We are situated on nearly 2 acre lush oasis set back 100 meters off THE MAIN street in Escazu (San Rafael - The Beverly Hills of Costa Rica). With all the vegetation, most guests say they feel like they are in the mountains here!

The FOUNTAINS is a unique space PERFECT for those wanting the EASE of a base to explore much of Costa Rica from as we're within less than 2 hours from a large percentage of things to see in/around Costa Rica in the Central Valley (we have many wonderful tour guides/drivers to assist you!)!

Suite 1 SPACIOUS - A VERY spacious newly redecorated Master Suite with King bed with Memory Foam mattress topper (can be separated into 2 Twins), tv, cd/cassette boombox. Big secluded patio with bench and chaise. BIG Private bathroom with tub, separate shower for 2, double sink and even a BIDET! When paying Regular rates (with NO discounts) we give you sheets of 400+ count!

Suite 2 4 Room Suite has a Sitting Room with Double Futon, tv, dvd player and a desk (this privately is only when renting at the full price), the Sleeping Room we call CUBBY HOLE because it's a snug sleeping room has a Queen Memory Foam bed & the S/M Room has all the goodies. Lay in bed here & see the stars & moon on a clear night and all the mirrors brings the outside garden in! It also has a Sun/Meditation Room with fountain, table/chairs, cd/cassette boombox+ and Private Bathroom (tiny). We give you sheets of 400+ count when paying the Full Rate! If renting #2 at a big discounted rate, someone else MAY be renting #6 or it may be used as a Common Space where other guests can watch tv.

Room 3 INSPIRATION - A newly redecorated spacious suite with 2 walls of windows looking out onto the front grounds, King bed with memory foam topper (can be separated into 2 Twin beds). Spacious shared bathroom with large shower (for 2!!) & BIDET. Shares with Awakening.

Room 4 AWAKENING - Yah either love or can not handle this spacious energetic room in purples and fuchsias! 2 Twin beds (can be made into a King with mattress toppers) face out looking onto the lush grounds in front. Spacious shared bathroom with large shower (for 2!!) & BIDET. Shares with Inspiration.

Room 5 SECLUSION - Our only Handicap Accessible room with a Full futon with foam topper & all the goodies above plus a private bathroom with large shower (easy access).

Room 6 THE BRIDGE - 2 twin beds that can cozily push together. Shared tiny bathroom (not available when #6 is rented at full rate).

All rooms have LOTS & LOTS of pillows (different firmness levels - we're thinking about YOUR needs!!) and more!

Our home is also known as "The House of Self Empowerment" where some AWESOME Massage Therapist and other holistic practitioners see their clients so you have those services available to you also!!

And it's a Donation Drop-Off Point for donations for MANY charities throughout Costa Rica (your hostess Vicki Skinner is starting a program to encourage Tourists to gift back when they come to Costa Rica by bringing items they no longer need as we WILL find LOTS of good use for them!!).

We're also a Retreat Property and Workshop Space so who knows what interesting thing may be happening while you're here!!

  • King Bed: 4 King Beds (all are actually 2 twin beds strapped together with a memory foam mattress topper so you don't feel the split!).
  • Queen Bed: Suite #2 has A LUXURIOUS Memory Foam Bed with NO coils!! GREAT for people with body pains (I wake up with NO pain when I sleep in this "womb" with no pillows!!) or high blood pressure!!
  • Double Bed: Room #6 (aka the Sitting Room for Suite 2) has a Full size Futon with a foam topper so it can be hard or softer!!
  • Twin/Single Bed (9) : 4 of the rooms have 2 Twin beds (which can be strapped together with a memory or foam mattress topper making into King beds) PLUS 3 more Twin beds in the livingroom (inquire for pricing for additional people)
  • Convertible Bed: We have an extra full size futon in the office, a Twin Futon chair, a Queen Size Air Mattress, 2 Twin Air Mattresses, a little roll-away plus 3 Twin Mattresses in the Livingroom available if needed (for an extra fee for the additional people).

  • Full Kitchen: The large BIG BRIGHT Kitchen has just about everything you can need (sorry - no dishwasher as we're working towards being a more Sustainable property) including Filtered Drinking Water (though the water in Costa Rica is one of the best/safest in the world), microwave, toaster/convection oven, juicer, food dehydrator, blender, ice cream maker, lettuce spinner, wok & bamboo steamer, LOTS of pots and pans. We’re into recycling and composting.
  • Shared Kitchen: When staying with us as a guest house, it's a total Me Casa es Su Casa feel! You have total use of the house including the kitchen (just clean up after yourself since I'm not a Domestic Goddess).
  • Cooking Utensils Provided: Everything you could need for a large group!
  • Refrigerator: FUN bright ORANGE side-by-side that guests share!
  • Microwave: Also painted orange!!
  • Ice Maker
  • Catering Available: Available but who needs catering when you have OVER 50 GOOD restaurants within a 15 block radius - many which will even deliver!!

  • Deck/Patio: The side patio is where most LOVE to eat (table and 4 chairs). We also use the carport as a patio space with table and chairs so you get to look over the lush grounds. We have 3 picnic table length tables to make into one long one plus 4 additional round plastic tables each with 4 chairs.
  • Gazebo: This is also known as our Outside Massage area!!
• Communications
  • Telephone: Up to 10 minutes a day to make Free locals calls within Costa Rica.
  • Free Long Distance: FREE unlimited calls to the U.S. and Canada via Vonage.
  • Cell Phone: We have a guest cell available for rent for $9/day ($8/day if 8+ days) + a $200 deposit with LOTS of FREE phone calls.

  • WiFi (Wireless Internet): Wireless / WiFi connection throughout at least the West end of the house (since it's 6,000 sq' of concrete but it often reaches further).

  • We are working towards the house being more & more "Sustainable"!!! We recycle & have a composite pile & are using more & more natural products for cleaning, etc. It's not crucial you do it but we welcome you to!
• Suitability
  • Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): We have one bedroom with a private bathroom that is accessible to people with mobility issues. It now has a bar in the shower and by the toilet. When renting as a 7 bedroom, we have a small room off Office I where we can put 2 twin beds - perfect for kids plus on the same level (though the bathroom is 3 rooms over).
  • Wheelchair Accessible (may have limitations): We have one bedroom with a private bathroom that is easily accessible to people with mobility issues. There is a 5" tile outside the shower (the shower is LARGE and can easily fit a wheelchair and 1-2 people)
  • Kid Friendly: Because our focus of the Guest House is creating a tranquil environment, we only allow children 12+ & may consider younger kids if close to the arrival date as long as everyone is considerate of keeping this energy (without suppressing their Spirits!) & the parents do the childproofing of the house (it's a BIG task!!).
