A quick 30-minute drive east of Salt Lake via I-80 is Park City, home to three major ski areas: Park City Mountain Resort, The Canyons, and Deer Valley. These mountains are characterized by their steep canyons and abundant snowfall, the combination of which makes for legendary skiing.

If your looking for the ideal resort, your search is over. This two bedrooms, three full baths, and an alcove area (two twin beds) sleeps up to seven people comfortably. The 1300-square-foot townhome is located on the Swaner Nature Preserve which cherishes wildlife and beautiful mountain views.

The 1100-acre preserve is surrounded by landscaped trails that are inviting to walking, biking, roller blading, and cross-country skiing.

Within walking distance are two state-of-the-art fitness centers, plenty of shopping, dining and nightlife, movie theater, equipment rentals, medical clinic, etc. A transit-hub provides a 30-minute free public bus accessing Old Town, where you can spend several hours wandering along historic main street. Even with the in-rush of galleries, gift shops, and trendy restaurants, there is still considerable old west charm here.

Additionally, in the winter, visitors have the luxury of an exclusive Newpark Express Bus to three Park City resorts - morning, noon, and at the end of the skiing day. (Convenient bus service also available to the Salt Lake area resorts of Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, and Brighton, all for nominal fees and short excursion times.)

This is a great location, we walked to great restaurants,to the grocery store, shopping etc. The condo is exceptional, very beautiful, and comfortable. we really enjoyed the hot tub ,and wifi. Park city is our favorite resort and it's a stone throw away. We also skied the Canyons it was OK also. The kids wanted to bowl one night and it was a short walk but brisk(20degrees). We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year. The rental prices were reasonable and we will be coming again next year see you then. Thanks again!

Newpark condo

This is a great condo and the photos really don’t do it justice. The Newpark location is very nice, new and clean and is a short walk to some great shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Great location. Right off the interstate and a very short drive to Canyons and Park City. 45 minutes to most other resorts. Would love to live here. A few complaints: the process to get the rental setup took longer than usual. The owners do not respond to phone calls or e-mails until a few days later so booking the condo was a little frustrating. We had a hard time getting the fireplace to work since there were no instructions for lighting the gas pilot. While away skiing at Snowbird for the day, the CO2 detector went off while we had a family member at the condo with a baby. The owner did not have proper local maintenance personnel to handle the situation so we lost a day of skiing since we had to drive back and see what was going on. The hot tub is very small, good for 2 adults, and keeps leaking. Also, it takes forever to get hot water in sinks or showers and the heat does not work very good upstairs. Some things to consider. Overall, I love Park City and was very impressed by Newpark and would definitely rent in this area again.

Beyond expectation!

Wow! This is not your typical rental. While I have always been pleased by the properties I have rented through VRBO this condo was the best yet. But, I will have to say the "photos do not accurately reflect the rental's appearance" because it is far nicer. The decor is similar to what you would find in a very upscale home. The kitchen is quite well appointed (and there were staple condiments/etc. available which is such a nice touch when you are staying for a short amount of time). The beds were most comfortable, the baths clean and spacious with tons of towels, and the hot tub and fireplace are wonderful after a full day of skiing. We also appreciated the heated single car garage for convenience. The Kimball Junction area is great to stay in if you do not mind a short commute to the mountains. There are wonderful restaurants--we loved Maxwells, Good Thymes, and the bakery right in the same complex area plus a grocery within walking distance. We did not utilize the Park City buses but saw them come past the main building fairly frequently. The owner, Sharon was very easy to work with and I think the property rates were a little below others in the area yet none could be nicer. Would certainly recommend to friends and will return if the opportunity arises. I do not usually take the time to write reviews unless a property is exceptionally good or bad and this one definitely qualifies as the former!
