Our 3 night stay was made possible by owner, Larry's considerate accommodation of our need to change our original plan and reserved dates. Once settled in, we found this cabin to be more than adequate for our stay. Our original plan included our teen and adult children who were unable to join us, but is they were there, they would have loved all the amenities like TVs and rec room with pool table at Grin and Bear It! Weather was too cold to spend much time outdoors, but we managed to fit in a wonderful sunny morning with coffee on the back deck. Also, took full advantage of the wood-burning fireplace and supply of logs on site...did need to buy some kindling, but was so worth it to have a blazing fire every night. We enjoyed venturing into Young Harris and Hiawassee for some wonderful meals at Enricos and Michaelee's Chocolate Cafe. The cabin is also located conveniently off 19/129, just a few miles north of Blairsville and south of Murphy, NC. We look forward to our next visit!

My family recently had a chance to stay at this lovely cabin and we cannot wait to go back. The cabin is beautiful and in a very peaceful setting. The owners are great and easy to work with. They have thought of everything to make this cabin a home away from home. We really enjoyed sitting out on the back deck every morning watching the hummingbirds and rabbits come by and the fire pit and roasting marshmallows every night was a big hit with our kids. There is so much to do right at the cabin as well as nearby. We have stayed at many cabins and this one by far is the best. Wonderful vacation!!!

I can't say enough good things about the experience we had here! The home is exactly as the pictures show. The view was awesome, the cabin itself was furnished beautifully, it was quiet and very safe since it is a gated community, and other than your favorite foods, the cabin had everything you could possibly want in a home away from home. The owner is wonderful to work with, a very nice man! I would rent again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I recently rented the cabin for a four day weekend. We had some friends over for one of the nights and then enjoyed time alone for the rest of the stay. This cabin was a great find and we will definitely go back, hopefully soon. It is a great place for multiple couples looking to enjoy some time together as friends and offers lots of activities, like pool table, foosball, hottub, great sitting areas, movies and much more. But all the bedrooms are also on different floors with their own bathrooms allowing for each couple to have their own privacy and get away place too. The kitchen had everything we needed and they even keep a lot of things stocked for the guests. If one of the couples has kids, there is a sleeper sofa next to the master bedroom in the loft that is perfect for kids and wont get in the way with other people in the house, unlike some places who have sleeper sofa's in the main living room area. We were able to drive about 12 minutes into blairsville and walk around town, visit shops and eat some local cuisine, and later we stopped by the different mountain rustic furniture makers that are close to the house. It's in a gated community so there is no worry about random people or danger but it also secluded enough that you do not feel like you surrounded by people or neighbors. Great deck, fire pit, and view... So like I said, I very much enjoyed it, and for the price and location and amenties, you wont beat it!!! Go ahead and make your reservation, it's worth it!!!

Larry and Marsha, It is hard to believe this was our 4th year in a row for Thanksgiving week. As always, the place was immaculate. All the fall decorations were beautiful and made us feel right at home for our family Thanksgiving celebration. Plus, it motivated Wendy and the kids to completely re-do the whole place for Christmas. Once again, we were priviledged to put up the tree. This place is WONDERFUL. There is never enough time and I thought we were going to have to leave to kids up there since they nearly refused to leave. This was our second time back, and our stay was as good and even better than the first. We came in eary April, and the kids were able to see and play in snow (not typical for April) for the first time ever! Once again, the cabin was impeccable and with all of the amenities, we didn't need to go to far and just loved being there. Because it was cooler, we were able to take advantage of the wood burning fireplace and roast marshmellows many nights. We'll be back again for another wonderful cabin experience. Like everyone else, my wife and I were very impressed with this beautiful, clean, incredibly well-appointed home. The quality furniture is all very comfortable. With the pool table, foosball, huge video library and high-speed internet, rainy days were enjoyable, too. We have been renting vacation homes through VRBO for several years, and we have never encountered an owner as pleasant, considerate, and easy to deal with as Larry Stewart. Grin and Bear was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. The cabin was beautiful, clean, well designed, and it was unbelievably stocked with everything you may or may not need. A great quiet place to get away from it all and relax. Larry was wonderful to deal with and he could easily charge more then he asks. Other cabins are also located in the same gated community so it would be a great to have family and friends vacation together but with some privacy. Just remember to keep Grin and Bear for yourself.

Grin and bear it is equipped with all the amenities. Not only every dish for cooking your favorite meals, but food and drinks as well. There was never a dull moment! You can sit by the fire and enjoy a good book, relax on the porch taking in the great views, hang out in the game room and shoot some pool, build a campfire and roast some marshmallows, unwind in the hot tub, or just watch one of the many movies they have on hand, just to name a few. The cabin was beautifully decorated, yet felt like home. Our family cannot wait to vacation there again next year. Thank you Larry for the wonderful experience!

From our the moment we entered the cabin the experience at "Grin and Bear it" was great. We've vacationed in north Ga the last 6 years and have never rented a property that felt more like home than this one. We rented Grin and Bear It for only a weekend. Now, we wish we would have booked a longer time. The cabin was immaculate and well stocked for everyone...wanted for nothing. We have rented cabins/houses in Blairsville previously and have been either mislead or disappointed by the property. There was nothing diappointing about this place. Excellent! We will book again and again when we have occasion to be there. Best place we've found in the area!

Staying at Grin and Bear was a wonderful time of rest for us. We were so pleased with the cabin--it was clean and well stocked and that is just the beginning the view of the mountains was awesome. We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Larry and Marsha have gone out of their way to make sure that their guests feel at home and they have thought of everything. My family vacations in the GA Mountains almost every year, and this cabin was, by far, the best, most economical rental we've ever seen!My entire family was thoroughly entertained by the board games, pool table, hot tub, and PS2. There was even a firepit for roasting marshmallows. Larry and Marsha have really accommodated all ages with their beautiful cabin and all its amenities (which are too numerous to list!). As long as their cabin is available for renting, we’ve found our perfect home away from home. There’s no reason to explore any other options. This cabin is a real winner!From my first email inquiry about this rental to the return of my deposit, all of my business transactions with Larry were smooth and enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from this family again.

Wow - what a great cabin! We highly recommend this beautifully decorated cabin. Thank you, Larry & Marsha, for opening up your home to us and providing everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Our children (6 & 7) enjoyed it - especially the hot tub. We enjoyed the all the extras, like the pool table, stocked kitchen & a relaxing porch with a great view. Also, the cabin is within 15 min. of downtown Blairsville, Young Harris & Hiawassee. Oh, and Lake Nottely was so close, we rented a pontoon boat for the day. We can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed staying at Grin and Bear It. We have been there twice last year and highly recommend it. The neighborhood is so quiet. My daughter even saw four deer walk right thru the yard and my husband saw three turkeys fly across the road. The views are wonderful especially in the autumn. I was really impressed how well stocked the kitchen was, it's remarkable, you will totally feel at home.
