We so much enjoyed the opportunity to once again roam the beaches, watch the breakers crash and relax in this wonderful seaside (its only 100 ft. away) condo. The most vigorous and relaxing times occurred doing the hot tub. The wind was gusting at 60 mph and 39 degrees chilly, with the snow blowing sideways while we read our books sitting in the covered hot tub. To get in and out was the challenge even tho the front door is a mere 5 feet away. A polar walk in the wind and then a soothing 104 degree hot tub to warm us back up. Then to the fireplace to watch the sun go down over the stormy seas. This place will turn anyone into a poet. Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality. We will enjoy returning again.

A Great Ocean Get Away........Look No Further!

We just spent five nights at the Beach Bum and had a great time. The property is right on the beach and the ocean is just over the dunes. You'll love watching the sun set while relaxing in the hot tub....its a great way to end the day. The Inn is fully equipped and we enjoyed grilling steaks and salmon on the outdoor grill. In the summer we can only imagine how nice it would be to sit around the fire pit, watching the stars and listening to the waves crash on the shore (the nights were too cool in mid-October!) Your hosts, Patti and Jim are very friendly and helpful. Be sure to ask Patti about the local vegetable market and meat shop in Aberdeen. We bought all of our fresh food at these two locations and they are highly recommened. The Beach Bum is ideally situated for day trips into Olympic National Park as Ruby Beach, Kalaloch and Lake Quinault are just 60 minutes away. Forks, La Push and the Hoh Rain Forest can also be accessed from the Inn but it means getting going earlier and getting back later. Ocean Shores, Aberbeen and Westport also make interesting day trips and are within 90 minutes of the Beach Bum. If you want to see some other interesting beaches purchase a beach pass from the Quinault Indian Nation in Taholah and explore Point Grenville and the beaches to the south. For the really adventuresome plan on visiting Elephant Rock. This is way off the beaten path and is up a 7-8 mile very primitive and very rough road. Travel should be restricted to 4x4 vehicles. Take a saw and axe as you may have to chop a few trees down to clear the way! The views and scenery do make the trip worthwhile. All in all the Beach Bum Inn has a lot to offer and is great place to relax or use as a base for day trips. Its a very well equipped and clean vacation spot with miles of wide sandy beaches right outside the door. We will certainly be recommending the Inn to friends and family heading to the west coast of Washington State.

Besides being right here on the beach with lots of beachcombing, kite flying, fishing, surfing, hottubbing, etc.,We have pristine forests (including the rain forest) to hike and explore. The Quinault Indian Nation, just north of us, has some of the most beautiful beaches on the West Coast; with huge rock formations and tide pools. You can venture farther north too and be in Forks with the Vampires or out at LaPush or Lake Ozette. All incredibly beautiful country! Thanks again for choosing the Beach Bum Inn. Having visited for a 3-day weekend in February, the Beach Bum Inn was the first place that came to mind when we wanted to get away for an entire week. The listing is accurate to the last detail about all the amenities. The property was clean and ready upon our arrival, and the owners are so gracious and accommodating. Not only WOULD I recommend this property to friends, I HAVE, and continue to recommend it to everyone I know; friends, family, and business associates alike. The quiet cozy location is within reasonable driving distance to resort attractions, but distant enough to be away from tourist traffic. It is safe to say that we plan on returning over and over again! Dan & Joy

The Beach Bum Inn is a slice of heaven

We absolutely loved our stay at the Beach Bum Inn. The accomodations are very clean, comfortable and thoughtfully layed out. And with the easy access to the beach (right off the patio) it made for a perfect weekend. All the windows hold expansive and unobstructed views of the ocean. Patti and Jim are terrific hosts and a wealth of information about the area. We rode our bikes on the beach at low tide - very fun. If you like beachcombing - this is the ideal location - it is at a premium in this area! We made good use of the grill, the hottub and firepit and stack of kindling - the stargazing was even better than the beach combing! It was so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. Great Beach Getaway

We have stayed at a lot of beach front properties and the Beach Bum Inn is now at the top of our list. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is clean, quaint and comfortable. Jim and Patty are exceptional hosts ... very considerate of your privacy but also extremely hospitable. We can't say enough good things about our stay. If you are looking for a relaxing and inviting beach getaway, this is the place.

3 nights was too short a time to fully enjoy this fantastic place. Thank you for such a special, cozy beach house to relax in. Fantastic views, a sheltered hot tub to watch the clouds and moon go by, spacious living room, a complete kitchen, and the beach 100 feet away to walk on, made our long weekend one of our most memorable, relaxing, and inspiring visits to the ocean. We will have to enjoy this place again in the future. Thanks so much!

When you have such a treasure as living on the beach, it only makes it better to be able to share it with others. We too spent many years working and raising a family in the city. We stayed at the Beach Bum Inn for 3 peaceful nights. If you are looking for solitude and relaxation, this is the place to stay. With very few people on the beach, the beachcombing was much better than in the nearby towns. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and cozy. The extra touches made it even more enjoyable, including the hot tub and the Weber grill. I especially loved the gleeful garden and the indoor fishing theme. Yep, the Beach Bum Inn is 5 stars (*****) all the way.

We loved the solitude, privacy, peace and quiet and just being able to "veg out" for several days with no schedule. We went to The Beach Bum Inn/106356 for a week, had a wonderful time. Recommend this unit and locatioin to anyone looking for a quiet spot with long walks on the beach and a hot tub. Good dining is not far away either.

We have a "stormy" life. We have a business, five kids, two son-in-laws, two grandchildren, two dogs, four cats and two turtles. Throw in water polo, drivers ed, Sat. tests, tennis . .well sometimes we feel like we live in the "perfect storm". What better way to celebrate our anniversary than the coast in October? The Beach Bum Inn allowed us three days of pure laziness, quiet and peace. You have a little spot of heaven and nature and were gracious enough to share it with us. A simple Thank You.

This place is incredible! We had so much fun. The view is magnificent & perfect beach access. We got a good collection of sand dollars. The casino was pretty close, which made it an easy day activity. Definitely took advantage of the hot tub. Excellent weather for kite flying also. Took tons of pictures of the beautiful sunsets. Its so peaceful, clean and quiet here. We made great memories here. This was the best wedding present ever! We will be coming back here again for sure!! We've been down on the Oregon coast for a vacation, this definitely beat that vacation out! The owners are very courteous and totally respected our privacy. We will for sure pass the word on about this place!! Great times! Good times!

What a beautiful place! What a wonderful time we had! Thank you for providing this fabulous venue for our enjoyment of the fabulous surroundings. We are planning on making this a yearly event. The Beach Bum Inn is the most wonderful place along the coast I've found. I've been to many hotels, vacation rentals and bed & breakfast places here, in Ocean Shores, Long Beach & Whidby Island and I have to say this is the best place anywhere. John had a great time on the beach with his kite and we both enjoyed building sand castles & finding beach treasures. I cannot get over how perfect your place is. What it has to offer . . so close to the beach & ocean view, hot tub and everything inside & out. We had a blast with roasting marshmellows on your fire pit. We had a wonderful time at Lake Quinault & Ocean Shores when we weren't on the beach or in the hot tub or roasting marshmallows or flying kites or just enjoying the view. Thank you again- hope you'll have us back!

Your Beach Bum Inn is incredible. I had an extraordinary stay. It was exactly what I needed. I will be recommending this place to my friends. I look forward to returning again! Last night, after an incredible sunset, the sliver of a moon reflected in the ocean - can only be described as amazing. Going to sleep with that view from the bedroom windows was amazing.
