With many choices to choose from, WE LUCKED OUT!!! We had the best week. We went to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I had visited San Miguel while in college, 27 years earlier and had always wanted to take my husband. The home is in mint condition with every amenity. No expenses were spared in the construction, design and furnishings. We were spoiled with maid and garderner service! The walk to El Centro was so pleasant, not any trouble at all, even with me recuperating from a back and nerve injury. Taxis are affordable and easily accessible to get back to the house. The rooftop patio is an added bonus with beautiful sunsets and views! Having a Vonage US phone and high speed internet was also a blessing. Another huge blessing was working with Lynn. 5 stars, without hesitation.

I spent a week in San Miguel earlier this month and stayed in this beautiful house. The most memorable thing about San Miguel was the gorgeous views from the rooftop. I was literally up in the rooftop every single day I was there, whether early in the morning, or around sunset, or while enjoying a glass of wine under the stars. The house itself is incredibly well designed. I always love houses with lots of natural light so I knew I'd like this house immediately. The colors are warm and fitting for Mexico and so are all the little decorative details. The rooms are spacious and the living area on the ground floor will easily accommodate a family or a group of friends traveling together. The kitchen is great as well. If you're looking to cook instead of eating out every night then this is the kitchen for you. There's also a little garden where you can choose to have brunch or of course the rooftop. I can't be effusive enough about the rooftop! San Miguel itself is a charming little town and the center of town is within walking distance. I'd recommend walking into town then taking a cab back since those hills can be quite a challenge. Spend your day exploring the multiple churches and staring at the wood and iron work of old homes or inside the different private galleries in town. For excursions outside of the city Guanajuato, another UNESCO heritage site is only an hour and 15 mins by bus. And the Canada de la Virgen, half an hour from San Miguel, is worth seeing. There's also the hot springs at La Gruta. For shopping I recommend stopping by at the Artisans Market. All in all my week at San Miguel was a wonderful one and Casa Puesta del Sol was a great house to stay at.

Killer Views, Every Comfort Imaginable, and Service With A Smile!

My wife and I recently spent 3 weeks at Puesta Del Sol at the start of our extended stay in San Miguel and found it hard to leave when it was time to move on. We were enchanted with the unparalleled views from the rooftop, enamored with the kitchen facilities (having reverse osmosis treated water is so convenient too), and simply delighted with the light and space of the home. And then there were the staff, Jorge the gardener and Azucena the maid/cook-- they were so discreet yet personable and really catered to our personalities and needs as if we were long lost family friends. Sound too good to be true? It almost was. Of course, there is one other small "benefit" I should mention-- the hill leading up to the house provided mandatory exercise each day to help work off the calories of living the good life in SMA but you can cheat and simply catch a cab back home too). It's not often that a place delivers on everything it is represented to be, but this home certainly did, and provided us with a sensational start to our extended holiday.

We sppent a long weekend at Puesta del Sol. The house was beautifully furnished and had a complete kitchen with everything we needed. We enjoyed the stay and would return again.

We stayed here for a week in January 2010. There were six of us, two couples and two teens. The house is as beautiful as it appears in the photos, even more so.. The setup is perfect for two couples-both get to have master suites with bathrooms. We were thrilled with the rooftop terrace and enjoyed it nightly. The house was spotlessly clean and the maid came while we were there. The real estate agent met us upon arrival and showed us everything about the house. She provided phone numbers and was available 24/7. San Miguel is a spectacular place to visit. Taxis are a phone call away, there is a big grocery store nearby. Visit the mercardo, downtown jardin, and enjoy the local foods. Owner is great to work with-no problems. Don't miss this house if you go to SMA. Hope to return next year.

We stayed here for a week in January, 2010. The house is absolutely gorgeous. It is decorated to the "T" with true Mexican flavor and local treasures. I came home and had to have a copper sink like the one in the kitchen and several Lupita dolls like the ones used to decorate in the house.There were six of us and we were all very comfortable. The rooftop view is stunning, you can see the entire city. One of the best things about the house is that it has two master suites, so two couples can both be very comfortable. We were met by a local realtor who explained everything to us upon arrival. It was hard to go home! The atrium entrance is beautiful as well as the courtyard. No problems-great to deal with. We used a taxi to get about this spectacular city with no problems. House has all the amenities of home-we could even call home-don't miss it!!!!

WOW-We spent almost 2 weeks in this wonderful home. We loved the roof top for the views of the city with the fire pit/ cozy seating, and dining. The out door garden area was another special spot for us. With the atrium doors opening from the living and dining rooms, we enjoyed our morning coffee. The kitchen has every thing we needed and more, from expresso machine to beautiful dishes. Full washer and dryer just off the kitchen area. There was no fighting over who would get the better bedroom because on the second floor was two wonderful master bedroom suites. We felt very safe in this area and did alot for walking. We walked to town/ the shops on the cobble stone streets and I took pictures of the "Doors of San Miguel", what fun I had. I could go on and on but want to thank the owner for opening this wonderful home to us. We will be back and can not think of any other place to stay but here.

Aloha, I live in Kauai but San Miguel is one of my favorite places to visit. Puesta del Sol represents everything I love about San Miguel. The views are awesome and the sunset will knock your socks off! The home is walking distance to the centro. I love the stone arches and the beautiful garden. You will not be disappointed with your stay here!

From the front door to the roof top this house is a delight. The beautiful mexican architecture is reflected everywhere, even in the ceilings. The double windows open to let in the cool night air which makes for a refreshing nights sleep. The modern conveniences completes the comfort zone for a delightful visit. From the garden for breakfast to the rooftop for evening drinks all was perfect. I wholeheartedly look forward to returning. Thanks
