezes. Country comes alive as you make memories around the large campfire. Quietly gaze at the open sky, with silence broken only by the whistle of the distant train and sounds of the native wildlife.

HOUSE AND CABIN ARE AVAILABLE INDEPENDENTLY OR TOGETHER. RESERVATION CALENDAR MAY NOT REFLECT ACTUAL AVAILABILITY FOR RENTAL OF COTTAGE UNLESS IT IS BEING RENTED WITH THE MAIN HOUSE. PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL.

MAIN HOUSE
Three bedrooms (King, Queen, twin trundle bed) sleeps six. Large bath with double sinks, separate shower and old fashioned footed tub. Additional bath with shower included. Fully furnished kitchen, washer and dryer, cable TV, internet access, BBQ pit with smokebox, picnic tables, outside patios with fireplaces, horseshoe set-up, two adult bicycles, large hammock, fine linens and down pillows, games, books, magazines, movies. Cots and queen-sized air mattress available.

COTTAGE FOR TWO TO FOUR
Features King sized and Twin trundle beds complete with Bathroom containing shower. Fully furnished efficiency kitchen and living area, cable TV, internet access, outside deck, BBQ pit with smokebox, picnic tables, patios with fireplaces, horseshoe setup, fine linens and down pillows, games, books, movies. Cots available for kids.

  • The pictures are beautiful on the website, but after arriving, it was so much more! We felt as though we were staying in a relatives home. Very comfortable and relaxing. Loved watching the deer every morning while setting on the backyard swing and evenings having my little grandson count the lightning bugs (which you don't see in Houston). This will be a home that my family will return to. Thank you for the experience!

  • The house was perfect! Very family friendly. Our two kids loved feeding the cat and watching the deer. The ammenities were plentiful and not a single detail was left out. We have talked about our stay at the Rock Street Resort non stop since we have returned home. Hope to stay again soon!

  • Absolutely charming! This place has all you need to have a wonderful time. Beautifully decorated, lots of space, all kinds of amenities (books, dvds, games) and a huge backyard. My children and my nieces and nephews had a great time running around the house without us being worried as the property is fenced all around. We also rented the cottage and it is as cute and comfortable as the house. Hope to come back again.
