When we arrived late at night , we were so happy to find everything as described. The vacation rental was perfect. We snowmobiled and also done some ice fishing! Everything was right outside the front door. Perfect. Our boys had such a great time and would love to return in summer. Brian was great to work with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My friends and I have now stayed here two years in a row for fishing trips, and are planning our third trip now. The home is maintained as well as any hotel that I've ever stayed at. Even the most outdoor timid minded of people will feel extremely comfortable here. Inside feels like in your in your living room at home, and right outside the giant floor to ceiling windows is the beautiful lake and northwoods. Do not hesitate to stay here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Truly a beautiful spot. The lake house is a home away from home that just happens to be located on a beautiful lake. The fall leaves were magnificent. The amenities were excellent with an array of kitchen utensils and dishes. Our only suggestion is to inform your guests that they will have to provide their own ice. We returned home feeling refreshed and confident that we had made a very good investment on the perfect vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

The cottage is spacious and clean with all the essentials included. Bring yourselves and your clothes and settle in for a wonderful time!! The lake is very clear and beautiful with a great area for swimming and fishing right off the pier. We had a jet-ski delivered and the gentleman from the area commented on how clear and perfect East Horsehead is. He spends most of his time in Minocqua Lakes so forgets about East Horsehead. He said he would spread the word but we wanted to keep it our secret jewel in Northern Wi.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We love this place. The five of us (2 adults and three kids ages 10, 12, 15) had a wonderful time. This was our second time vacationing at this home and we strongly recommend it. The kids loved the tire swing and paddle boat - yes even the 15-yr old. After the fourth of July crowd left on Sunday night, we had the week to ourselves, only having to share it with the family of loons and a family of ducks. Kids floated way out from the dock on air mattresses and we didn't have to worry at all about boaters or pontoons hitting them. The water is crystal clear and they all caught fish without having to learn patience. The home is well layed out, clean, private, quiet and exactly as advertised. Owner was very easy to work with. The location is great for nearby river kayaking, biking the Bearskin Trail, swimming at Sand Lake as well as shopping in Minoqua.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The location was a bit tricky for my wife and I to find since the street name where the cabin was located had apparently change. We were coming from Milwaukee and unfortunately we had a busy work week. It was getting close to dust when we figured out that the street name had changed. Fortunately my wife saw the new street name when we passed by it for the second or third time. Once we arrived we were ah struck by the beautiful view of the lake. The autumn leaves were peaking. It was a picturesque view. The lake house was also stunning. We walked into the living room kitchen combination and looked out at the pristine East Horsehead Lake. The entire wall facing the lake was ceiling to floor glass. We were thrilled to have arrived. The master bedroom was a perfect size. The living rooms gas fireplace was an extra added bonus. The trip was our fifth wedding anniversary and it could not have been better. We visited Minocqua on our first out of town get away the year before we were married. My wife and I look forward to a return visit. We both bonded very quickly to the neighbor’s dog Hannah. She is very friendly and well behaved. Thanks Brian for the time in your cabin on the lake. Going out on the lake in the paddle boat was also a lot of fun. Thanks again. We love this house. The house is very clean and on the water. We used the paddle boat that was provided. We come up for the Tomahawk Fall ride and there are so many beautiful roads around. The owner is very prompt with responses. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thanks Brian!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This vacation home was exactly as described; quiet, perfectly clean and in a beautiful location, right on the lake. We visited Minocqua, very charming and welcoming town! We stayed the fourth of july week and the lake was never overly busy or crowded. We used the paddle boat and canoe all week. The lake bottom is sandy but with shells and rocks, we recommend swim shoes. The rooms in the cottage were much larger than we expected with very large closets and lots of hangers for us. Our family of four had plenty of space to spread out. On our walks in the area we saw lots of wildlife and we caught fish every day! Another thing to keep in mind, the firepit is very close to a woodsy area, bring lots of bug spray and firewood is NOT provided and the gas station nearest the cottage does not have firewood, you have to go further to get it. We are excited to go back next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: We haven't supplied firewood since not everyone uses the fire pit and to maintain our prices. There is firewood available at the (3) closest gas stations with in approximatley 10 Minutes from our lake house.
