Historic East Side Victorian
This beautiful, 3500 square foot home built in the mid-1850’s boasts fine woodwork, high ceilings, multiple fireplaces, and plenty of room for your guests. Both living room and family room are 30x15 square feet. The formal dining room will accommodate eight at the table, and is large enough to accommodate a second table. Sleeping accommodations consist of three large bedrooms with new queen size pillow top beds. The family room and den have high quality sleeper sofas with built in mattresses. The kitchen is outfitted with all you need to cook a gourmet meal, or heat up take out food.
The book "The King Pin," was written about a family who lived at our Ridge Street home many years ago. This book is available in the local library for reading.
We have some great contacts for catering and restaurants, should the need arise. The home is just a short walk to the lower harbor marina, the maritime museum, the library, downtown restaurants, the theater, and shopping. Some other interesting spots to visit in Marquette are Greywalls--voted top 10 new golf course in the USA by Golf Magazine--the Dead River Falls, Mount Marquette, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Big Bay, Whitefish Falls, Standard Rock, The Casino, Picture Rocks National Lake Shore Park, Presque Isle, the Ski Hall of Fame, Republic Mine, and the beach.
It doesn't matter whether you’re coming for a family reunion, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, boating, or just a relaxing weekend enjoying the fall colors, you will always find Marquette a charming vacation destination with excellent accommodations at our Ridge Street Home. Eastside/Beachside rentals accommodates as many as 20 guests.
