We had a wonderful experience from the time we booked our reservation until the time we left. The house was plenty big for our family of four. Absolutely loved the wrap around porch!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Hey! Thank you so much for the great reviews. They give me a very happy feeling. I love my little house. I want you all to love it too, and think of it as home at the beach. Mi casa es su casa. Always feel free to e-mail me if there is something that needs work or improvement. Thanks! P

My family of four loved our stay in this cottage and Tybee Island. The cottage had everything we needed to make us feel at home. My teenaged son loved the attic loft. The porch is wonderful as is the swing. We will definitely come back to this welcoming island paradise.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My family of 5 stayed here for 5 nights. We walked to the beach daily, out to eat, and the surf shops. When we arrived the house was clean, organized, and in good repair. I spoke to the owner before booking. She was very helpful and encouraged me to call if there were any questions or problems. This is a one story duplex. The king sized bedroom faces the other half of the house and the queen sized bedroom faces the street with the ladder for the loft. Both bedrooms have a full bath (one shower and one bathtub). The washer and dryer are in a room off of the queen bedroom. The floor plan is very open and welcoming. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. There is plenty of room to sit outside on the enclosed porch. The outside shower has a wall of bushes that form an L so that only one side is exposed.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This property was very nice and exactly fit our needs for this holiday visit to our son in Savannah. It was close enough to Savannah to drive back and forth but gave us freedom so as not to infringe on his small apartment in the historic district. The upstairs loft was a little tricky with the ladder, and we ended up bringing a small mattress downstairs for my daughter who was certain there were ghosts in the attic. But overall the furnishings were very comfortable and roomy. The owners were very nice and helpful in getting things arranged for our stay. The location is also very nice -very close to the beach and to restaurants, ice cream and other typical beach retail shops. I would like to warn anyone visiting Tybee Island that there are two very vigilant officers patrolling the beach. When my son came to join us on the beach, we found out the hard way - (250.00 fine), that no dogs are allowed on the beach, even in the off-season. No warning - rigid, zero tolerance. Be sure to read the long list of prohibitions before venturing out! I would recommend that ALL vacation rentals post this in big letters on the fridge. It's only fair :)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This was our third time staying there, so I guess it is obvious that we love the place. The porch is welcoming, and nice to leave some things on overnight. The interior is clean, spacious, more than adequate for our needs, and very relaxing. The sofa and chairs are comfy and the beds are, too! There are plenty of supplies in the kitchen, like appliances, pots, pans, dishes, glasses and utensils. The loft upstairs is an awesome place for the kids to play the playstation and the location is perfect. Its off the beaten path, yet close to the beach, the back river and shopping. I highly recommend it to anyone who is seeking an avg family rental or even a two couple rental. The split bedroom plan is wonderful!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This property is so close to the beach! Considering all the parking is fee parking, it's worth a lot to have private, reserved parking within a block of the beach. The rental is comfortable, convenient, and has all the necessary amenities. The landlord was a pleasure to deal with. And words don't adequately describe how great the twin-sized porch swing is. Enjoy your trip to Tybee Island.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We did a "girls" vacation and stayed here. We had a blast! The location was perfect. Only a block from the beach and within walking distance of all the "action"! As for the earlier guests poor comments go we found the place very cozy and "beachy". I will come back with my teen aged son for a family vacation as its not the stuffy kind of place that I would worry about him tracking sand in. Very homey and comfortable! I also met the owner of the other side of the duplex and she was delightful! She also rents and is the sister of this owner. So get a group and rent both sides! You'll have a ball, I promise! Oh, almost forgot, they had bikes! Tybee is nice and flat...ride out to the lighthouse!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Our two families consisting of two moms and four teenagers (13, 14, 14 and 16) stayed in the cottage this summer for a week. We absolutely loved it. We liked the location of the house towards the very end of the island and only one short block away from the beach. Tybee Island is very laid back, friendly and the house matches that atmosphere. It is spacious, with lost of room to lounge and we even liked the gently beat up feel to it. The kitchen was well equipped and sleeping in the attic was fine. We filled our days with going to the beach, taking bike rides (3 bikes provided), going to Savannah (spellbinding) and other local attractions. Overall we were happy to find affordable accommodation on a wonderful island and the memories will stay for long.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
This is my happy place. I love reading on the front porch, biking the back roads, and doing tai chi on the beach. When I get to Tybee I don't like to start up my car. I like to go everywhere by bike.
